PoliticsRe: Tension In Onitsha Over Ejection Of Yoruba, Hausa Traders.reprisal? by Obiagu1(m): 1:39am On Jan 22, 2012
There are thousands of Igbo traders on that same bridgehead too.

So maybe rephrase the title to "Tension In Onitsha Over Ejection Of Igbo, Yoruba, and Hausa Traders"
PoliticsRe: Ugonna Alison-madueke Says Internet Photos Mischievous by Obiagu1(m): 1:10am On Jan 22, 2012
So if I post pictures I took in a limousine, you'll accuse me of being a relation of one of those oil thieves?

For your information, one of my relations is a former air-force officer and he is super rich but never served in any government. It's called CONNECTION, dummy!
PoliticsRe: Ugonna Alison-madueke Says Internet Photos Mischievous by Obiagu1(m): 1:05am On Jan 22, 2012
I really don't know how silly some Nigerians could get.

So it means that an Engineer could not afford a limousine ride or the son of Rear Admiral Alison Madueke, former governor of Anambra State, could not either?

One thing I also noticed with these Ibo dudes is that once you are not Yoruba or Hausa, they just conclude that you are Ibo. Soon they will say Ibos are 80% of Nigeria. Arrant rubbish.
Hahaha, tell an Hausa man you're not Yoruba and ask him who he thinks you are. cool
PoliticsRe: Over 3million Igbos Stranded In Kano-Ohanaeze by Obiagu1(m): 12:27am On Jan 22, 2012
^^^

To cut the story short, it's almost impossible for all the Igbos in the North to relocate even if Nigeria divides.
Some of them can't stay in any other place than the North, same with some Northerners in the East that have decided never to leave the East.
PoliticsRe: Over 3million Igbos Stranded In Kano-Ohanaeze by Obiagu1(m): 12:07am On Jan 22, 2012
For those doubting the number, though the figure might not be correct but this is a food for thought.
About 20 - 30 buses leave the East per night to the North and a bus takes like 40 persengers.
Some do come back especially those going on holidays. Now do the math for a year travel and get an approximation. Your guess is as good as mine.

bayooooooo:
Whereas they were united against Yoruba domination, creation of the Mid-West (later called Bendel) failed to eliminate marginalisation and inequity. The first government of the Mid-West under Premier Dennis Osadabey, a Mid-West Igbo, had more Igbo ministers out of the twelve ministers and about the same number of permanent secretaries. Thus overnight, the minority tribes of the Mid-West had passed from Yoruba domination to Igbo domination until the first coup and the civil war liberated them. Or so they thought.
Another revisionist.
How many Igbos are there?

Again Obiagu, I hope someone can get it. As in, the ethnic vote not region. I once saw it . . .

Okay, here is another article:

A whole lot of politics happened then, chiefly influenced by "outsiders". But please, do you research. . . .
You're just arguing blindly. I have the result with me here.
This is a typical example of someone, the writer of that article, who probably opposed the Midwest, revising history claiming the Itsekiri opposed it as if he was talking for the whole people.

It's like someone posting the 2003 election result and you're arguing.

Anyway, this is a day of mourning the death of our service men and women and civilians killed by Boko Haram.
PoliticsRe: Kano Under Attack: Multiple Bomb Blasts & Gunfights by Obiagu1(m): 5:11am On Jan 21, 2012
jason123:
Please, don't be ignorant. You believe beaf because of some chart. I showed you an actual article from an Itsekiri website and you still don't believe.
I wish I could find where the exact chart was, as in the website I saw the chart, I wouldn't hesitate to post it but Obiaju read the article I posted and do some research.
You're seeing the result of a referendum and you're talking about a website. Furnish me with a different midwest referendum result if Beaf's own is not correct. The result is what it is and you're seeing it right there.
PoliticsRe: Kano Under Attack: Multiple Bomb Blasts & Gunfights by Obiagu1(m): 4:59am On Jan 21, 2012
jason123:
I am just here to correct a lie.

The Itsekiris opposed the creation of the Mid-west region so the I don't know where 99% was gotten from since the population of warri was this:

Also, about the vote pattern. I once saw it but this is the closest I could find for now:

Secondly, PEOPLE PLEASE do a bit of research before you get carried away by lies and propaganda.

Lastly, the creation of the Mid-west was not because of oppression as people want us to believe, it was because the Oba of Benin was not used to the whole idea Ogboni confraternity unlike the Oba of the Yorubas.
It was more of a political thing since you cannot have two kings in one palace! So, to prevent friction between the Benins and the Yorubas, the Mid-west had to be created.

This is apart from the obvious external influence to reduce the political and economic power of the West by the other "two".
Beaf's chart is correct. Itsekiris voted under Warri and they did not oppose the creation of Midwestern State.

So called Boko can blow up Police headquarted in Abuja wetin be Kano?  tongue

You are right though in saying "They are invisible (You can nab one or ten of them but anyone could be Boko Haram)"

However GEJ knows whats going on. There I disagree with you.
Abuja is a mere creation but Kano is the heart and soul of Northern Nigeria with history behind it.

GEJ does not know what is going on believe me, he is as confused as every citizen concerning boko haram.
He is not safe too.
PoliticsRe: Kano Under Attack: Multiple Bomb Blasts & Gunfights by Obiagu1(m): 3:41am On Jan 21, 2012
Na wa oo!

Kano of all places huh

If Kano is destabilized, then the North is gone, gone with the wind.

Now this brings me back to my earlier post

One thing many people have to realise is that Boko Haram scourge is a very hopeless situation.

They CANNOT be stopped because:
They are invisible (You can nab one or ten of them but anyone could be Boko Haram)
Nigeria border is too massive and too porous
We don't have that kind of money to adopt Israeli measures whose border is very small

So what we are left with is nothing, believe it or not that's why I can't criticise GEJ.

Where my anger lies is his failure to ask difficult questions and stop being pro-One Nigeria. What do Boko Haram want? If people in their region accept their demand, give it to them or call a conference many have been asking for.

No, the 113 Yorubas that were killed are not a concern to them, probably they were 113 rats! So no shaking.
what a silly thread. are they held hostage?
besides, there isn't a tangible number of yorubas up there as there are igbos.
Tell that to the dogs. I don't know about Kano because of Sabon Gari but Katsina, Kaduna, Bauchi, Azare etc I've been to, damn Yoruba could be more.
Igbos seem more visible because they have their shops but Yoruba are in markets, squalors, and living side by side with the Hausa, walahi they are more.

They where moved because it is impossible to seperate people that are trying to flee and tell them we can't move you cause you are Yoruba. The earlier you spend this energy in mobilising at least one or two influencial or rich folks in yoruba land that can help your people the better for you,  stop this foolishness.
If it were someone like me that have been on Nairaland, walahi, I'll screen everyone before anyone boards that bus.
Pathetic people, they'll never appreciate the Igbo rather they'll be backstabbing them.

.What are yorubas doing about the thousands of yorubas stranded in the north, igbos have launched a rescue mission which is increasing by the day, even though some yorubas are also benefitting from it but why can't the yorubas help their people rather than chasing after shadows, it baffles me,  is life not worth anything in yorubaland?
A Yoruba life is worth nothing. A people that gloat over the dead of innocent people, I wonder if they even bury their own people; maybe they leave them to be eating by dogs.

How do you except such people to even acknowledge that Yorubas are dying in the North?
