As long as i am concern since we are able to get nilesat in the north,west and some part of eastern side,i see nothing bad in it ,it means we can receive nilesat as far as 9ja is concern be it 1.8m,2.4m,3m or 4.5m it all depend on your location,and the number of channels available to you is a factor of how good you are at skewing.once the signal is there for Nilesat ,you are at the right place.,even if all you get is mbcs ,haba u don try.before we used to think etv is the best now we know there are so many better ones.Lets keep the forum alive and let the research continue,dont criticize until you have proven wrong.As long as this forum is alive what ever anybody post is authentic,until we find itsnt then we can say blablalba,ENIGMA,BADARU,TOXNIJA,JUJUKEMIST,F MARSHAL,ENITAN AND OTHERS MY RESPECT UNA BE GENERAL OOOO.I LIKE UNA CONCEPTS.

If you can get foxmovies they are as good as other movies channels,i for one i love fox movies.Remember yo cant drive two cars at the same time ,if you still cant get mbc persia, mbc2,3,4 and action are there for you ,even city 7 ,dubai one and others still dey so dont disturb you head.I guess sometimes Nilesat can make one go crazy.at times i heardly sleep even when NEPA carry waka i still on generator.But i still dey find art and showtime key oooooo.I don patch my 4653x but no keys to open art and showtime.

how locky you are gangstar 101,i cant get cnn and i never gave it a though because its never bothered me,afterall i still have bbc news and press tv with euronew.i belive we can get all those channels ,all we need is patience while fine tunning the LNB ,i mean skewing.Anybody with ART or show time key.kindly mail me.

All ,with my findings and that of Badaru ,i can assure you all that to get Nilesat here in Nigeria all you need is 2.4m and not 3-4.5m dish as earlier said by some of our researchers on this forum.I belive a time will come when with 1.8m dish we will be able to get Nilesat here in Nigeria.I urge people in the south south Nigeria to try 2.4m dish if they can get the same as we get here in Ogun,lagos and Ibadan then ,nothing to worrry about 3m dish anymore not even fibre dish but pan dish.People raise the idea of fibre because they believe pan dish cannot perform the wonder.If we can continue our researches better technologies await us.One thing I love about Nja is they learn very fast.And i think am proud being a 9jerian.Keep the spirit alive.
Badaru that software work fine but doesnt open ART when input the keys,but now my decoder is upgraded,i love that music whenever i on my decoder,before nothing like that but now i love it .
Olofofo,i suggest you still maintain your dish.if your dish is bad you wouldnt have gottin anything in the first place,now that you have some channels no worries., to me it means that dish is good .It happened to me when i first install my dish though single handedly,the signal always go off then but now ,i have mbc 24/7 and some othe lovely channels.now am watching foxmovies ,all Horizontal signal is there now ,i only loss them around 6pm and come back when its 6.30-7pm with good signal quality.I guess you maintain your old dish the choice is yours.

congrat olofofo,for those who still cant afford nilesat ,try w3a i watched liverpool vs psv (champions league)on mbc3 ,they hooked up to super sport 3.Did anybody get that yesterday?Concerning the drop in signal i experienced it but with that low signal my signal is still ok around 45% in the evening.You are likely get more channels on nilesat ,olofofo .mine is up to 300+

olofofo,you are not likely to get nilesat with that your lnb holder position just check out the way you attach that scaler to the rod.I can see there is mistake some where which i believe it will make the lnb tilt towards a particular direction than other.Just take a look at the three rods attached to the scalar.Your lnbf position is not too good enough and i wonder if your lnb is fuji.also your wiring is poor,it should be neatly packed not as loose as that in your picture.Make sure you have a flat surface for your dish,i mean the floor.first track nss7 22 degree if that is ok,go to next satellite till you get to 7 degree.or better still if you get 22 degree just face your dish and move the base,i mean the stand towards right.where you have height adjustment for the dish measure like say a span,then try to move your dish height gradually from that location,you are likely get nilesat signal there.Dont use scaler that come with that dish use scaler from your fuji lnb.if you can do all these i promise you will get some channels if not all.and one more thing on your rods ,one end has one hole and the other two holes,attach the rod with two hole  unto the dish pan while the one with one hole should go into the scaler,fix the bolt from inside of the scaler while your rod is on the scaler and use nut to fasten it altogether,remember nut will be outside .do all settings with carefulness.bang the signal will come .

my best signal is 62% while worst signal is 50%.On mbcs i enjoyed it 24/7 even with 48% i still have good signal quality.You can track and fine tune more than i did but i just left mine like that becasue it doesnt give me any problem at all.Hope that answer your question.

olofofo,if you have nilesat your dish will collect more water than nss7 becasue of the angle ,remember nilesat faces sky while nss7 come down a little bit.I wish am there with you during tracking,but omo hastling too much.Wish you Good luck but am still promising you can get it .Be courageous and determined to get it ,it might take time but the end result is what matters ,once you can track and locate the satellite ,all other things na papparazzi.

