Religion can be anything and there are countless of it all over the world. Most are just wrong vices either to lead people to God or deliberately to mislead them for selfish gains but I want you to know one thing that a direct relationship with God is not religion and this is what true Christianity is all about. The only way to God is Jesus and so Christianity without the guidance of the Holy Spirit is reduced to religion but true Christianity under the influence of the Holy Spirit is not religion but the a direct relationship with God. Jesus is the only mediator and bridge between God and man. So focus on Jesus and not on religion nor denominations and watch the dramatic way how you will be lead to all truth.

The internet is not supreme because anyone both good and evil can just come on and deposit any rubbish false information but the Bible was written by credible people with good personality of trust and humility.

When it comes to this Bible story, there are only two kinds of believers: those who have never heard of it, and those who are embarrassed by it.

Here's the story.

The Israelites began to complain about the lack of food and water.
And the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. Numbers 21:4-5
So God sent fiery serpents to bite the people.
And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people... Numbers 21:6a
And many of the people died.
... and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Numbers 21:6b
Then the people apologized to Moses and God for complaining, and they asked Moses to do something to get rid of God's nasty fiery serpents.
Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. Numbers 21:7
God told Moses what to do. Make a fiery serpent out of brass (they had lots of that lying around) and put it on a pole. Then when a bitten person looks at it, he or she won't die. (Only God could come up with a plan like that!)
And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. Numbers 21:8
So Moses made a brass snake and put it on a pole. And it worked just like God said it would.
And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. Numbers 21:8

Well, I guess there are some believers that like this story, since it is highlighted in the ;DBible. I bet that's because it has snakes in it. God loves snakes.

Now that's a lot more entertaining than a damned holy war massacre, isn't it?

Within the human body alone, there are thousands of beliefs that are used to explain phenomenons.

For example no part of science explains why the brain goes to sleep everyday.
It is only believed it goes to sleep for certain reasons.
No part of science explains why the developing heart of a fetus decides to start beating.

If God sees through time and exists beyond time, he saw your sickness or malady before it ever occurred or took root. Yet he said and did nothing to prevent it, which would have been the more efficient and effective course of action.

If God sees your body afflicted with disease or injury and withholds his hand of divine healing until the proper petitions are offered up, he is essentially blackmailing you with pain, more interested in receiving accolades than demonstrating mercy and miracles.

If God's "plan" for your recovery involves no direct healing miracle, but instead requires hugely expensive ambulance rides, surgical procedures, hospital stays and medications (often plunging whole families into financial crisis), he is purposefully allowing your physical burden to feed a financial one. (Tell me again why a cherished child of the Almighty would ever need to worry about a deductible.)

If God is using human hands as specific, chosen tools for your healing, why do so many of those hands belong to other (or no) faiths? And why does the physician/caregiver scenario work exactly the same for those outside your faith?

Finally, if you are prepared to give God the credit for improvements in your condition, are you also prepared to give God the blame when the disease worsens, when the infection intensifies, when the cancer spreads, when the organs fail, and when the scenario doesn't have a happy ending?
