I personally think before you allow any tenant into your house there should be a written agreement of how the rents are to be paid. For example 6 - 12 months even more payments in advance or monthly payment in advance and also deposits in case of anything been destroyed in the apartments. There should be an agreement on eviction as well. If you have stubborn tenants, who claim he/she is too big to comply to the agreement, you also have to be stubborn. Get thugs from the street to evict them. The Landlord has to be very careful about the pretense that she sold the house on a written documents. Hmmmm, O'boy that is very dangerous even if the people concerned (pretend buyers) are her siblings, they can take it authentic and the poor Landlord concerned will loose her house. Get thugs from the street to evict them enough is enough. Is better she lock the place without tenants than people occupying without payments.

But then, that doesn't give the gym busybodies the right to avenge for the woman - it's really not their business, especially as the man didn't assault his wife in their presence (in which case they can claim that they attacked him defence of the woman).


The woman has family members she can report to. She can also report to respected individuals such as clerics, or if the matter warrants, law enforcement agencies.. She can even file for divorce.. The Nigerian Custom service (NCS) has announced the self-submission of three officers earlier declared wanted over alleged examination and clearing the ammunition-laden container at the Apapa port, Lagos State.

According to DCG Dan Ugo, Enforcement, Investigation & Inspection; “The Service wishes to inform the public that the three (3) Officers earlier declared wanted in connection with the clearance of the 661 pump action riffles have all reported and are being investigated”.

“NCS remains resolute on its determination to ensure that justice is served to all those found involved”.

An earlier report last week Tuesday noted that the officers, Abdullahi I, with service number 44483 ASC, and Odiba Haruna Inah, with service number 133386, fled after the weapons were uncovered by the operatives of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone A, Ikeja.

The Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (retd.), had said the agency arrested three suspects – Oscar Okafor (importer), Mahmud Hassan (clearing agent) and Sadique Mustapha (escort) – in connection with the arms smuggling.
