We will be starting with Error #bp
(I have used #the_error_code so it can be easy for you to find them when you search for it on the forum)

#bp = battery not present.
This is caused when the inverter can't recognise the battery it has 2 likely causes

1. When battery has been completely drained (some folks still ignore settings the right low battery voltage for the battery. Some will use lead LVD for lithium)

2. When their is short circuit in the inverter

Time for installation, I reached out to the installer who had first given me a quote that I had procured the main things myself.
Now he sent me a new quote with some things added which weren't in the first quote.
Please could anyone help me go over this quote if it's proper?

What do you need an elcb for?

Back from work and I am pumped up to pen down this amazing experience at work today. The most difficult 09 error i encountered so far

Prior to when I will be updating fault and fixes (I will commence in March) I will love to document This.

Few days back a 3kw hybrid inverter came in for repair, it had error "F09", as usual, we booked it in and followed all necessary procedure..

Fast forward to today, I picked up the inverter after I had a chit chat with the installer about the cause of the failure (obviously the fault was from the installer, but since inverter was under warranty he was very confident to bring it back knowing fully well that we would accept it)

I losed the inverter, did the normal check, found out some MOSFET and IGBT where Fault

Inside my head I was like this Na Moi Moi repair.

I initiated repair process thinking within 1hr it would be done.....

I replaced the high side igbt (this part is responsible for converting the high voltage DC to sine wave AC voltage via a H-bridge arrangements of the igbt)

Replace the battery side MOSFET (this is responsible for converting the battery voltage to high voltage DC which is the. Stored in the bus circuit.) for this particular inverter, it used a centre tap configuration.

I advance to checking resistor, transistor and
All the area bois within the circuit. It was all fine, then I tested the board.

It started normally no sign of failure, then it went completely off. This time around another 5 igbt gone (I had changed 4 earlier) with my MOSFET.

I knew this was not normal so I started suspecting the pwm driver(sg3525 it's response for sending PWM signal to the MOSFET and IGBT for inverting and Charging)

I replaced it and the high side IGBT where okay even after testing...., but the low side was still burning MOSFET out and gives "Error 52" bus voltage low.
A simple transistor driver replacement brought back the invert back on line .

I actually felt reluctant changing it though because it read fine on the board, but since it was not working as expected, I just replaced it and it solved the problem.


This is a quite lengthy, but yes I have fulfilled my obligation to bookmark the most difficult 09 error I have faced about 3hrs of intense brain racking and trouble shooting...

Shout out to my co Engrs whose teasing drew my attention to details I left ....

I haven't bought any panels yet but intend to buy 8 615watt jinko panels, will these be sufficient ?

I Will likely be posting how we repair and carry out troubleshooting of hybrid inverter.
Error 09, Error 52, Error 53, Error 57 etc.

Mind you I am hoping to pen down this fixs so I can get to learn more about fixing this inverters from senior men who are behind the scenes, then also to help lot of DIY/hobbyist carry out repairs too......

It's been long I updated this logbook, actually there are a lot going on behind the scenes (I have actually left Warri and am in Lagos) but my absence has not put any of my activities to halt.

Contractor has been handling our activities in warri, though blessed and emeretus have migrated to Lagos and cross River.

But it is what it is.

So recently, I picked up an after sale role with one of the solar companies in Lagos (I don't want to mention name) but I honestly must confess 9-5pm tuff die , but am in to enjoy the ride and experience that it comes with....

So if you are into repairs hybrid inverters you are all welcome to this space...

I will try to update you all from time to time.

Experienced something like this a while back on my old inverter, the idle consumption went up to 3x of the normal wattage while the inverter ran warmer than usual, took it to arena only to discover that it was the output filter capacitor that was the culprit

When one of ur support teams was asked about the best way to protect sako inverters from lightning/thunder strike since it interferes with dish signal amidst other problem if connected to an earth rod, the support responded that lightning/thunder strike is a natural phenomenon n can't be prevented. Meanwhile if you have issues with Sako inverter or battery, you can take it to festac their head office. I think their timeline is 72hrs from when booked unless Na big problem Naim be 1week.

If you use a programmable inverter it's easy, just re-adjust your configuration.

If you can't ,find the maximum voltage yuyr inverter can take, and make sure it doesn't go more than that when it charges(give tolerance oh)

But basically that is it

Am currently using a famicare hF inverter all is good

I thing hybrid inverter will be very ideal of you are a big users.

But 4s LifePO4 will work well.

From experience 4s all the way.

I have been building some experiment around it.
Very efficient compared to 3s.

The only observation for now is battery tend to go out of balance when it gets to around 10.5 (I know it's below its cutoff)

Good evening. Please, I've had my tubular battery for about 3 months now and it goes from bulk charging to float. I've never seen it do equalization. Is there a way to do this manually or will my charge controller do this when the battery needs it?

On your controller, the only thing you can Change or modify for the equalisation is the time it should take

So technically on this thread since the past 2yrs, we have actually had more complaint on lithium batteries than on lead.

Most lead complaint has always been issue around charging and tubular is taking the lead in that category, obviously poor design and consideration are the causes.

For lithium battery e choke, a lot of SNR men done pass through the needle eyes in the hands of this battery.

We recently installed a Sako 4.2kw inverter about 3 months ago, and the inverter malfunctioned two weeks ago when we tried using a 1700W air fryer (every other appliance was turned off before turning on the air fryer). The inverter was repaired at their repair center and stop working today again. Seeing similar complaints from others raises questions about the quality of their product. Do your due diligence before buying.

A 3kw might just output only 2.5kva of power...

So the whole kW might just be the PV power input of this inverters

Boss, can you link me up with any engineer that may be able to fix an Ecoflow Powerstation damaged by Lighting. Like you rightly said, most powerstations will indeed need to return to the manufacturer for repair. Ecoflow says they dont have a service center in Nigeria. They instead decided to send me a new one. So now I have a bricked shining powerstation sitting down dead at home. But I was thinking, even if I cant repair it, engineers should be able to extract out the battery inside the powerstation and repurpose it so that the battery inside does not just waste like that. What do you think

First it depends on the pattern of build i.e spot welded or copper wire(fused)

If it is spot welded,you have to dismantle to correct d error but in case of copper wire coupled one,it's easier.

It brings the code randomly and not even when charging, it can come up when the battery is even at 60% and when we restart, it becomes normal again. After some hours same thing reoccur

Pls house, any Sako major distributor in the house pls. I'm having issues with a 3KW sako inverter with random fault (3). When restarted everything seem normal until after some hours. I have observed for days and I concluded it's a factory fault from the inverter. Pls come to my rescue

03 error means battery voltage is high, which may be as a result of overcharge.
