Seun I really am sorry for you, your very simple assumption would have been a very good source of mirth had it not been for the fact that you deliberately tried to make yourself an expert on things that a truly simple mind like yours cannot even begin to comprehend, for starters everybody who went to secondary school in Nigeria was taught that the British had to resort to the creation of warrant chiefs for the Igbo when they found out that what the Igbo had was a communal style of leadership much like what the ancient Greeks had,a Parliament of some sort in every community ,never Kings, and that the Igbos rejected these Kings ,not to say that they were all bad but that it rankled the average Igbo man to have someone thrust on him no matter how capable simply because he emerged from the loins of a King,so the issue of an Eze Igbo in Calabar is of no consequence, its simply an attempt by one man to draw unnecssary attention and maybe patronage to himself by ascribing to himself a title that really means nothing to Ndi Igbo because its based on nothing it has no effect he cannot summon anybody or dispense justice on anyone so whats the use of being a King?it is of no effect,and if you ask me the Obong was right to squash such rubbish what we have always had has been Head men or the Leader of the Igbos in whatever foreign land they reside in numbers,as for my brother we have no designs on your territory you would do well to seek out those that run they compaines that exploit your environment and only make sure that their brothers and sons are employed in those compaines.A word is enough for the wise

I surely would God knows that alot of the people ruling us right now are worse than her and what is worse they assult our sensibilities each day with exultations for us to pray to God for a turn around in the fortunes of the country

My brother Afam,thank you very much for your post it simply goes to show people like Sam Omatseye and his ilk that regardless of the lies perpetuated by government and their collaborators in the media every true igbo youth  knows the truth, we see it every day as events confirm all that our fathers told us and no amount of Igbo bashing,blackmail,threats,violence and outright lies can capture or defeat the Igbo spirit.
To Mr Omatseye I can only say, I pity you ,for a man who has a family and can willing tell such bare faced lies while at the same time expecting honesty from his children I do not envy you.

The Igbos have been out of reckoning for 40yrs and yet the country has not made any meaningful progress if people like Mr Omatseye who are said to be educated do not recognise that  the perenial Igbo bashing is diversionary then there is no hope for this country

I totally disagree a people deserve the kind of government they get we as a people have allowed all manner of ethnic,religious, and tribal sentiments to cloud our senses that is why we are so divided we all rejoice when "one of ours" gets appointed into office and roll out a red carpet reception with chieftaincy titles to boot ala Ehindero,when he returns/is relieved of his appointment,can anybody from Ehinderos clan say in all honesty that he/she feels alot safer after the tenure of their shon of the shoil?That is the crux of the matter the British left along time ago we should get our act together elect or support those that can lead us well regardless of where they come from

Obong pls dont comment on things you dont know about if you were in Nigeria you would have realised that the vast majority of casualties in clashes between these guys and the army or when they take on each other are innocent passersby,while one does not believe that anybodys life is greater or of more value than the next man`s,or that there are not salient issues to be addressed in the region, I dont believe that this is the right way to go about it,a childs safety and wellbeing should be of paramount importance moreso when that child is a foreigner what ever happened to our humanity?but in all of this I think a well set trap is being hatched for the N/D and the fallout could be disastrous very disastrous for us all
