manikspears: Simple, you know someone in the company, and for your information that your recruitment is the reason Nigeria remains the way it is today. No recruitment advertisement whatsoever and you were given the job. There was advert , I never said it was not advertised , and I was interviewed, and I was well qualified for the job. If I was not the kind of person they needed I would not have been recruited. It was based on recommendation. The company never regretted it because after I left, I became a consultant to that organization, l took the company to a whole new level. My first job in the U.S followed the same pattern, so it is not a Nigerian thing. When you develop youself continually job will look for you and not the other way round. Today I employ people into my business not based on how they organized their CV but what they actually know and can do and it has really helped my business. I hope you are OK with this? I won't respond to any mention again please. |

Except it is consumed immediately after packaging, it won't taste nice because of moisture from the polythene. Even the ones we buy in China they don't package. |

bid4rich: As well as I appreciate your write-up, one thing I want to point out is that we have many people wanting different things. If you have 5sec for a CV others have more than that to look for what they want.
Sometimes the information that the CV represent is more than how its written. Some may not be written badly but if you are looking for the one that suit your own taste by how well it was designed you may have missed out on a more qualified person with minimal design. Lets try and read through and not scan through as a human resource personnel A very good point! |
5. when you don't know anybody in the organization you are applying to you may end up seeing your CV as a suya paper.
I don't really know how important CV is in Nigeria. I got my first job without even applying when I was in Nigeria. I wrote application a week after I resumed. There are a lot of factors to consider, pray hard for favour. |

Jethrolite: Easier said than done, Facebook currently has the best advertising mechanism in the world. Advertisers will not want to see it die off and Facebook has more than enough money to settle its way through this problem. Facebook will soon be a thing of the past. Nothing (especially technology last forever, there is always what is called "cycle" I will want you to try and get this book ,"Cycles the mysterious trigger" by Og. You will have a clearer picture of what am saying. |