I can now receive virtually all the frequencies perfectly ok.My down time is 5-7pm ,then i experience poor signal on some transponders.
Olofofo,if you can work on that your dish posted i think you should be able to get Nilesat because its the same dish am using but mine is ground mounted.

yes i get all mbcs ,showcinema and the signal is ok 50-66% no breaking except when rainfall wrestle with my dish,then signal drop.I am using strong receiver if signal is still 48% my pictures still okay but below i will experience No or bad signal.I cant get CNN what is their transponder?I only get press tv but signal come up in the evening till early hour in the morning.if the specification is put into consideration Nothing is impossible one can mount ground pan dish on pole,all we need is precision settings ,I mean setting every construction into standard.Mounting your ground mount dish on a concrete surface go a long way,its advisable to provide a concrete flat surface for your dish and make sure you hook it to prevent wind from distoying or carrying your dish away from where you mount it.

To all,if 11958 H 27500 is to ART and 11996 H 27500 is to showsport and 11977 v 27500 is to show cinema then am on the right channels for nilesat.I was able to work on that yesterday but the problem is the signal,it came up very late around 9pm and now its still 2am am still working on my computer,oh boy this Nilesat no go kill me.I will all need your supports as to what to do to make the signal stay at least during the day.remember am using fuji LNB.Oh sorry my signal strenght is 48-50% on both ART,SHOWPORT AND SHOW CINEMA 66%.all scrambled .

I may likely post the graph of my signal strenght(0-70%) against time(hrs).so that you can read it.some instllers are using this forum to make money while we are being used as guinea pigs.what they do is just read what we posted without making no contributions,this isnt good enough.I know so many people who will tell you i dont need to stress myself the information is there on nairaland.if anybody hasnt contribute nothing by one way or the other this thread wouldnt have grown to this .Pls lets cultivate this idea of sharing ,this forum is all about making research and posting for the benefit of everybody.if enitan,twinstaiye,badaru,gangsta and this guy from uk i cant remember is ID keep the whole information to themselves i dont think i should be able to boast of installing Nilesat.better still may be this forum should find a way of shedding off people who only ready without contribution,How?you can only assess forum based on your level of posting.what do you all think.

gangstar101,i think its normal,may be because of the distance apart from far east to 9ja.I too experience such drop in signal quality in fact sometime you rate your signal level as very poor.so never mind if you have your signal level dropped it will come up by itself.Like my own jsc signal drop around 3-7pm when its 7.45pm the signal pump up itself and the signal rating is excellent.For those who want to buy equipment ,why dont you make your market survey,installers will only eat your hard earn money for the sake of nilesat.i guess you havent blind scan for more channels may be that is why you havent received what i used to because blink scanning is my hubbby whenever i hold my remote ,i do it everyday.one day i even get euronew,orbit from US,the signal came and the second day signal quality dropped back to zero but i dey manage the orbit small small.

olofofo,am not in lagos but i think you can give it a trial.if you have a good lnbf with perfect skewing ,you may likely get both vertical and horizontal signal.Mine come up in the evening around 6pm when its 7pm all signal will stay till around noon when the signal will experience drop in quality.Nile sat user try 10796 v 27500 you will love the music like mtv base for free.
Hight to me has nothing to do with dish settings,you can place your dish on the floor so far its properly aligned and skewed you have no problem tracking whatever you want even this DSTV dish we can mount it on the floor so far nothing is blocking the angle it will pick the signal.
Due to the angle of nilesat 7 degree our dish is bound to hold some amount of water during rainfall and this can affect the picture quality our best bet is to find a means of removing the water from the dish ,if you do ,it will increase the signal strenght to where it suppose to be.I need information on how to input keys on receiver ,ART AND SHOWTIME,kindly help me out .

to all beware of strong srt 4663x decoder,fake dey there oooo.I bought one today for jsc on nilesat but to my supprise it refused to open jsc1-3 signal pls be warned.Always check any decoder very well before you make bargain o.This is the 3 times i will go to alaba this week.srt 4653x is still the best ,the one i bought work very fine but the picture isnt sharp to my taste so i returened it ,Trust alaba boys instead of given me my money the want to improvise for me by telling me 4663x is good ,when i connected it and check the software them tell me say he no dey oooooo.I am going back to fight them there as a gentlement.so keep your eyes open.W3A BOYS CHECK OUR RTS1 ON WEEKENDS LIKELY SHOW SOME BALL NEGLECTED BY RDV.

to all nairalanders,Nilesat chapter, ,the followings are my results using 2.4m pan dish in western Nigeria.dish settings qualities :level 93% and quality 73-75%.
i received up to 300 channels but i guess the ones i adore most are as follows with signal level.In the afternoon some may drop to below 20%.so never panic in the evening they will show up.Enjoys my datas.all in percentage

