Towards the end of Wikes tenure and as usual with most government. Obaseki is presently doing that. Wike decided to recruit into the civil service. The whole idea was for the recruited people to massively vote for Fubara as that was the only way their jobs could be retained. Those recruited had their families to convince to vote Fubara as that was the only way they won't be sacked.
I personally voted Fubara for this reason. A close relative of mine benefitted from the recruitment. Fubara was aware that Wike took this decision to his benefits. Fubara won the election courtesy of this strategy. Before Fubara won these people had worked for over 4 to 5 months with promise that they would be paid once things got settled. While these people were merrying that Fubara had won Fubara first action in office was to sack them all.
He sacked them with no pay or compensation. These people underwent all the required process of civil service recruitment including issuing of Government ID Cards.
Some of them resigned their previous jobs.

Stop whining yourself, the real rason Wike recruited is the reason he is fighting Fubara, Fubara election was just a means to an end. The end is to keep controlling power and governance and be in charge of rivers state, Fubara being governor was just a tool for him. It is so sad if people were sacked, but i have not seen a report that says people were sacked, all Fubara did was cancel a flawed process, he will absorb the useful ones into the civil service, but verification has to be done. If the governor is right that the list is filled with people over 50s, then that does not make sense.

Blame politicians. A judge interpretes the law of the land/state. The governor and every other person is still subject to the interpretation of the law by the courts when an aggrieved person challenges the execution of the law by the governor.

it just crossed my mind that even if a sacked CBN staff collects payoff package of 75million.......that is approximately 50k dollars. This is not even enough to fund 1 child's masters in the US.

Wike has really reduced Fubara to nothing in Rivers. Take a look at how just a local government chairman is talking and speaking to a seating governor of his state - his supposedly boss! Honestly, Fubara has to really increase his strength to fight Wike for his emancipation and rightful possession of power in Rivers.

Sometimes u need to pick ur fights with wisdom, fubara is doing great. This one shouting is just wailing because he is going down and out. Fubara does not have to expend energy on this one. They can abuse him, he has the power, legally the situation is in his favour, the people/voters are with him, the election riggers and militants are with him, the grassroots politicians are with him, the plenty people that matter that wike turned into enemies are with him, even the greedy ones that just want to bebrelevant and make money from government are with him. I hope he knows he is a bigpart of the curse, because the crude oil that is a blessing that should be managed by people who get employed on merit into govt agencies like NNPC CBN and the rest, is sadly being managed by incompetent staff of those organizations many of whom are his children and extended family members that got employed over competent people because he used his influence to send them there.

hmmmm...SLS back on the throne, Kwankwaso doing meetings with Tinubu at the villa, Ganduje APC chairman, Wike working for APC, Fubara and presidency somehow having a good relationship.....TINUBU doing 2nd term project ahead of time. Ive always known naija will become a 1-party state with that man in power. Its a skill he has mastered, good for him, but not quite good for the country.
