I'm honestly curious. I am a F uni student from a country in Europe with few Africans. I'm sometimes feel a bit lost about direction, and European guys who dont seem to have opinions or what is wanted from me besides good grades at uni. What beliefs and attitudes do you as Nigerian men have that you would impose on Europe if you could? If I came to Nigeria on summer break, what part would I visit to see the "true" Nigeria and would there be interest or would I feel unwelcomed? What are ideas of something useful I could do? As for the idea Nigerians will impose, "no Gabriels" how do we explain how we struggle to understand the idealogy?

If you need to see the true "Nigeria" you will need to visit the 6 geopolitical zones.
However, 3 out of these zones are meant only for the strong and willing. Because looking at you, hand fit meet you for road.

As for what should be done, try visiting museums in each of this zones, I think that's the only way you can really understand the cultural diversity of Nigeria.

Hello My people

Please I discovered that my Inverter (itel hybrid 3.6kva) no longer charges from the grid. When ever I turn on the breaker, I get error 3 and the inverter stops. From the manual, it states the error is Bus Voltage Low

This occurs only when I turn on the grid breaker while attempting to charge. Charging from the panel is working fine

Please can this be fixed or where can I take it to for repairs... Would appreciate feedback based on your experience.... Thanks

I don't know what to say about them.

But then, some clients are difficult to work with.

You can give a recommendation from experience and they will say you do it otherwise.

Cases like this as an installer, I won't be expecting you ask me questions over that particular subject.

So i have been following this tread for some time and from poplular recommendations to others , I was convinced and then I ordered and received a 3.2kwh battery from a buider on this forum. The delivery was fast, no delays. Although the set did not come with any accessories, no baterries cable etc . This was as stated by the builder. ....(only the battery box in a plastic build with a small bms screen and a button). All as advertised. So no issues there. This setup cost #550k (delivery inclusive). All i got in addition was the waybill receipt

The truth is, my friend who ordered for a 26.5v(100Ah) itel 2.5kwh battery, received theirs yesterday:
To my supprise, the itel battery Bank alone was 2.5 to 3 times heavier than mine, the setup was built in a solid steel housing case, has 3 internet communication ports, and 3 other advanced looking ports. Came with ALL the comm ports cables, also came with two 20 mm solid +/- battery cables , 3 year warrenty card, thick steel wall brackets, metallic wall screws, some addtional bolts and nuts and many more.
And all this cost #481k (including delivery fee).

Now I know why people crave the itel battery pack.

Although I have to say I over expected much for mine, but the person i bought mine from did not give me the kind of attention(as a first time customer as i would have wanted) the response sometimes was quite slow (had to literally push for any information with response coming anything it comes) no step by step on how to do much. I had to ask about value to set for bulk and float etc, Had to push and ask or most times google some stuff on my own. (I am not saying the seller did anything wrong o) but sincerly I dont think I may patronise the person in the future.I like my business partners to be approacheable irrespective of the value or amount involved in the trade......(my choice)

So, the itel on the other had virtually a full hands on manual that explains EVERYTHING you can do, clearly defined warranty card and many more quality of life stuffs you know.....

Although, I for one became a bit skeptical about the build i received (when i recall the itel heavy weight and quality) but everytime i checked the jk bms app, i showed all the cells adds up to 3.2kwh (see image). Even still, my mind still tells me I should have gone with the Itel due to its solid built, wall handing capability, solid customer and aftersales support, the quality of work and support it has.
(I thought going for "3.2kwh" was better than "2.5kwh" so i had to stop my initial itel order for the local build).

I don't think we should assume that all sachet buyers know that the inverters are rated at their peak power. As a user, if not for this forum, I believed that all inverters were rated at their continuous power.
That is why I am afraid of installers - they are used to not telling clients the truth about many things.
Users want to know things like peak power, continuous power, SOC, etc. These things help you to manage your installation well.
My two cents.

Clients are not really interested in knowing all this stuffs.

Explaining lot of technical stuffs makes the whole process look complicated, and customer don't want to know all those stuff

So i wanna ask, I have this 2kva sms inverter that i have returned to the service center about 4 times now and same issue still remains. Its over estimating the panel input, imagine 3pcs of 300w giving out 2kw on the inverter plus batery isn't charging still. Ur help/advice would be highly appreciated.

I replaced the fans already with real brushless fans and they very quiet now, I can now sleep in peace. The fans are quite pricey.

The fans just humming on high load above 2kva doesn’t make noise like normal fans, I guess it’s because of the blade design. Sounds like the motor of an electric bike when it’s on speed.

I would be ordering and replacing this with all my inverters from now on.

I usually start by asking people already living in that area if they know any safe short-let options, then I go there in person for a few days to check places before paying.

If you are a traveller you would understand that not all states has " a short let" option.

Mostly a guest house and there is likelihood you find them in cities and they are not cheap.

So for someone on a budget, what's your options to sorting accommodation?

A friend sold me his old 1.2kva luminous eco volt inverter because he’s upgrading…his batteries are dead so I only got the inverter..

I dont like this tubular batteries and one installer said I can’t use lithium battery with this 1.2kva inverter that I will have to get another inverter….

So what do you think?

Can’t I truly use this inverter with lithium battery? I plan to charge more with solar panels though and perhaps once in a while use the grid since the inverter can charge battery….true at the back of the inverter,,no selection for lithium battery….

As low as 120V.i have a 10kwh lithium battery. Is it safe to allow grid voltage of 120V to charge my battery. If not, what are the potential effects. I'll appreciate any useful response

Won't charge unless the inverter/charger accepts 120vac.


It's likely going to give error 10 output power derating depending on which inverter brand

It depends on a lot of things I think yours is an aging problem resulting in high esr (there's no explosion of the capacitor but rather a kind of burnt around the label)

Now since you said you put it back on and it still works as if nothing happened, it likely proofs that it's not a really serious problem, just checking if there are any burnt trace, decolorations on the PCB, might give you more hint of there are other problems