What else can i say,you guys are damn too much,i met badaru online we had a nice time chatting its lovely meeting you all.Back to business,on my nilesat i had 57% signal quality,and whenever i want to view my favourite channels on nilesat i usually experienced signal cracking or breaking due to poor signal level.I took my time to correct it ,i checked my fuji lnb,lo and behold spiderman is there waiting to block any signal coming from Nilesat into my home.I cleaned it up and covered the open surface with nylon bread so as to prevent the spider from entering into the fuji lnbf.And i set my dish and fine turn i couldnt believe my eyes ,the quality rose to 75% and level 93%.Now i can watch fox movies,mbcs,mbc persia,Show cinemas,jsc,bbc,spacetoon,ART also but signal is 48%.
To all new fellas who wish to track nilesat signal always make sure you get at least 60-75% signal quality if you get less than this its not too good neither too bad ,because signal level can get dropped by 20% in the day so if you have signal quality of 75% ,in the day it may likely drop to 50-55% which is still good for you but if its below 50% i.e 49 below you will experience cracking and some signal will go as low as 20% ,never panic when sun set i mean sun going to sleep around 5pm-7.30pm your dropped signal rises to a reasonable level.
if you can track the signal around 11am-1pm with good signal level that is good for you ,it will last you almost the whole day but if tracked in the evening around 8pm-11pm you might not get the right signal quality because then the signal is there so as a begineer if you want to install and track ,if you get like 45% signal level you will be happy but in the day you will loss most of the signal,it happened to me.my first day it was 45% ,i was happy but in the morning i experienced no signal ,20%,next day i tracked it up to 56%. Day in day out up to a day i was a ble to get 66% at 10pm then fox movies came out with some nice channels but when spider did its worst it boosted my moral,NEVER SAY NEVER and then here i am today with quality of 75%,so guys dont give up ,it worth the stress,because if you get it all ,you will be glad you did ,people will see you as a crazy person because you are going up to the roof or doing some naughty things with your dish ,but when the signal came up and there is picture on your tv with audio theY will look at you as HERO.D EEP DOWN INSIDE OF YOU ,YOU KNOW YOU ARE AN HERO, up nairalanders,keep the spirit of friendship alive,I LOVE YOU ALL ,Shalom.

I guess you are using 3m dish because your signal strenght is very high,i cant get bbc world only bbc arabic,am using 2.4m.About prime focus Fuji,i have heard of it and i even have it as my LNBF.mY SIGNAL LEVEL IS 90% WHILE QUALITY LEVEL IS 66-70%.

ok sir.I havent got the ART,PHELA and SHOWTIME parameters.I hope to give you a call b4 this week runs out and one more thing ,i experience drop in signal quality during the day up to 20% but anytime from 7.30pm upward the signal shoot up and rise to 58% on aljazeera,52% on others and some have a fixed signal quality of 66% both in the day and night.SHOWTIME CINEMA 1,2,3 and4 are available but they are all scrambled,but nothing like showtime sports not even ART.Am more than willing to learn from gurus in the house.I stay in sagamu ,ogun state.

yes i get bbc arabic on my nilesat.the basement of my dish is not plumb so i need to work on it.i got signal strenght of up to59% but when rain came it reduced to 40.i guess its because i didnt place the basement of the dish stand on a flat surface .I shall give you full detail later in the day

i am using 2.4m pan dish ,reside in ogun state.I HAVE NO BBC BUT I HAVE DW FRANCE 24,MBCS,ALJAZEERA SPORTS,KUWAIT SPORT,DUBAI SPORT ,CITY 7 ,SHOWTIME TODAY,AND UP TO 100 CHANNELS WITH GOOD ENGLISH .I think i can never go for any satellite again,dstv and hitv are thieves.I have not been staying home during the day to see the signal but whenever i come back in the evenig i still watch it except when there is rainfall like today.signal drop up to 20% but now its 10.35pm am watching aljazera sport1 with signal strenght of 40%.yesterday it was 45-47%. pls is there a way to get aljazeera card?I need it for real.

Hurray !!! this is great i was able to track nilesat signal with my 2.4m dish,i resumed duty by 6.30am on sunday i was able to track the signal around 9.05pm,meaning i spent the whole sunday working on nilesat around 9pm i wanted to give up but to my suprise the signal came out of middle east desert around 5mins after nine.Imagine ,this thread if of great value to me cause i read it as if i have exams on satellite tv engineering.Today I am happy that i was able to make it to Middle east.To BADERU,ENITAN SEUN,TWINSTAIYE,AND ALL OTHERS I SAY MORE POWER TO YOUR ELBOWS.I am now a graduate of satellite engineering from university of nairaland.if you arnt got Nilesat you are really missing the real actions.I am more than willing to give support on how to track Nilesat to anyboy in this forum.Shalom

if you have elementry Geography particularly in physical geography you should be able to calculate your footprint,or alternatively visit lyngsat.com its straight forward on that website if only you know how to navigate yourself.Best of luck.
