PoliticsRe: Tribunal: Wada May Return As Kogi Governor by obge: 1:43pm On Apr 05, 2016
That will be the best thing to happen to kogi state. We in the state have realized our foolishness of castigating a God fearing man like Wada. A governor that borrowed money from bank just to make up salary. Instead of us to realise that there is no money, we were fighting him for backlog of things like leave bonus. A governor that made sure he gave pensioners the arrears of their pension. Since he left, pensioners do not know the meaning of pension again. Nobody even calls their name.

Your mum had a stroke. That's a major event, she needed admission and she was admitted. However, you're not happy with the surrounding of the hospital. There are always other options/ hospitals with beautiful aesthetics which you could have taken your mum to. If you live in Lagos, you can try Reddinton, Roding, St Nicholas. They have quite nice rooms there. However, spending two weeks in a hospital after a stroke is not too long a stay, and at the rate of 25K per week is just dandy.
Meanwhile, your mum still needs regular follow up to monitor her bp, sugar levels and other things. People that have had a stroke before are at a higher risk of having another. The risk factor that caused the stroke in the first instance is probably still present.
DONT GO TO REDDINGTON. IT IS JUST A BIG BUILDING. THE PLACE IS A SCAM! THE DOCTORS USE EVRY MEANS TO EXTORT MONEY FROM THEIR PATIENTS. EVERYBMEANS INCLUDING SCARE MONGERING. THEY MADE SOMEBODY SCARED THST THEY HSD DIABETES WHEN INFACT THE PERSON HAD NOTHING. JUST TO COLLECT BIG MONEY

Aribisala is not a PDP man. He actually wrote a similar article blasting Johnathan over selective prosecution two years ago. He is one of the few men of conscience we still have around. I am an avid reader of his blog. As to sagay and oby intolerance of divergent opinion, that is the hallmark of buhari administration. Sagay should tell us what plans they have to plug the loopholes that allowed the past stealing and still allows the stealing that is currently going on under buharis nose. The first thing I expected was that buhari will either abolish security vote or he will at least ensure that they are accounted for but he made it clear he was not going to do so in his all Jazeera interview.

– Kogi governor is seeking donation from the public for
the $8million transparent car
– The Kogi Government will be the first African

accountability in governance
Is the governor serious about buying this $8million car
to fight corruption?
Following the mind-boggling revelations coming out of
the ongoing civil service audit and the uncompromising
determination by the administration of Governor Yahaya
Bello to rid the state of corruption, the Kogi State
government has announced the creation of a fund to
purchase the world’s first transparent and anti-
corruption car for His Excellency’s convoy.
According to a press release signed by the chief press
secretary to the Kogi governor, Kingsley Fanwo, the
government is doing this to promote its mantra of
transparency and to offer all Kogites the opportunity to
contribute to kicking corruption out of the state.
“Governor Bello has always said that he would never touch
a single kobo of State funds for personal use,” the
statement read.
The Kogi transparent car worth $8million
“ To show how serious he is with this stance, he has
decided to convert his car to a transparent and bulletproof
one that will always show him to the people wherever he
goes. This, we believe will make him more accessible and
position Kogi State as the most supportive of President
Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption fight.
“This automobile will cost about eight million dollars ($8,
000, 000), including shipping and delivery. We are hopeful
that the car can be delivered in 4 months and to that end,
we are soliciting for donations from the good people of Kogi
State to make this happen. We hope to be the first African
nation to own such a magnificent machine.”

2. Guaranty Trust Bank – 0150230037
The ‘Transparent Car‘ was launched last October

Duuring PDP's 16 year rule, was Nigeria ruled under APC manifesto or PDP manifesto?

Was Nigeria ruled based on APC policies and programs?

Was Nigeria ruled under APC economic and social policies?

Were OBJ, YARADUA and GEJ ministers were appointed by APC president that never existed?

Were heads of the law enforcement and anti corruption agencies appointed by the APC or PMB?

Was Dasuki appointed by the PAC or PMB?

Was the Nigerian Navy handed over to Tompolo by the APC or PMB?

Was looted and drained NIMASSA handed over to looters by PMB or GEJ?

Was billions handed over to looters for spiritual prayers by PMB or GEJ?

Who approved arms funds Dasuki shared with PDP looters? PMB or GEJ?

Who made billions of dollars from from high oil priced for 5 years but looted everything with nothing to show and even still borrowed to pay salaries? PDP or APC?

Who looked the other way while the NNPC looted and did dirt with our money?

I can go on and on till next year, but why bother....

1. Now under APC, APC programs, APC policies, APC anti corruption policies, we don't have looters running around looting and stealing, FG accounts are unitary and not thousands all over the place making room for looting and stealing.

