hon1977: Oromia and mbc take their live matches from optma sports just like many other public broadcasters, i don't knw about rdv but i think as long as canal sat+ still broadcast epl RDV will be up and running as they take their matches from them. What happens with these rights as far as i knw broadcasters can enter into agreements with those who have exclusive rights like PTV SPORTS take their epl matches from espn australia, so for all fta hobbists all hope is not lost for free epl matches just wait for the season to kick off.

The days of the SABC(s) and the true eTV for South Africa were the days. They were just 3 channels but you never needed anything else cause you were always entertained.

My question these broadcasters is, why are all the best TV stations in Africa not coming together so they can broadcast over the continent? All people would have had to do is pay their yearly TV licenses so that each country keeps the revenue they obtain from their citizenry? Some people are not smart at all.

JUST IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES IF THIS WAS TO HAPPEN.

kibukila: SABC transmit on the Southern Africa beam on Intelsat 20 not the Africa beam as other channels that's is why can be received in Southern Africa only.But what is so special with these channels can anyone explain i can notice most gurus are eager to get them and I have never seen them.

Boadu: Gurus in the house, something bothers me. So please help me out. My question is this: Intelsat 20 @ 68.5E covers the whole Sub-sahara Africa. SABC transmit via this satellite(Intelsat 20 @ 68.5E). But SABC is receivable only in South Africa. It beats my imagination how this is so. Experts, educate me on this. I have been pondering over this matter for far too long.

i tracked nilesat 7dg west wit 1mtr dish wit 10992 v 27500 i got 61percent signal but ,mbc doesnt appear i only got jsc and some test chanels
plz help me out am in nigeria

My question is does it mean jsc would now broadcast la liga and Italian games to West Africa? Knowing +1 and +2 are exclusive la liga n serie a stations.

feasy1: After going through motorizing big dish thread https://www.nairaland.com/442760/motorising-big-dishes-1.8meters-above/3, I need no angel to tell me motorizing my 3m fiber dish is the way to go. It make sense to be able to view Abu Dhabi Sports, Al Jazeera, MBCs and all other channels available.

feasy1: Hello Sat gurus,
My 3m fiber dish (would have gone for 4m but for space constraint) was installed yesterday on Nilesat. The installer mentioned he'll get Abu Dhabi sport but unfortunately ADSport TPs cant be tracked
As it is now, I can only get MBCs(no HD)and Aljazeera sports.This is no value for money considering I have Abu Dhabi HD décoder and 6 month subscription left on Aljazeera and Abu Dhabi card.

My questions are
1. Is there à good chance I can nail Badr 26E with 3m dish in Lagos?
2. Are Abu Dhabi sport TPs activé on Badr 26E
3. I have read on the thread That MBC HDs TPs are active on Badr. Please confirm.
4. Will Yahsat do any better for the MBC HDs?

Below are the channels i hope to be able to view
1. AD Sport HD 3-8, Sky News
2. Al Jazeera Sport +1 to +10, HD1,HD2
3.MBC 2,4,Max,Action (All HD)
4. CNN
5. BBC.

3.Nilesat 101/102 is your best bet for mbc1234 max and action.You get some mbcHD on AB7 too.
