Good morning, I want to get batteries for a 2.5kva or 1.5kva hybrid inverter. I just noticed that two 220ah batteries give a total of 440ah at 594k while four 150ah batteries gives a total of 600ah at 580k. By my local man logic, the 150ah option seems better to me cus I get about 160ah more battery capacity. Pls, those who are experts, is this my logic correct and can I go for this 150ah option?
In actual sense, the 150ah is a better option considering that battery life span will be higher.
however, there is an overhead cost in getting solar panels/means to charge them effectively.

Av u tried disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery? If this doesnt work, then likely inverter battery point is damaged and wud need repairs. Most inverters usually av a reverse polarity protection which sud av kicked in with urs.

If you are tech savvy I can remotely help you fix it.

But if e pass you, you will need to take it to the mechanic

I've gone thru the manual. No mention of "bp".

It can be fixed.

Location is benin city. It does not come up at all wen connected to battery. It only comes up wen connected to solar pv/ nepa light. Works via this too sources but does not detect battery. Everyother thing works fine. Displays/blinks "Bp" on the inverter screen. Its an ipower max 3.5kva inverter.

Dear Professionals

I need to design system for 240kw, 20kva Inverter - Out door enclosure for lithium LifePO4 battery

Which brand will you advise on batteries, Inverter and other components (I was thinking of felicity because of their presence in Nigeria incase of aftersales support and warranty.

Thanks

I think you should consult a professional to handle the project.

If we will assist, you might need to provide us with some of your design details. (I don't think you have any that's why you are probably asking)

Then we can suggest to you options available.
By the way @valto has Lifepo4 cells that can be used to design any watt hour of battery capacity you require.

Na here I know reach
Good luck with your quest

Both

The fridge is 120w while the washing machine is 240w. According to the website, the 1.5kva inverter can take a surge which is twice it's capacity for 5 seconds
Do you have the picture?

Good morning house. I want to buy a Mercury 1.5kva hybrid inverter, a single 220ah battery and two 420w solar panels.

Will this setup be OK for charging of phones and laptop, one fan and a fridge (the fridge will be on for maybe 2 hours in the daytime during float charge)?

More importantly, kindly let me know the other things I will need to buy along with the inverter like surge protector, wires, etc and I will appreciate if the amount for each of them can also be put along with it. Thanks

What's the wattage of the fridge?
Be sure that the hybrid inverter is able to provide enough surge to start the fridge

not true, as at this moment lithium is cheaper than lead acid. the average lead acid is 350k up, so how is it cheaper than lithium?
Average market price of lead battery in the market is 270k.
This is cheap for people who are just starting.

Like let me explain, there are more middle class people, trying to adopt solar...
So lead batteries are easy to use for starter

The way this thread dey take drag down lead batteries grin grin grin.

Not everyone starting up in solar can afford to buy lithium battery at the initial stage.

Take it or leave it, lead acid batteries has more economical value.
It's cheaper, if it has served you finish, it can be recycled and you get your small cash back.

Tubular is flooding Nigerian market because they are cheaper.
Mind you depending on how you use your lead battery, they can do up to 5yrs

Before you sell 1 lithium who dey sell tubular don sell 15pcs grin grin grin grin
There is a market they are aimed for.

Distinguished members of this thread I bring you good tidings.

happy Sunday first of all cool.

Last week Thursday, i installed 2200wp of PV (it was a causal job for a company at ajah so I went in alone which I have never done before for PV capacity above 350watt)at lekki mehn deep down, I have made up my mind not to be involved in that kind of installation, they wan use work finish me

During the installation when I was trying to drag up the 3rd solar panel, I lost balance which almost cost us that solar panel and my life embarassed, but thank God I prevailed wink.

Some how, my effort has been rewarding even though I didn't get well paid enough I was able to get insider information on the panel distribution.

This are for the dudes on this thread that loves tier 1 solar panels, I was doing a comparison with other brands of solar panels.

Seems it's the pricing that will distinguish them

I will update you when I get full details on their pricing for their solar panels.
cool

So I have gotten feedback from them
Their price is quite massive 180k for 550w.

Comparing it with our tier 1 in Nigeria,

1. Canadian solar 560w sells for 174k
2. Jinko solar 555w sells for 168k
3. Sunova solar 550w sells for 180k

By performance they have proven their self, even though the sales manager was try to say sunova was more superior in quality.

Like I said previously, it's the cost that will be the determinant.

Those in favour of Jinko say "I"
grin grin grin grin grin grin
I forgot to add, looking at their data sheet they all have similar data.

I actually wanted to get mercury 2.4kva hybrid inverter and two batteries but I don't have the funds for that.

So, I decided to get a 1.6kva 12v inverter and get a single battery, just for light and charging of laptop. I will get another battery when I have more money, dats when I plan to start using fridge and washing machine on it

Okay then.

It's a good plan. Everything should go smoothly then.

Good luck