2. Today, we found out that N7 billion was recovered from GEJ's looters with many more billions to follow

3. TSA account is at N3 trillion and overflowing with money, money that was nowhere to be found under GEJ and PDP.

4. Our foreign reserve is no longer bleading, it's actually growing ..

5. Our ECA is getting replenished the first time since june last year

6. No more sending armored vans to the CBN to loot our funds in the middle of the night

7. No more BH taking over or planting their terrorists flags all over the place

8. Our galant men and women in uniform are no longer running from BH because of low moral and poor or no weapons to fight with because GEJ and his looters stole and shared their money

9. Our agencies are making and remitting huge and record amount of funds into the Federal account...

We are doing all the wonderful things above with the so called APC or former PDP members you listed

The question now is, why are we achieving and gaining with the same APC and former PDP members under this APC government?

Shouldn't it eve the looting and stealing be worse and in overdrive today?

You see how silly, ignorant, thoughtless and unintelligent your primary school thinking and logic is?

Fool yourself and your mentally warped and corrupt minds all you can, but you can not fool us or re write your odious and corrupt history or even insult our collective intelligence with your absurdities...
SO GOING BY YOUR LOGIC IF GEJ WERE TO CONVERT TO APC TODAY ALL HIS SINS WILL BE WASHED AWAY AND HE WILL BE QUALIFIED TO LEAD NIGERIA AGAIN! #GEJCONVERTTOAPC!!!

tuale4u:
devaluation will only make import easy for importers. d current system will promote local production in d long run. All d people asking for official devaluation is to make import of luxury and import of products we want to make locally cheaper. This will kill local production. We are currently importing luxury and other non essential product at 320 naira to a dollar. If we devalue to say 250 and free forex, we start importing them at 250 naira to a dollar. This will kill d motivation 4 local production.

we must bear dis initial difficulties to achieve local production.

i support PMB rigidity on this. Any attempt tp go flexible we will return to where we have been and Nigeria wont progress.
My friend all the current forex regime has done is create abnormal profits for the very few importers who have access to fx at official rate. They import at 199 and sell at 320. You might be basing your argument on the wrong assumption that official forex is allocated mainly to importers of raw materials unfortunately the reverse is the case most of d official fx is allocated to invisible non productive transactions like school fees, pta and repatriation of capital! Up till now there is no real action from govt to encourage manufacturing! Insecurity is rife, multiple taxation is common place, rule of law has gone to the dogs, land prices are exorbitant, lending rate has gone over the roof! Same with the wage rate! So please explain how buhari is encouraging local production!
PoliticsRe: The Economist-How To Make A Hard Currency Crisis Worse By Buhari by obge: 8:08am On Mar 25, 2016
IT IS NOT BUHARI'S REFUSAL TO DEVALUE THAT IS HURTING THE ECONOMY IT IS HIS REFUSAL TO ENCOURAGE DIVERSIFICATION. All buhari has done so far is pay lip service to diversification! No real policy to encourage local manufacturing Since he came on board. His budget allocated more funds to lai Mohammed than agriculture! Yet he tells us he wants to diversify to agriculture. one of his first actions when he came on board was to lift the ban of rice importation via land borders. A policy that was put in place to discourage smuggling and encourage local production of rice. Even though the policy was recently reversed, the harm has already been done.no serious investor will invest his money in rice production now when he knows that all it takes for the govt to reverse itself again is a 'change of weather'! As to the forex restrictions - buhari has just superintended the biggest scam of the century - and he knows it.that is why beyond lip service, he has done nothing to investigate the looting that is taking place in the way preferential forex is being allocated. Here are a few reasons why I reached this conclusion- buhari tells us he does not give forex to toothpick importers but he still gives official forex to companies like emborg to import margarine and cheese. Pls are margarine and cheese necessities or are they raw materials? Secondly, buhari tells us that he will not give official forex for school fees yet school fees still dominates the weekly forex utilization publications done by banks in the papers! Thirdly, buhari tells us that he is trying to attract foreign investors yet he has made it easy for the investors that are already in Nigeria to repatriate their capital and offload their investments at official rate! The huge exodus of investors out of Nigeria was caused by buhari's pronouncements and the govt 's knee jerk forex policy! Anybody can pick up the newspapers and go through the forex utilization publications by banks and you will see that invisible transactions like school fees, repatriation of capital, pta, bta dominate them.yet buhari is shouting no devaluation while refusing to diversify! Anybody that knows a bit about the forex trade will know that selling pta and bta by cash are the easiest way to divert official forex because they can use fake documents for returns and the money cannot be traced! IT IS VEY DISHEARTENING THAT BUHARI HAS DEMONSTRATED OBVIOUS INCOMPETENCE IN HANDLING THE ECONOMY. EVEN ON THE ANTI CORRUPTION FRONT- APART FROM ENTERTAINING US WITH SPURIOUS ARRESTS, HE HAS DONE NOTHING TO PLUG THE LOOPHOLES THAT ALLOWED THE STEALING TAKE PLACE IN THE FIRST PLACE! IN OTHER WORDS THE STEALING CONTINUES PEOPLE ARE JUST MORE CAREFUL TO COVER THEIR TRACKS! Sadly, if a buhari ( the only mai gaskiya of Nigeria) cannot do it then Nigeria is truly doomed!

