Note: it's a bit long... I could have summarized but I want those contributing to get a crystal clear picture of the situation, so that they can give better and specific advice.

The major problem here is that she mixes up things to be done in the kitchen with things done only in the toilet.

I have been married to my wife for over a year now (no kids yet) and there are certain unhygienic habits she has been displaying, since we started living together. I have been seeking ways to help her improve on it, but a calm correction from me always leads to a bitter argument between us. (She claims I complain too much whenever I point it out)

For example, she always clears her throat early in the morning and spits in the kitchen sink. (despite the fact that we have 2 toilets with wash hand basins; one in the room and also a guest toilet, with a wash-hand basin which is basically 3 steps from the kitchen). Then she goes to the bathroom, gets her toothbrush and comes back to the kitchen to brush her teeth, while doing several things with toothpaste and saliva drooling from her mouth all through.

The other day, she prepared breakfast (spaghetti) for both of us with the drooling toothpaste mouth and i refused to eat from it. I didn't complain to her either, until she asked why I didn't take my portion of the spaghetti from the pot, later that evening. I mentioned to her that, as always I find it disgusting to eat spaghetti, seasoned with toothpaste drool and saliva. The response I got from her was a hiss and then she said that, next time I should inform her if I am not going to eat the food she cooked so that she would not cook for me."

I let that slide but I felt she missed the point. The next day was her birthday and I decided to prepare breakfast for her.
While I was in the kitchen cooking, she came in with the same drooling toothpaste mouth to take a kitchen Scissors in order to cut something on her pants, even though we have another scissors in the room for such purposes. In the process of trying to pick the scissors, her hands which were covered with toothpaste drool had to cross the pot which I was cooking with. I mentioned to her that I was not comfortable with that and she just hissed as usual, still picked the Scissors and left the kitchen while angrily saying that I am just a complainer. I lost it at this point and proceeded to give her a lecture in anger about basic hygiene and why I can not keep quiet over these things because we live in a shared space and how her actions have a direct effect on me. It ended in a shouting match till she kept quiet, without accepting she was wrong.

This is the pattern almost everything takes when I try to correct her. The worst part is that I would still have to be the one to apologize for shouting at her because if I don't, I might be subjected to a week long silent treatment which I dread.

There are other more unhygienic things that are done by her, which I might not be able to post here due to the fact that I am not completely anonymous and she is still my wife but I hope this information is enough for someone to understand my frustration and profer a solution.

First, don't be angry at your woman. Hide it by all means.
Second, worship her and treat her like a queen
Third, explain things clearly to her

When she sees your working hard to make her happy, she'll improve. We men are losers when a woman is involved.

I have only been to his office at Ajao once, d first time I gave dem job to clear and it was d secretary and accountant I met and only once. But they are all people of integrity. The clearing agent here, I no dey even use my details as consignee, na him name and info I dey use as consignee direct from abroad on d airway bill lading. Till today, one goods never miss before. So d issue is not about whether meeting before or not. The issue is about integrity, and how well d buyer does his due diligence to ensure that he is dealing with a honest person. But sometimes for certain transactions, it pays to make physical contact. Like me now, I will advise d customer to come over and do cash and carry. See what u buying and do transfer, simple. If u can't come, send your dispatch to come, see, pay and pick up for you. Simple. Everybody is safe and everyone is happy. Not d one someone will say I should do pay on delivery to lure me to somewhere he will break my neck and steal d goods. There's a time someone I knew said his friend that wanted to sell his apple MacBook laptop, d buyers that came were armed robbers. He drove to meet them. When he got there. They enter his car, he gave them laptop to check, from there, they bring out gun , dey cum rob am of d laptop, collect him watch and other valuables and d cash on him. They tell him if he try anything funny dey will shoot him dead. Na so Dem rob am escape. So it goes both ways. A seller too must be careful too, some so-called buyers are thieves and scammers too. Some will do fake transfer. if u don't believe me, ask any market seller and let them share their experiences of people trying to scam or swindle them. Some sellers don't do pay on delivery again cuz of bad experience of scam buyers. So a genuine buyer and seller must be sharp to avoid the evil people out there.

I do business with people I never met but that depends on the background power, I order Jumia and trade gift cards too, that’s with people I never met but I still maintain my position. Not so long I tried buy iPhone 7 Plus here, dude said I should make transfer and he’ll do delivery through logistic company and blah blah, I proposed he come with the phone and I’ll pay everything it’ll cost and little extra even, he said no and continued convincing me to transfer cash to him. It could be real it could be scam but it’s not worth it

My own story is somehow similar to yours, she will always disturb me with marriage stories, how her friends are successfully married bla bla, as a hustling guy I no send her, our problem started when i adviced her not to bow to the pressure of my mates are getting married, my mates now have kids and she was just 24 then. She broke up with me around November 2017 with the reason that I'm still a hustling guy, I'm from Ebonyi State while she is from Anambra State and she can't marry far from home. She's back to Anambra single to stupor seeking my face... Make we date and probably I fit marry her but that one no go work out..
