Few days back, petroleum marketers in Nigeria, including the NNPCL were said to have increased their petrol prices nationwide following a surge in crude oil prices as a result of the Israeli- Iranian war.

However, a CNN Business report published on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 confirms that oil prices are indeed coming down much more than before the faceoff that lasted for 12 days between Israel and Iran. The report indicated that the global benchmark of oil which is the Brent crude fell by 6.1% to $67.14/barrel while the US benchmark which is the West Texas Intermediate crude dropped to $64.37/barrel.

If our marketers, including NNPCL and the man with a golden heart, Dangote, were quick at increasing prices and possibly praying for further escalation of hostilities between the two Middle East world powers, how much longer should Nigeriand now wait to see the reversal of the prices of petroleum products since God did not answer the marketers' prayers to benefit from a conflict that has got no impact on their operations and supplies at the time they went on rampage to inflict more pains on the helpless, harmless and hapless citizens of our great nation, Nigeria. Thankfully, the naira, which is the nation's currency, has recorded some positive significant moves against the dollar especially and other currencies of developed nations.

Why do Nigerian businesses always want to have it all at the expense of hardworking innocent citizens? Why?

The situation is not the same here. All the current governors who still have another term to serve are offered automatic tickets in their respective states. See no reason why such should not be extended to Lagos and by extension, Ambode who should have the right of FIRST REFUSAL!!!. What is it then you expect him to learn? The Publicity Secretary of the Party, Joe Igbokwe has refuted this news item as fabricated. He maintained that the party has not and does not have any plan to suspend any of its member.

May I then appeal that we be matured in churning out propaganda and be wise. After all, all the names mentioned are still members of the party. We should apply wisdom since we would need everyone even after the primaries.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have delivered a letter dated today inviting the Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu to appear at their office by 10am. The letter was delivered after officials of the Department of State Security Services, (DSS), the Police as well as the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday morning laid siege to his APO residence in Abuja.

The anti-graft agency is inviting the deputy senate president over case of conspiracy, abuse of office and money laundering.

This is coming also after the Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s home was locked down by police officers and his convoy prevented from leaving the premises to attend to the invitation by the Inspector General of Police, Idris K. Ibrahim.

I am 100% sure this is another fake news. The Commission will send out a disclaimer to this soonest.

The letter is dated today, 24th July 2018 and is asking him to report today!!! The social media is becoming a societal menace in this country more than in other places. And to also ask that he reports and "interview" is also laughable!!! Is he the one to conduct the interview for EMPLOYMENT or what is the interview for? Channels or AIT? Not interrogation

Like other institutions with professionals, EFCC has a well laid down structure please.

Clearly, if we look at the bigger pictures, ranching will ameliorate the clashes between nomadic farmers and crop farmers. It will also contribute meaningfully to the Nigeria's economic development and growth. Let shun sentiment and give a try. Government has done it feasibility and cash flow projection.

I am aware some of these companies have standard price they buy. The last unverified information I have on pricing was 100k/tonne

We have about 15 tonnes ready. I don't have an idea of the price per tonne though someone hinted it is about 100k (I can't verify that unfortunately). We will be bringing it from Akure in Ondo State.

How could he not have known that the application was granted? Where was the meeting for his emergence as the Chairman of the party held?
