hon1977: Oromia and mbc take their live matches from optma sports just like many other public broadcasters, i don't knw about rdv but i think as long as canal sat+ still broadcast epl RDV will be up and running as they take their matches from them. What happens with these rights as far as i knw broadcasters can enter into agreements with those who have exclusive rights like PTV SPORTS take their epl matches from espn australia, so for all fta hobbists all hope is not lost for free epl matches just wait for the season to kick off.RDV takes most of her matches from Abudhabi sport and not canal sport. |
@ Obnelly, thanks very much. I already have 1.8m dish for Irib. Could you please explain the dish size and frequency to pull down Turksat in West Africa? Regards [/quote 3m and above should be fine |
To watch those football(EPL) for free you have to keep sending mails to ptv may be they will be glad to increase their foot print across Africa. If IRIB can still transmit EPL that will be alternative to RDV come next season. Laliga ,you need to try turksat ,they do show madrid and barcelona matches. And some champions league. In conclusion you need bigger dish and keep hunting for football feeds at all time , its a hard way but you will be glad in the end. |
@Obnelly, I don't even know what kind of suites run their business models for them. Why milk a few whiles you can make it affordable and accessible for everyone whiles at the same time making your profit. I know guys from dstv will be reading this but we don't care. Personally i won't even subscribe for anything from them since they have cheated and milked Africans for far too long. If someone or a company is going to take advantage of this idea, i will only support it if it's by an African for Africa. Since 1998 or something till now they(DSTV) are still milking Africans. Why?[/quote She is in business because of the football rights, she can fight EPL,Laliga ,FA etc with her last drop of blood.Nobody is ready to cross her way.She is ready to defend her territory And I think she has the back up of the government ,that is why she can go this far.Common dish 90cm the import it while we have people that can do those things here, even the decoders is being imported ,now how do they contribute to our economy. Its really a big shame setting up dish factory can create jobs talk less of receiver manufacturing plant. Do you know if the government support you and I with the little knowledge we do share here we can lunch satellite into the orbit and do downlink and uplink stuff for tv and even internet I keep wondering what the hell is happening to my dear NIGCOMSAT in the orbit.May be one Alien has taken it to pluto and uses it to do some stuff related to satellite tv . ![]() |

swordswifter: @ObnellyOlenyi and Swordswifter i tire for dem ooooo. They just allow the foreigners to take away our money. |
kibukila: SABC transmit on the Southern Africa beam on Intelsat 20 not the Africa beam as other channels that's is why can be received in Southern Africa only. But what is so special with these channels can anyone explain i can notice most gurus are eager to get them and I have never seen them.SABC used to be one of the best satellite tv stations in Africa. If you ever watched e-tv from south Africa ,you will love SABC the more. cheers |
Boadu: Gurus in the house, something bothers me. So please help me out. My question is this: Intelsat 20 @ 68.5E covers the whole Sub-sahara Africa. SABC transmit via this satellite(Intelsat 20 @ 68.5E). But SABC is receivable only in South Africa. It beats my imagination how this is so. Experts, educate me on this. I have been pondering over this matter for far too long.. You are confusing yourself,Its true that sabc is transmitting via that satellite but never on the same beam with our receivable beam here.check this link http://flysat.com/is20-beam.php SABC beam doesnt cover Africa. Its south Africa beam only. Its not like what we have for the rest of Africa/Europe. Take your time and read that foot print /beam map. Shalom |
Mallamovye: pls gurus in the house any hope of pre season match on man utd todayWhy not try aljazeera sport ?Its the best you can hook up to when it comes to pre-season matches. |
welcome home Odilibe |
1.It could be your dish size is smaller than the recommended dish size. 2.It could be there is wimax interference in your location meaning the mobile network in your area is transmitting via the same frequency so this will cause interference . |
why not contact a professional to help you out and i doubt if you will have good signal in that axis. Why sky Europe? You have host of other satellite available in your region. Good luck. |

Manually input the tp and scan. |
Akinige: tenkz for prompt responce sir,Akinige, sorry i havent tried 90cm on that bird but base on 3m you should have good signal on jsc to have mbc pop up on 1m dish.May be you will need to work more on your signal strength and i hope you are using mpeg4/HD receiver. |
kwame pls give me the latitude and longitude of your location with that i should be able to give you correct skew for your location. The skew i gave you is for my location.Sorry about that. |
I'm most grateful sir for your detail explanation. So what easiest frequency can I use, to track this JSC Channels @ 7W on NWA Beam? Also where should the LNB mouth face(clock)? I'm in Ghana. Please answer me.
