SportsUpdate On Ahmed Musa's Wedding by Objektive(op): 4:52am On Jul 02, 2017
The past week has been all fanfare for the people of Idum Mbube in Ogoja LGA of Cross River State. The preparations reached a peak with the arrival of the groom and his visit to over 50 families related to the bride. The D day was really dramatic, It started with a novelty match that morning involving Ahmed and some pros with the village boys after which he made a handsome donation to the village club. Members of the Armed forces and road safety were among the over 500 cars in the convoy.
The hausa community in Ogoja was also well represented.

More details after the cut grin grin

Life is so dramatic…….sometimes the best way to respond to critics is to allow them walk in your shoes for a day….Before the elections, APC and her supporters had ALOT to say about EVERYTHING and its interesting to see how a year after victory, they have been unable to do anything.
1.Fashola stated that any serious government would solve power issues in 6months and nature with its sense of humour gave him the ministry’s portfolio, its been over 6 months and well the power issues haven’t been solved
2. Amaechi and Fashola led the governors to take the FG under GEJ to court to challenge the Excess Crude Account so they could force them to share the money, they have won and suddenly complain so much about how the last government didn’t save. I laugh in Karma.
3. Subsidy was removed in 2012 and the current APC founding fathers and supporters and “cashtivists” took to the streets, Buhari was on record saying there was nothing like subsidy. You can imagine my surprise at Buhari’s led FG complaining last year that subsidy payments were to0 high…..Huh? what subsidy?
4. GEJ was corrupt but Nigeria’s economy was recording 7% growth, I mean we were the “N” in the MINT countries- the ones to watch closely after the BRIC countries. We rebased and became the biggest economy in Africa, NOI managed to keep inflation down throughout……. APC and her supporters said all these achievements were only on paper. Now we are in recession, why cant they also achieve these same feat “only on paper” as well? (“Oil prices are low” blah blah and 20 other excuses….Go check what the prices were during OBJ’s time)
5. APC and her supporters said GEJ bought no weapons to fight Boko Haram, GEJ and Dasuki stole everything, It is instructive to know that APC announced a “technical defeat” over Boko Haram in December without purchasing any weapons. Its either one of 2 things: GEJ actually bought weapons or APC quietly stopped funding BH, aim had been acheived…… Meanwhile Hadiza Bala and Maryam Uwais have been handsomely rewarded, madam Oby Ezeks…how far?
6. You all call GEJ corrupt today because he signed the FOI Act, NGOs could make FOI requests to ministries and get data, data they could interprete depending on how much Bourdillon was willing to pay…..SLS said 20 Billion was missing, its funny how a year after, the APC hasnt found the missing money. Maybe it was another phantom accusation that they knew the masses would buy, afterall Nigerians are an emotional bunch. 1+1 =2 0r 5 depending on who’s asking. BudgIT has sent several FOI requests recently that have been ignored by this administration. Opacity is back, The corruption you dont know about can’t kill you right?….
7. Remember when APC said GEJ was sheilding Stella Oduah, Deizani and Abba Moro? I wonder what we can say about Buratai, Amaechi, Dambazzau, Kyari Abba et al
8.APC says be Patient with Buhari, do you expect him to do Magic, its only been a year and a few months……I say Bullsh*t, Remember when Y’all when to occupy in January 2012? how many months into GEJ’s adminsitration was it? People wrote off GEJ after the subsidy protests……what happened to Patience then….?
9. Lets not talk about the illegal hires or should we….?
10. lets not talk abot the much derided GEJ’s locomotive trains that have been launched with fanfare. or should we….?
I could go on with more examples but im sure you’ll all be bored…..
Anyway, APC stated on the eve of the elections that it would form a parallel government should they fail to win the elections, its quite clear that APC was indeed more prepared to be opposition than to actually take up the responsibility of governance. APC stated unequivocally that Nigeria was in a mess and would disintergrate if GEJ won. You don’t make such statements if you haven’t accessed the situation so its really BS turning around to say something different after winning, Mr Party Chairman, its either your party is full of decietful liars or you peple are simply unprepared for governance.
MY THEORY- APC was only a special purpose vehicle with one aim- REMOVE GEJ. With each passing day, it becomes clearer that APC had no plans no ideology, it was only a bunch of self centred politicians waiting for thier turn to have a go at the National Cake. It was never about the Masses, it was never about service, It was never about Love for country. It was never accountability.

