Clear. Thanks boss.
The max I've ever gotten is 18amps on my current setup.
Can I add more panels to my current setup?
Yes since you have 5 you can add extra 1 to make it balanced. While you observe your output

emmaniche:

When u say limit its out. Abeg clarify.
2s2p?

If your PV generated above 60A, your cc will only give out 60A

emmaniche:

Can't provide values of the volts from the sun.

Its charging a 24v 🔋

Okay, for your current cc your I think max you can put in is 6* 300 (2s2p), anything above this, might limit its output.

This is not a professional view.
Besides you have 5panel,
So it's like 2s2p with 1 in parallel to 1 grin
Or it's not in use at all

Thanks.

The maximum PV your controller can accept is 3kw.

On your controller, how many volts does it show from the sun.

How many volts battery is it charging

2 years old batteries , gently used

Yesterday, we did a battery replacement for the inverter because the old Amaze battery required charging with electricity, I hate to charge with electricity because it’s very costly here

Battery Condition

battery back currently last 4hrs with a fan , a tall Samsun fridge and 3 bulbs loaded in the night, meaning it’s goes off in night around 2AM

This configuration was powered by 8units of 320watts panels, the engineer said we should be charging with both electricity and solar, no can’t charge with electricity because electricity is very expensive here

And so we decided to go for battery upgrade to original dry cell quanta gotten directly from Indian Impoter himself

Now the old wet amaze tabular batteries are up for sale

If I want to sell as scrap , it’s 40k each

The solar engineer himself want each for 40k but I feel it’s worth more because I’m the one using it , so I will give you these batteries if you add something, I can not sell this a scrap , beside it work seamlessly in the day time, when there is sun , but will fail in the raining season except you are charging it with electricity

1.I will be selling this batteries as scraps
You are buying scrap batteries

2. Only those who have deep knowledge of wet tabular batteries should contact me

3. You are buying these batteries as scraps

- If you buy it and get a good engineer to maintain it and it work like new, it’s your luck

- if it’s only continues shutting down when it’s raining, it’s also your luck, I will not give attention, so leave it for those know it to buy it

Novice should stay off as I do not want any drama

The above it the honest condition of the batteries

Expect advice

Use 12 panels
Use big solar charger controller to enable it charge fast

Location is Lekki
contact details on my profile

If it's available at 40k I dey game undecided

Please bosses.
I have a 60am cc.
Producing about 12 to 15smps currently.
Have 5x300 watts mix of poly and mono panels.
Plan to add 5 or 6 more 300w.
Can this be added to the cc on ground?
Thanks.

Check your current cc max input PV. (This will tell us precisely)

But if I will speak from experience, it will work, but the cc will limit your output (i.e if your PV can generate above 60A, your cc will limit it to just 60a) this is if the cc has that type of protection grin

I dont really have much idea about orientation. I have not mounted it on my roof yet. I just placed it outside for now. I want to add one more 550w to it before I put it on the roof. The wire length from the panel to my MPPT charge controller is 10yards. I am using a 6mm pure copper wire. The panel current is rated for 13A under loads. To troubleshoot if it was my wire that was the problem, I actually took both my controller and my battery close to the panel and ran the original panel wire straight from the panel to the controller and I was still getting 275, 280W max at peak sunlight. So I dont think it is my wire. It is a single 550w Jinko Panel bought directly from Foauni stores.
Here is the picture of where I placed it. There is no shading at all. Ignore those other two panels. Those were the first 300w panels I bought. Those ones too are giving me 100W max per panel. So I have been wondering what is the problem. Lets assume those 300w are fake panels, this Jinko 550w is definitely original as Foauni store does not sell fake things.

You have no problem.
The panel is trying your concern should be to increase your cc.

The 40A can only fend for 550w × 2.
That if you don't have plans to install the 300w panels

I'm still there
Gonna fix the new CC tomorrow morning

What's a busbars?
Ah.
Change the main switch it's bad.
If you can lose it, check the wiring and end that both L & N passes through the main switch.

Some Electrician will use only 1 line.

But I can tell you for free the culprit is the main switch.

Goodday, we want to install solar that can be able to carry 220-240v freezer, few lights, 2 TV, 2 fans, 2 laptops and phones. They may not be turned on/used at the same time. Can I get assistance on the cost and materials Thank u

You will easily get help if you provide the Watt of the appliance and possibly back up duration you need

Please, what actually cause the bolded effect when inverter is in use?
There is leakages in the circuit.
An easy fix is to swap your output (L to N and N to L)

Hello everyone. Please my installer just installed this solar charge controller. It is a 60A controller. But I am kind of confused with the PV current reading. Is the current meant to be zero. Please I need help.

Your inverter is "likely" a modified sine wave.

Check if a regular fan hums when working.

Plug the phone or laptop directly to the Inverter and check.

If the floor is tiled, touch battery terminals with your bare hands for electrical "shock" when powered on.

Lastly, get a tester for current on battery terminals.

Seires issue.
Like all the socket in the house still have smalls
Current even when the socket is off, and it's making devices like phone and laptop misbehave when plgged in while using.
I discovered this only happens when solar is charging, (the inverter is an hybrid) it works well if Solar breaker is off or it's night already . I know getting an external charge controller will fix the issue. But I'd like to get to the root of this issue at hand
Wait is the cc in the inverter faulty.

That fault is an electrical fault not an inverter problem.