use 11662 v 27500 with this you should have good signal better than 10993 v 27500.once you have the signal just scan your receiver for more tps. skewing of lnb shouldnt be headache too,the mouth of your lnb where you attach your wire should be between eight o clock and nine o clock .Your full signal lies within that slot. Note my explanation is correct when your dish is facing east ,once you do that just move your dish to west and track. But if you wanna track everything from west your skewing should be between three o clock and five o clock. Good luck |
Pls Mr Obnelly, are these JSC & aljazera channels also on Arabsat5C@20E? I mean where Irib channels are.
yes ,only jsc 1 with aljazeera news no premium jsc channel like +1-10 on 20e check this link. http://flysat.com/arabsat5c.php |
Obiagelli: That's interesting, I thought dstv holds exclusive rights to both leagues expecially la ligaNot in MENA regions.we are receiving jsc sport here as off foot print bird. With the introduction of NWA Beam via 90cm dish i smell a dead rat here with our dstv claiming they own Africa excluding North Africa.Al jazeera is eyeing a big business in west africa region i suppose ,that is why NWA is there.Let us wait and see.Time shall tell. |
umarssor ,suleman,kd and others thanks,You are most welcome. |
Obiagelli: I see jsc +1,+2,+9,+10 on nwa on nilesat, obiagelli,.jsc will show all the matches you listed. They are trying see if they can pull in english premiership into their bouquet come 2014 |
feasy1: After going through motorizing big dish thread https://www.nairaland.com/442760/motorising-big-dishes-1.8meters-above/3, I need no angel to tell me motorizing my 3m fiber dish is the way to go. It make sense to be able to view Abu Dhabi Sports, Al Jazeera, MBCs and all other channels available. If you have little knowledge about tracking with small dish up to 1.8m motorising big dish shouldnt be headache.first make sure your pole is plume @ 90 degrees .GO to satellite that is close to your latitude here in nigeria the satellites that are close to us are rascom, sirus and eutelsat w3a.among the three satellites sirus 4.8e is easy to track. start by declining your angle adjuster at the neck of your pole mount, while doing that move your dish up and down till you have signal pop up on your screen.Make sure you have full signal. go to the next satellite that is next i.e eutelsat w3a.get good signal there too and move to hotbird ,from this bird move to eutelsat 16e to badr and astra 28 .it means you are almost done with eastern satellite move up to your west and track western satellite from sirus4.8e move to rascom to atlantic bird 3 to nilsat to ab7 then to nss7 you may move further to hispasat and intelsat 31.5 depending on what you are looking for. While doing all these you must know how to skew your lnb to gain maximum signal strength .also you must understand how the neck of your dish behave to signal while tighten it.Do everything gradually ,dont rush at the end you will enjoy it all. Good luck |
Kd10,Hotbird is the mother of all satellites,It contains both fta and scramble channel.Depending on what you like to view from sport to movies to documentry to news .Some channels are biss key enabled.Nilesat too is not bad too it contains more fta options than hotbird but its never a mother of satellite to me .On Nilesat you get more free to air than hotbird .movies and news for free but you have to pay to watch sport. Its cheaper than what we are watching here.Back to Hotbird I havent tried with 2m before but back in the days 2.4m -3m is recommended for this bird.use 10992 v27500 i have signal up to 75% on my tlink receiver. |
with replacement of hotbird 3A with 3D you have more channel dancing on your tv screen.kindly rescan your rx on hotbird. |
