There were lots of favoured candidates that could be chosen within the APC but they opted for someone with little or no stains because they knew they had to impress Nigerians. GEJ would have won for himself some political points and done his global image some good if he tactically agreed to drop Obanikoro and replace him with someone else from PDP. If GEJ really felt he owed Koro a favour, there are many other ways Koro would have been compensated whilst GEJ still appears to the world as the 'good guy.'
