That is a good news but is there anybody who have nailed such bird with 90cm in the south west region? By doing this we can understand the behaviour of signal down link in our regions.I guess there are some signal split over from Nilesat in the nothern region.
Petfun's team thumbs up but you suppose to have informed the house about this discovery. From your post its almost or over a year now.May be am too far away from the forum.

They ban them because the dont edit most if their programmes.like syria, egypt and libya civil war
we watch most unedited live programmes and i think the station is gaining more ground after aljazeera than cnn.Back in the days we used to have access to cnn but now its not like we used to.

swordswifter: On the other hand too, if the transmit power for the MENA beam has been increased and the MBC channels are now available on 1m dishes in the south(Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Benin etc). Then that still is good news.

Any which way, i need an accurate confirmation of either of the above two cases with reference to the working beam(MENA or MAGHREB) so as to know whether we have to all get back to the drawing board or wait for something good to happen on Badr 5.

I still doubt if mbc SD is receivable on 90cm dish .Guys may be mixing up things here MBC HD and jsc1,2,9 and 10 is possible with 90cm on AB7 NWA beam but MBC SD and jsc1,2,3,4 and 4 i doubt if that is receivable with such dish.I am using 3m and if its receivable on 90cm my mbc sd should've shifted from 66% to 98% but i still have the same signal strength there.May be those guys receiving it are lucky than I am.
Let people with 2.4m try and update the house about this new discovery using 90cm to track off footprint signal.

petfun4u: If you say it is not possible. For me, it has been made possible. When I first nailed it, I did not believe it. I always do research on my dish almost everyday. I am watching those channels with my own dish. My dish are the pictures I posted earlier on. May be you have to look at the dish very well. I have two of that dish, 1 60cm and also 1 DSTV dish. Assuming there is a way of posting the direct video, I shall record everything from the dish down to the two 8-diseqc swith I have to my my sitting room to the 2 decoders I have and the connections.

Nothing is impossible in satellite world,making the impossible possible is the reason why we are all here.Your location please.And dont forget we have two mbcs one on 7e and another at 7w so which one are you quoting.i only know of mbc hd and not mbc SD.Anyway Good luck.This is what we want.More of it .

pls, are the MBCs on the 7°w fta? kindly list them and can it be tracked with 60cm?

mbc on 90cm on nilesat 7w?That is not possible with such dish .Although it all depend on your geographical location.if you are closer to mena regions you may be lucky enough with 90cm.

petfun,because the satellite covers west Africa you can "link" it to eutelsat 16 and Amos 17.But the satellite is on 26 and not 28.but your possibility of picking it on 28 is sure.

staddos: I have blind rescan my SRT 4669 XII receiver its still 12303 and 12265 which is locked on green.I have scanned on Dreambox DM 800 HD pvr and still no change.Please with that high signal quality 12303 - 78% and 12246- 80% I thought other TP's would automatically turn green.As regards my location its Tema in Ghana

satellite doesnt work like that at times,when you have good signal it doesnt mean all tps will pop up but you may manage to pull in few tps especially when dealing with fringe reception of which badr is one.Remember those two tps were meant for west Africa couple of years back.I am afraid you may need bigger dish to pull in more tps on that satellite.but remember this is ssatellite technology where nothing is impossible .Good luck

staddos: Gurus in the house I need your advice. After a long struggle I ve tracked Badr but only two (2) TP pop up green 12303H27500 and 12265H27500.After tweaking my set up I managed to get the signal quality on my SRT 4669 XII to 12265 80% and 12303 78% it is still only the two (2) TP's popping up green. Am I doing something wrong? What can I do to make more TP turn green?Pls GURUS advice me. My setup is a motorised 2.4m Eurostar pan dish and stargold fuji lnb and location is Tema -Ghana

why not rescan your receiver i have full signal on those two tps you posted.It should be receivable with 90cm dish.years back those transponders were meant for canal french package .The 12284 is a slot for mbc HD Central asia beam.but its receivable here.

use 3m and track with mbc HD tp.I have a blockage to my east but i still manage to pull it in ,just 5 tps of which 2 tps pop up mbc and fox.It doesnt worth the stress because we have mbc HD and fox movies on AB7 and Badr 26e .so going down to yahsat is waste of energy but its fun .

faremig,no technical job needed .its on test transmission i guess.

I was able to pull down Yahsat @ 52e today.

It means your dish is not perfectly aligned to the arc.

Does that mean we can make 5 different dishes of various sizes from that last diagram?Also in fig3 i think we would need something like a protractor for us to get the best of that angle.

For those who doesnt have di electric in there c band lnb ,you can improvise by cutting any glass of your choice into the slot inside the lnb .It will work as good as di electric that come with your lnb.I have tested this and its working fine.

@Obynelly, I already tracked it but d copper wire I used to tighten d LNB makes it loose position after not too heavy rainfalls.I'm just tired of climbing latter everytime.

no pain no gain,you can work more on your material,so that it can withstand all weather .you can improve by doing more.Dont give up till you get enough

its imaginary.the distance between it shouldnt be much,you can work that out by moving your lnb to locate 28 after you have nailed 36.then you can measure the distance apart .Nobody can give you accurate conversion without first track those satellites.

remove 28 from 36 what you get is where you place your lnb.

freshp: its not like we dont want ...it just . that your questions have been answered severally that its just pointless to recap it here again.
check reference thread,4-in-1 and motorisation threads... you will find your answers there!

Also you will need to start with single lnb if you are new in the sat world ,gradually you will learn as you grow.

To track all the satellites you mentioned shouldnt be a big deal if you are in the coverage area .Nevertheless you may start by first tracking dstv at 36e once you have the signal pop up ,you need to move your dish to 62 and 64 respectively but i think c band will be your best bet to do that .I recommend at least 1.8m dish for you in other to be able to track all the satellites listed for both c and ku band.Goodluck.You can have 64,62, 57, 5,(4.8e) and 2.8e
