when u say empty of oil ,did u check underneath if the oil leaked to the floor. It happened to me....tell ur mech to change the seals with original seals and also observe the buttom plate too.when I changed my seals the mech used fake seals and when I got home the car was still leaking oil before he confessed and bought original seals

the oil leaks on the ground, I bought the seals myself and he said they are genuine. don't know why my pix are not uploading.

My fellow Honda users, I greet una. Jejely I was using my Civic o with a knocking sound from the engine. A mechanic heard it and said it's the head stock that is gone. he said if he change it, the noise will be gone so I asked him to change it for me. he changed it the noise reduced but not gone but the terrible one now is a serious leak of the engine oil. he said I should change the bottom plate and top seals which I've done o. this morning I discovered my engine is empty of oil, I can't take the risk of even starting the car. please I need your wise counsel of what to do.

I thought you switched your tyres to Rim 15 and it worked for you that was my reason for asking you about your current tyre size so that I can go for it.

I have three civic on uber.. I was advice to change the rims and tires from 14 to 15 .. It will give it better ground clearance and 15 size tires are cheap compare to 14..

sir am currently on 185/65 R15. please what exactly are your tyres specification.

yea, it can even last two weeks depending on where and volume of water collected. so sorry for your predicament.

Uncle relax your mind and stop spending money, there is nothing wrong with your car from experience, all it need is for it to dry. the washerman has mistakenly allowed water into where it shouldn't.

Nice thread... Am currently having challenges with my Toyota camry 2005. I awlays refill the water reservoir everyday. I mean the coolant reservoir. The mechanic said I should change the radiator to double cell which I have done but the problem still persist.. I have even changed water pump still the same problem.. I don't know what else to do.. The car does not over heat just that am afraid it will over heat if I stop putting water in that reservoir. Please I need ideas on how to solve this... I'm in awka

yeah it happened to my Civic of resent. After checking for leakage and found non, we flushed the radiator yet no improvement. had to change the top gasket and the problem ended.

Hello everyone, pls how much does this top gasket cost?

My Mechanic changed the top gasket of my Civic today. The radiator was no longer producing bubbles. I drove the car for quite some distance and discovered the engine was not as smooth as it used to be. He said the old top gasket got burnt that after some time this new one will set and the engine will return to normal.

My mechanic has schedule the top gasket of my Civic to be changed tomorrow morning so as to resolve the radiator coolant shortage.
He made mention of doubling the gasket. I asked him why and he said it's because of our temperate region that one gasket can't hold the heat, pls how ideal is that?

Mission accomplished, now they will select those of their own who will handle the election tribunal cases.