You are talking absolute nonsense and your logic is upside down. Why do you guys leave the truth and start saying illogical things simply because of PDP/APC politics?

If the intelligence agencies under Jonathan had done their work competently, a lady with serious link to terrorists will not be seen laughing and shaking hands with the president. Jonathan's incompetence and insincerity with the way he handled the boko haram issue discredited his government so, stop blaming someone else.

No serious government will play politics with national security the way Jonathan did. The Buhari government will not shy away from questioning anybody that has a question to answer as regards boko haram terrorists. The least you all can do is to keep shut if you don't have anything reasonable to say.

In GEJ era she had a presidential hand shake even when she was championing the Bring back our future mothers nonsense. Jointly they discredited the past government while being cheered by the then opposition party. Today they are wanted for prosecution by the same party who are now in power. What a man sow, that he must reap.

No pity for them. Not at all.

After all said and done, the truth still remains that the oil in the Niger delta is the blood of the Nigerian economy. Nigeria has been ripping where they have not sown and it's time to stop. I am not from the debt regions but then I see a lot of reason in their case. They deserve a better life. Moreover I think its time the FG find another way to revamp grassroot development. Let's just give up on oil for now. I pray people like Fayose will stop talking trash daily and find a way to move ekiti forward without waiting for federal oil money allocation cus soon there will be no money to allocate.

It will be a miracle if buhari achieves the following by 2019.
1,Make a dollar equal to N202
2,Restore power supply to 5,000MW
3,Fuel back to N86.50
4,Rice back to N8,000/bag
5,Inflation down to single digit
6,Make our economy the 3rd fastest developing in the world(currently less than 15th in africa)
7,Restore about 3million jobs lost in the last 1year

In other words,it will be a miracle for buhari to get things back to how Gej handed it over to him

Nigerians are no longer asking that Buhari makes a dollar equal to a naira as he promised,
Nigerians are no longer asking that he stabilizes the price of the crude oil in the international market (I still laugh)
Nigerians are no longer asking that he bring fuel to N40/litre.
Nigerians are no longer asking for free meal daily for school children.
Nigerians are no longer asking that he pays N5000 monthly allowance to unemployed graduates(newsflash:they've increased by 3million)
Nigerians now know that he couldn't wipe out bokoharam in 3months.
Nigerians now know that he couldn't find the chibok girls in 6weeks(after wining, he looked their parents in the face and told them that he doesn't know where their kids are).
Nigerians are now asking that he returned everything to how they were handed to him before the next election and quietly get away from there by 2019[/b]

But you know that the circumstances under which the present administration is working is far worse than when PDP was in power. There is a global economic melt down due to the slump in crude oil prices. So don't blame Buhari. Blame the poor economy.

PLEASE NAME THE RELIABLE ONES THAT WE CAN ACCESS ONLINE..................

Stylz69:
It is NOT COMPULSORY for you to purchase your insurance from the vehicle licencing office. Fact is the insurance they sell is worthless and the only use is for you to complete your papers. Secondly, they rely on the ignorance of drivers to sell these fake insurance knowing drivers rarely make claims especially on 3rd party policies. When I renew my vehicle particulars, I only pay for the vehicle license. I go online and buy my 3rd party insurance from reputable insurance companies and print off my policy and attach. It is still the same 5000 naira for the 3rd party and I least I have the peace of mind knowing my 3rd party cover is genuine. Dominique, the 5000 does not go to the government; it goes to the crooks selling the worthless policies. How can you claim on a fake policy? Is there even any number to call in the event of an accident or any outlined process for making a claim?

Benite:
ABUJA—Police authorities in Abuja yesterday night said Ese Oruru, freed Monday, will now be officially handed over to her mother, Mrs. Oruru, today.
14 years old Ese Rita Oruru was brought to Police headquarters at Louis Edet House at about 12. 55pm amid tight police protection.
Her dad, Mr Charles Oruru, however disclosed that he has concluded plans to seek spiritual assistance from Lagos cleric, Pastor T.B. Joshua, founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
Ese would have been handed over to her mother yesterday, but for inability of the woman to arrive Abuja by 8.00p.m. last night as she travelled from Yenagoa, Bayelsa State by road.
She was immediately ushered into the office of the Force Public Relations Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Olabisi Kolawole, for what sources said was a debriefing exercise.
Also arrested and brought to Abuja by a Special Police team from Zone 1 headquarters, Kano, led by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, was the abductor of Ese, Yunusa, alias Yellow.
Both the abductor and the abductee were escorted by three representatives of the Emir of Kano to brief the police authorities about the roles the Emir and Kano Emirate Council played in getting Ese released.
At exactly 1 25pm, the Force Public Relations Officer was seen leading the freed Ese Oruru to the office of the Inspector General of Police for further briefing.
Attempts by newsmen to talk with Ese were rebuffed as the FPRO assured that as soon as Ese’s mother, who was being expected from Bayelsa arrived, the Police will brief the media on the matter by 4 pm.
Recall that Ese was abducted by one Yinusa, from her mother’s shop in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State on August 12, 2015, and whisked away to Kano State without the consent of her parents
She was rescued Monday night, following a directive by the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to the Commissioner of Police, Kano State, Mohammed Katsina, to liaise with the state’s Emirate Council and relevant persons in the state.