Its an update brother,if you have new update kindly place it for people to read .To me its a new news i found it yesterday and i think it worth sharing. MP and SILVER has the right already but they are looking for who will rebroadcast the signal between OSN,JSC AND ABU SPORT. Since MP AND SILVER is in charge of aljazeera channel called beIN sport the chances of JSC carrying the day is still high among the satellite tv provider in MENA region. You may read for update from their website. http://www.mpsilva.com/barclays-premier-league-to-be-distributed-by-mp-silva-in-the-philippines-and-taiwan-until-2016/ |
Ibaku: LAUNCH OF HOTBIRD 13D HAS COME WITH GOOD TIDINGS, RESCAN FOR CHANNELS LIKE BBC WORLD, EURO NEWS, JSC SPORTS HD1, JSC SPORTS HD 2, JSC SPORTS NEWS HD, BeIN 1, BeIN SPORTS 2 N CO.Ibaku ,thanks for that useful information,Hotbird 3A is now replace with hotbird 3D which have a better signal coverage .I have more than a thousand channel on hotbird and still counting. |
free flow of air in the pen reduces heat stress in the pen ,also it reduces rate of ammonia build up in the pen.It dry out moisture content present in litters /droppings thereby reducing the rate at which odour emanate from the pen. Also i will build a bio reactor to convert all the farm waste into useful products.
|
The side wall will reduce your daily production because it will reduce free flow of air in the pen. There may likely be ammonia build up in the pen too. |

Sorry friends ,I have been busy with a project .Thank God am almost done with it.As I have said earlier,I promise to share my little experience with you. On the 28th of february 2013 1071 Day Old Chicks arrived into my farm.I lost 2 chicks on transit because of the distance up to two hours journey from Hatchery to my farm. All other chicks were doing just fine and my mortality was very low up to the 10th weeks(3.83%). At the 11th week i lost 34 chicks in that week 11 due to an outbreak of fowl cholera. cause of the fowl cholera is due to my next neighbour who channel his drainage system into my pen because a fence demarcated the two of us and i didnt notice on time ,after the administration of fowl pox vaccine which has been due for that week i observed that most chicks were not so active and on that very day i lost four chicks .immediately i took the carcass to the laboratory for test.It was confirmed fowl cholera infection and after making necessary precaution my farm mortality decline to zero. In total I have 7.00% mortality.and livealiability of 93%. The total expensive per bird is #632.12 , Total bags of feed up to 18th weeks =8,450 kg Total vacccine administered =#50,680 Total cost of feed both chick starter and grower=#626,320 Total liters of water consumed up to 18th week 22,400liters By the special grace of God I am caging 996 out of 1071 that i booked for on the 28th of february .I Hope I have good report and Good result. By next week i should start smiling to the bank,The storm is over. cheers |
feasy1: Hello Sat gurus, |
Pls house: I've finally bought a 1.8m dish. I want to track Irib on Arabsat20E. Pls I know the frequency as well as the biss key. But my difficulty is on how to position the ground mount dish. I mean should I be turning the dish UP & DOWN like how we track 90cm dish? 2. do I have to put the dielectric plate inside the throat of the C-Band LNB b4 tracking? 3. Can I use 3964v30000 straight forward in tracking te IRIB channels? or I should track a Ku-channel at 20E b4 inputing the Irib frequency and do the tracking of the Irib channel? 4. Where should the C-Band LNB block face? 5. After inserting the dielectric plate, should I put that plastic lid which covers the throat of the C-Band LNB? PLEASE house, help me out.
kwame, make sure you have flat surface for your ground mount dish, place your dish there.put di-electric plate inside your lnb ,track using aljazeera news tp.once you have good signal try and skew your lnb for maximum signal strength then scan your receiver you should have your IRIB channel. No need to put the plastic lid and if you still wanna put it no issues its just to prevent cob webs into the throat of the lnb. Note find a means of fasting your ground mount dish to the flat surface because of heavy wind . |
