Nairaland GeneralRe: Chukwuemeka Afigbo, Nigerian Who Works With Facebook (Photos) by Observator: 8:05pm On May 21, 2017
Fantastic news. Honestly Nigeria is a great country but mostly hated by his own people.

To the glory of God, I am visiting Ghana and other Africa countries after more than 10 years; all I can say is thank God for Nigeria.

Most Nigerian need to learn how to thank God. Unfortunately, Nairaland has become a platform for hatred and ethnic bashing.

Seun - you need to do something about hatred message on this site or you will allow your good works to be destroyed.

Let us together make this platform a place of sharing great ideas - ideas rule the world and not wanton hatred and name calling.

Older ruling class might have done wrongly, the younger generation should not fall into the same pitfall. I am bold to say again that Nigeria is a great Nation. God bless our Nation!

CelebritiesRe: A Lot Of Women In Abuja Today Are Nothing But Runs Women - Charley Boy. by Observator:
I sincerely appreciate Charly Man on this direct message. Many are listening because it is the truth spoken by a great public figure.

Would our youths have accepted this simple truth from a Preacher? The truth is always the truth, even if the world chose not to accept.

Glamorizing illicit sex will not make it right, when the victims have completely wasted their valuable time, they will come to their senses at their old age. Our entertainment folks are not telling the simplest truth about sex to the youth.

Joining my voice to Grandpa Charly Boy - I will say SEX IS FREE and should be cheaper than pure water.

At marriage, free sex is paid for once and for all. Please do not fall to the lie of the devil. Paying additional N1 for sex is a colossal loss.

Peace!

What is happening on Berger Bridge is simply awesome. Ambode is almost done with a massive pedestrian bridge on the main express at Berger. What a great relief it will be for Lagos-Ibadan Exp Way Users. Keep on the good work man and keep up innovating in this dry time. God bless Ambode!

Coldfeet: You just took it right out of me I wondered the same toohuh What did they use to treat those that have been discharged? And what are they using on those still in isolation that they couldn't or didn't use on the dead ones? Let them not be counting malaria and typhoid fever survivors as ebola survivors please.
Kindly note that Ebola could be managed with a combination of antibiotics and other therapy , if detected early. Early detection is key.

Christianity EtcRe: What Gospel Songs Makes You Cry? by Observator: 9:19pm On Oct 29, 2013
God bless all who have contributed meaningfully to this thread. I have added the link to my favourite for future reference.

With what I have read from the various write up, my hope for greater Nigeria is rekindled and my spirit is alive to write on Nairaland after a long while.

I will build up my gospel library with some of the songs. The Lord will build your faith and we will all see Him in glory (Amen).

My greatest gospel song is "I Can Only Imagine" by Mercy Me. He got inspiration for the song when he lost his father, and gave a deeper thought about life after death.

Cheers.
Car TalkRe: The Best Tyre For Nigerian Roads by Observator: 4:14pm On Jul 30, 2013
Your choice of Tyre should consider safety as the primary focus. Many Tyres are good but you must beware of imitations. Hence, you must buy from credible source. cheers

I am very proud of this achievement. All well meaning Nigerians should make Governments to encourage Innoson Motors and other indegenous manufacturers.

I will equally advise readers to ignore ethinc comments on Niraland. Just flow with the brilliant topic of discussion and refuse to join issues online.

God bless Innoson Motors.
CrimeRe: Gunmen Kill Ex-CBN Official In Owerri by Observator: 8:24pm On Aug 27, 2012
May his soul rest in perfect peace and may he reign with the Lord. Security is not getting better, more youths are taking to criminalities and life expectancy has been reduced significantly in Nigeria.

I believe people should perfect their WILL, as early as necessary; also all should be prepared to meet the Lord, at all times.

It is only by the mercy of God we survive each day. So remember to thank God for safety and please take your personal security very seriously. I pray, the Lord will not give up on us all.