CACAWA:
that is not how jurisprudence works.

You can't punish a Trial Judge because you do not agree with his opinion.

If proof of bribery is substantiated, so be it. But to say because he felt party A was right, and you at the supreme court feel part B was right, so the juniour judge must be punished...what impetus.

The only reason the Supreme court is arm twisted into making this sort of decision is because of the mistake it made in the Rivers case.

In the Rivers case, they held that the use of Card reader was not a constitutional provision and so cannot be tendered as evidence as to whether or not an election truly held or didn't.

That opinion was enough to make all riggers win their case.

This opinion is against what the Tribunals and appeal Courts held, and although one may argue that truly the card reader was not mentioned in the electoral act or constitution, it is understandable that the act grants INEC the right to organise it's affairs. Hence, any method it deems fit for Identifying a registered voter should become Law and Binding.

When I heard that Fmr Gov. Peter Odili's wife is a Justice of the Supreme Court...I just LAUGHED

hoseamatoh:
A former military governor of Kaduna State and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Jafaru Isa, has refunded N100million of the N170 million he allegedly received from embattled ex-NSA, Sambo Dasuki.

Mr. Isa, a retired brigadier-general, was arrested on Wednesday by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, at his Asokoro residence in Abuja.

Mr. Isa, a political associate of President Muhammadu Buhari, was grilled for several hours in connection with about N170 million he received from Mr. Dasuki.

A reliable source familiar with the matter told PREMIUM TIMES the APC chieftain and member of the 19-man Buhari Transition Committee was released after refunding N100million to the anti-graft commission.
The source said Mr. Isa pledged to return the remaining N70million soon.

“We let him go after returning the sum of N100million. We are expecting him to return the rest soon,” the source said.
According to him, some of the suspected recipients of the slush funds who claimed they had no idea the money sent to them was taken from the public till were handed opportunities to return what they got from the former NSA but refused.

“We offered them the chance of returning the money honorably but they keep deploying tactics to avoid prosecution, while also going away with the loot,” he said.

A close associate of Mr. Isa told PREMIUM TIMES that Mr. Dasuki lodged over N100 million into Mr. Isa’s account in instalments to buy a house, located on Mohammed Mohammed Avenue, Kano, for the former NSA.

PREMIUM TIMES gathered that deposits were in turn made by Mr. Isa to the owner of the house, Ali Tukur, in two instalments.
However, the house purchase deal collapsed as a former Minister of Finance, Yarima Ngama, reportedly offered to pay the sum of N150 million cash when Mr. Dasuki reneged on the payment agreement.

Those familiar with their relationship say Messrs. Isa and Dasuki have been close friends since their cadet days at the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) and had spent four years together while on military training in the United States.

The Peoples Democratic Party had on Sunday protested the release of Mr. Isa barely eight hours after his arrest while its own spokesperson, Olisa Metuh, remained detained.

The PDP, in a statement signed by its National Legal Adviser, Victor Kwon, said there could be no clearer indication that the APC-led administration was on a manhunt against PDP leaders, and that it had a personal grudge against Mr. Metuh, ostensibly for his stance as opposition spokesperson, particularly his recent exchange with the government and the APC over their dictatorial activities.

“The release of Jafaru Isa, a known associate of the President and chieftain of the APC eight hours after his arrest while our spokesman remains in detention even when the two are being investigated over the same allegation clearly shows that the President Buhari-led APC government is not fighting corruption but using the much hyped crusade as a cover to persecute PDP leaders and decimate the opposition, a project the EFCC has clearly yielded itself as a willing tool,” the statement said.
