AMERICAN automaker Tesla Inc. announced on Thursday it would be recalling 53,000 cars worldwide because their parking brakes may get stuck and prevent the vehicles from moving. The recall affects Model S sedans and Model X SUVs vehicles built between February and October 2016. The vehicles may contain a small gear that was manufactured improperly by a supplier. Tesla said less than five percent of the vehicles it’s recalling may be affected, and it would take less than 45 minutes to replace the brakes. If the gear breaks, the parking brake could get stuck in place. Regular brakes aren’t affected by the problem. Tesla said there have been no accidents or injuries related to the problem, “however, in order to be overly cautious, we are going to be proactively replacing these parts to ensure that no issues arise,” the company said. The company will contact owners by mail and start repairs immediately. It expects to have sufficient parts for all of the affected vehicles by October. Tesla, led by entrepreneur Elon Musk, had said last year it would recall 2,700 Model X sport utility vehicles in the United States due to a faulty locking hinge in third-row seats. The most recent recall comes as Tesla remains close with General Motors as the US automaker with the highest market capitalisation. Some analysts have expressed scepticism about the meteoric rise in Tesla shares given that the company still sells only a fraction of cars compared with GM or Ford. Tesla's total production for 2016 was 83,922 vehicles and included both Model S and Model X, while Ford sold over six million and GM neared 10 million cars for the same year. https://www.thesun.co.uk/motors/3381261/tesla-issues-global-recall-for-53000-cars-over-issue-with-brakes-which-takes-just-45-minutes-to-fix/

To be player of the year, it’s a great honour.” On his move from Leicester to Stamford Bridge, Kante continued: “It’s a different type of playing, but with the manager, with the players, everything is easy, because we work a lot to be good in the games. It’s working very well.” Asked about the influence of boss Antonio Conte, the former Boulogne and Caen player said: “He knows what he wants from the players. Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli won the young player prize for the second successive season, Manchester City’s Lucy Bronze won the women’s player of the year award for the second time having also won it in 2014, and Birmingham’s Jess Carter topped the voting in the women’s young player category. Use an Android Parental Control App to Take Control Developers have specifically developed Android parental control apps to allow parents to ensure a safe use of Android mobile devices. The FamilyTime parental control app is the app that helps parents monitor their kid’s digital use and maintain a proportionate screen time for their kids. Following are the features provided by the FamilyTime app: 1. View Contacts, Call logs and SMS History. Using the FamilyTime parental control app for Android, parents can mirror the contact book of their kids, their call logs and SMS history with the date and time stamps and all available information on their own device. Not only this, if they find any contact suspicious, they can also put it to their Watchlist and receive instant alerts whenever the contact is made by either party either through SMS or call. 2. Keep an Eye on Installed Apps. Addicting apps can be devastating for your child’s physical health. By using FamilyTime, you can view the list of installed apps on your kid’s mobile device.with their related details such as the version of the app being used by the kid, date of installing the app, category of the app, etc. Parents can even view the app usage frequency too in order to know the time their kids spend on each app. This gives you an idea about the apps which consume most of your child’s time. FamilyTime allows parents to simply block a questionable and addicting app on their child’s cell phone. 3. Monitor Browsing History. FamilyTime lets parents view the browsing history of kids with details of URL and time of visit. With that, they can check the bookmarks and favourites in the browser. 4. Limit Screen Time. Parents can announce a limited screen time by scheduling an auto lock on their child’s phone. Using FamilyTime, you can even lock your child’s phone at any time of the day. There is a lot more that parents can do with this app. So, give FamilyTime app a free try by downloading it from the app store on your phone. http://gadgetsmedia.org/negative-effects-of-android-mobile-devices-on-kids-use-android-parental-control-app-to-minimize-the-dangers/

The rapid progression in technology and the cheaper prices have made it easier for kids as young as 13 years of age to own an Android mobile device. Parents consider that taking the cell phone away can minimise the negative effects of digital media. But, in reality, your child needs to have a mobile device nowadays considering the safety issues and the need for staying in touch with parents. To keep their children restricted from getting involved in dangerous activities online, parents need to educate their kids regarding safe digital conduct. Dark Side Of An Android Mobile Device. Following are the few factors which leave negative impacts on your child. By identifying these risks, parents can help their children stay safe. 1. Cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is certainly the most common thing among children nowadays. When you allow your child to take his/her cell phone to school, make sure you teach appropriate cell phone etiquettes to your kid. Most kids capture pictures of other kids or teachers without their consent and upload these pictures on social media to make fun of them. Bullying can be very disturbing for the positive personality development of both the bully and the victim. 2. Sexting. When you let your child own an Android mobile device, make sure you keep your child safe from sexting. Sexting has become a major parenting concern because more and more teenagers are getting involved in sexting. 3. Addicting Gaming Apps Most gaming apps promote violent or sexual content and leave a damaging effect on a child’s brain. Make sure your child only plays appropriate games on his/her Android device. 4. Excessive Use of Social Media An excessive use of social networking sites can make your child exposed to strangers who can be online predators or criminal minded people. Teach your child to change his/her password every once in a while to avoid hackers.

brandydaniells:Don't mind them... Educated illiterates will rush here to prove to us that its not possible. I lifted this from a site: Apparently cell phone signals are too weak to ignite gasoline vapors, but the human body can generate enough static electiricy (60,000 volts) from simply sliding out of your car seat to do just that. Do you pay attention to all those signs at the gas pump telling you to to make sure your car, cell phone, PDA, pacemaker, etc. are all turn off Other ways that a mobile phone could generate a spark at a petrol station/generator would be due to a defective battery(explosion) |
10) Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal – 5ft 6.5in The Chilean star has been in the headlines in recent weeks for his tantrums and his contract rebel status but he’s still Arsenal’s best player, with 22 goals this season.
9) N’Golo Kante, Chelsea – 5ft 6.5in The diminutive French star has not let his stature stop him from becoming the heavy favourite for the PFA Player of the Year award, or stopped him from dominating much bigger midfielders.
10) Joel Matip, Liverpool – 6ft 5in The Reds’ defence looks a lot more solid when the Cameroonian plays. The centre-back has been one of the signings of last summer after moving on a free from Schalke.
Santi Cazorla, Arsenal – 5ft 6inSadly for Gunners fans the brilliant midfielder played in just 10 matches before being ruled out for the season.
7) Joe Allen, Stoke – 5ft 6in Often criticised at Liverpool, the Welshman has enjoyed arguably the best season of his career with six goals under Mark Hughes.