Seun is the one who really needs help! Nairaland is fast fading as a website for intellectual stimulation and place of idea. It has become a place of bashing, ethnic bigotry and hatred etc. Nairaland is competing with PM news is rumour mongering and character assassination. Seun needs consultants and managers to help him turn this goldmine into a great successful venture. How can you have a site of this nature without a strict code of conduct and a quality screening process for enrolment? SEUN OSEWA, please shout for help or else Nairaland will go the way of most Nigerian companies.

The Holy Bible – Story about my creator and his expectation of me. This book has been for my doctrinal knowledge, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness.

My second best is “Autobiography of Malcolm X”, as told to Alex Harley. A great book that launched me into a great self discovery.

PoliticsRe: Has Tribalism On Nairaland Affected You Negatively? by Observator: 4:07pm On Mar 21, 2012
Surely, TRIBALISM AND FOUL LANGUAGE discourage me from Nairaland. I strongly believe the moderator needs help in maintaining decorum and basic ethics on this platform. Like electricity that can either electrify or electrocute, some Nairalanders use the medium to spread hatred and uncultured remarks. It is so painful that instead of being an agent of education, enlightenment, exchange of constructive idea etc, Nairaland has become ELECTRONICS AGENT OF MASS DESTRUCTION. Seun please, roll out rules on minimum standards in order to make the best of this wonderful forum. Some Nairalanders really need help and mentor. What is power without control (regulation)? What is a vibrant forum without ethical code of conducts?

PoliticsRe: Improved Power Supply Cuts Energy Cost 25% In Nigeria by Observator: 1:40pm On Sep 30, 2011
My fair assessment is that for about of 5 months now, we have been having average of 18 hour of power supply per day in my neighbourhood. Some areas energised from Maryland/Ikeja distribution zone (e.g some part of Ikosi, Magodo, Alausa, Berger, Wawa, Arepo etc), have enjoyed improved better power supply lately. PHCN, please keep it up.

PoliticsRe: Lagos State Govt Warns Of Another Heavy Rain - Be At Alert Guyz by Observator: 11:36am On Aug 19, 2011
Thanks to Lagos State for the timely warning. For those who are at risk of flood, kindly consider the safety following tips:

Here are important things you need to do once flood warning has been issued:
•Information is crucial during situations like these. Thus, you need to always listen to the radio for announcements and updates.
•Be sure to cooperate fully with local authorities and emergency services. If they require you to evacuate, follow them and do not dillydally as you will put yourself and your helpers at risk.
•Since electricity will almost certainly be unavailable, you must ensure that you do all the things you need to do during the day. It is much more difficult and unsafe to do things in the dark. Also get batteries for your torches and know where they are.
•Share the information with your neighbors, particularly the old people, so that they can also prepare themselves.
•Be sure to stay inside your house. Floodwater can kill, especially when it is raging, so do not attempt to go out. It is important to note that rapid flowing water that is six inches high could make you fall, while two feet of water could make your car float.
•Ensure that your pets and cars are in a safe location. Once you heard of flood warning, you should stay on the second floor of your house.
•There maybe objects floating in the water, so do not attempt to swim through raging flood. You can either be swept away or be knocked over by objects that are in the water.
•Floodwater may be dirty and contaminated with sewage, so you should avoid contact if possible. It would be a shame that you survived the flooding, but fell ill because of contaminated water.
•River bridges, sea defenses, and riverbanks are very dangerous places to be in during floods, so be sure to steer away from them if possible. There have been many cases wherein floodwater have destroyed or collapsed bridges and defenses.

This is one kidnapping too many! Government, police, students, religious bodies and all well meaning Nigerian should not sleep on this matter. As a matter of urgency, we must all be involved in preventing reoccurrence and bring the perpetrators to justice. Please help in your own little way to be your brothers’ keepers.  I suggest the establishment of a counter-surveillance program in every neighbourhood – we are all at risk, so we must act fast. May the Lord intervene in the Obi’s case.