#KogiGovTribunal: Relocating Tribunal To Abuja Is A Grand Ploy by APC To Manipulate Judgement – Ojonugwa Adamu

What started as a rumour became reality yesterday when news reports confirmed
that the Kogi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Lokoja has been
relocated to Abuja for further sittings.

The Tribunal will now operate from the Court of Appeal complex, Area 11, Garki –
Abuja.

According to reports, the sudden decision to relocate the Tribunal was based on the
directive of the President of the Appeal Court, Justice Zainab Bulkashua for security
reasons. Though they failed to explain the ‘security reasons’, we suspect that the All
Progressives Congress (APC) is manipulating this decision for nefarious reasons.

Same way the rumour on relocation became a reality, we as patriotic stakeholders,
must raise our voices now that rumours are rife that some of the ruling party
stalwarts are part of a plot to influence the election petition tribunals by relocating to
Abuja to reach a verdict in favour of APC.

The APC is afraid of her shadows. They have made repeated constitutional errors in
the Kogi Governorship election saga and are desperate to cover up their electoral
frauds and shenanigans. From invalid nomination of running mate to Late Prince
Audu to invalid replacement of governorship candidate, APC in Kogi enmeshed in
controversies resulting from undemocratic actions.

So far, the Tribunal has granted petitioners leave to inspect the ballot papers and
result sheets used in the elections. A bigger burden is now on the Tribunal to review
the cases before her and strive not to bring the judiciary into ridicule by delivering a
landmark judgement that will deepen democracy in Nigeria.

We as a people are not comfortable with the relocation as we see it as a ploy to
arm-twist the honourable Justices and manipulate judgement in favour of the APC.

The ‘security reasons’ on which the relocation is premised upon is mild compared
the ‘security reasons’ that will emanate from a possible manipulated judgement on
our growing democracy.

We demand further explanation to this curious relocation and re-assurances that the
honourable Justices will be fair in their hearings and judgement.

– Adamu Ojonugwa writes from Lokoja.

I was really down when I received my last salary alert...N14,000 for a level 9? for what? And this man said that's our salary, no areas, no percentage, no communications. Just alert! And for everybody's mind, Kogi is paying minimum wage.. OMG!

Wada Performs Groundbreaking For a Contractor Financed Ganaja Flyover Bridge

The Kogi State governor, Capt. Idris Wada, Thursday, flagged off the graded separation Interchange (flyover) project at the popular Ganaja junction in Lokoja metropolis.

The Governor said the project is a CONTRACTOR FINANCED project. The contractor TEC ENGINEERIG has sourced the funds required from China and has given the state a long repayment period.
The project is estimated to cost 4.6b and is expected to be completed in 18 months.

"This is not a project where we pay mobilization or advance payment. They are going to start the work. They have the equipments, the technical manpower. It's contractor financed. So it is a window of opportunity we cannot afford to miss. This project belongs to Kogi State, it doesn’t belong to me", Wada said.

Capt. Wada however noted that the construction of the fly-over bridge will no doubt give room for free flow of traffic and also improve the socio-economic activities of the people.

In his remark, the state commissioner of Works, Arc. Godwin Onamah, said the process for procurement of the project began about a year ago and it was testament of the novel method of governance that the capt Wada administration brought to the state.

When completed, the flyover will substantially reduce the daily gridlock which is experienced by commuters and motorists at the Ganaja junction, Lokongoma and Phase II Housing Estate.

Among those who were on ground with the governor for the groundbreaking ceremony were council chairmen, commissioners, members of the state legislature and other politicians.

Among those who were on ground with the governor for the groundbreaking ceremony were council chairmen, commissioners, members of the state legislature and other politicians.

PoliticsOngoing Flyover Bridge In Lokoja Is Contractor Financed. by obge(op): 11:47am On Jan 20, 2016
Contrary to falsehood being peddled around social media, the ongoing flyover project in lokoja is a CONTRACTOR FINANCED project.

In his remark, the state commissioner of Works, Arc. Godwin Onamah, said the process for procurement of the project began about a year ago and it was testament of the novel method of governance that the capt Wada administration brought to the state.

It will be recalled that the Wada administration has placed private public partnership on the front burner since inception. It passed the public private partnership law in 2013 and has since then gone on to negotiate over 42 ppp arrangements that are at various stages of completion. Top of these projects is the 11 storey kogi house project in abuja which when completed will shore up the revenue generating project of kogi state.
