Good evening people, In my quest of finding panels that generate 100% of their rated power, I found that mono perc panels does this well. There isn't enough data/video of topcon panels to indicate they do this too even though topcon is stated to have more efficiency than mono perc.
So, please, if you have any panel like jinko that uses topcon technology, kindly state the highest wattage you've gotten from them.

Perc is a new solar panel technology.

People believe that perc solar panels, charges at night (not totally true) but then, it has good efficiency in trapping energy even in poor climate

Set as user defined. I think option 05 in the settings menu

Then set float and buck to 56.5 I think option 27&28

Then set your low battery cutoff option 29.


Please use manual to confirm what I typed above...

All batteries including car batteries will serve you within short period of installation. Which will stand test of time is the question that no longer beg for answers.

Let me push small fear into your spine.Unless you power just tv, charging, and bulbs will this set up do 2 or 3 years or less with careful pampering before you will notice large difference in capacity. Raining season is even coming....how will you full charge it?Sulphation will kill it by then.

If you add freezer, iron, etc be rest assured your system will fail in less than a year.

Assuming you didn't know this thread before now it would have been a different issue of "had I know". But you deliberately shot your upper limb with your eyes opened .

2 tubulars is roughly 550k or more, that is more than the cost of 16 pieces of 50ah LifePO4 at 48v with more than 12yrs life span mixed with rugged usage along with washing machine, freezer, iron, all electronics etc without pampering. Today is April 3, 2025 see you in 2026 for update.

We will be starting with Error #bp
(I have used #the_error_code so it can be easy for you to find them when you search for it on the forum)

#bp = battery not present.
This is caused when the inverter can't recognise the battery it has 2 likely causes

1. When battery has been completely drained (some folks still ignore settings the right low battery voltage for the battery. Some will use lead LVD for lithium)

2. When their is short circuit in the inverter

Back to this bp case.

From experience, I have found out that onces there is open circuit between the 200ohm and the 10ohm resistor, it leads to error BP.
(There might be burnt MOSFET in the high side assuming the MOSFET are not replaced)

The circuit between C124-D59 is a totem pole drive circuit as I explained earlier

Mind you the MOSFET bank in hybrid inverters doesn't receive ground directly...

It's a whole complex systems (I am still even trying to figure out how the design came about)


Also, a very rare case of BP error is when battery terminal gets damaged

Most Batteries with 8 DIP Switches when used in parallel battery config are usually configured as shown on the attached picture. If you have a single pack, all DIP Switches should be down(off).

I might be wrong though but you should try it out, no harm should be caused.

I have used this config on LBSA & WECO Batteries + Deye & Growatt Inverters

Why are they not building solar panel plants or even encourage private investors to do that. Why are we not investing in our lithium deposits. We should be building batteries.

This is my own issue
Summary is the inverter always shows battery voltage higher than what it actually is (the range difference is not consistent) so the inverter thinks the battery is full when its not and doesn't charge.
At first I had to get an external cc but It later worsened to the inverter showing 30+V and then shutting off due to over voltage so it has been in storage for months now.
Online search says its a voltage resistor or something that might be bad.

Yes that's correct.

There is a short circuit on the resistors at the battery terminal side.

It's a fix you can easily carry out.

I will provide images as soon as I can get hold of it.

It should be something like this.

Thanks for your reply. I have already bought the panels for a while because I decided to be buying the materials for my renewable energy bit by bit and I may not be able to return them now.

Pls I would like to know the following:
1) What other danger I am facing aside from losing money.
2) What are the likely parameters of the 4 panels and how can I salvage the situation and I still make use of the panels
3) Should I buy additional panels to make up for the lose of energy as I had already calculated the output of the panels to match the load they will carry.

Let me be defining some terms. To make this log easy to carry newbies who will be learning while following up

1. H-bridge /full fridge
Basically a H-bridge is a type of switching topology that mimics the Shapes of a "H" it is characterised by a high side and a low side.

When we say High side, this section, doesn't receive 0v directly from the ground or negative of the battery..

It "source" is connected to the drain of the Lower side MOSFET.



2. Push pull
this is a very popular topology used in inverters starting from the days of square wave -modified- sine wave (yes some sine wave inverters still uses it)

It consists of a transformer with a 3 terminal primary winding.
12v-0-12v (the transformer has 2 12v windings in 1. It has 0 as the common point)

3. Drivers/buffer
A driver/buffer is simply a power amplifier/amplifications stage that Receives signal from the oscillator circuit and sends it to the MOSFET (the MOSFET bank)

4. Totem pole:
this is an amplifier/type of drive circuit that uses 2 transistors (bjt) to increase current and drive voltage too.

It usually consists of an NPN and PNP transistor.


5. Oscillator:
This simply the part of the circuit that generates the on-off signal that operates the MOSFET bank.

I don de tire at this point. Was using my inverter last night when nepa decided to show small love. See me see problem, I decided to go and recharge meter small. 5mins later I'm perceiving something burning and lo and behold the smell is coming from my setup.

Now I can't use the inverter with the battery together. Unit only supplies power if I'm going through PV/AC input to house, but shows error 09 (bus soft start failed) when I try to use battery.

Please who can assist me with this or knows any verified installer in Uyo to help look into this?

Your inverter has a short circuit, a damaged component.

To fix it, you will need to decommission and send to repair/service centre.
