RomanceRe: Should You Announce Your Engagement On Facebook? by obyann(f): 5:42pm On Sep 27, 2010
I do agree with u on this, marriages get called off too not only engagement.so how will people react when your status changes to married and later changes to unmarried, one should just commit everything to God whether engaged or married. God has the final say!

See as people don turn facebook into their reality, better be careful how u use social networking sites and don't go on putting personal information about your life, u don't know who is who, i wonder why everyone must display their relationship status for the world to see, if any other man wants to toast you they will still toast you whether or not u have your relationship status as married with 10 children,
Thank you. i wonder why it's compulsory for her to display it on fb as if she's the only one that is engaged.

RomanceRe: Should You Announce Your Engagement On Facebook? by obyann(f): 9:14am On Sep 23, 2010
My sister, be yourself. As for me I'll not do it. If the guy wants my status changed, he should go ahead with wedding.

A similar thing happened to my friend, they have even fixed date for the marriage and all of a sudden the guy stated behaving funny and was bold enough to tell her that he cannot continue with the marriage. He said his reason is that God showed him another girl as his wife. But before this issue came up, his family was busy announcing the engagement to family, friends, neighbours etc.

Nobody is praying for her marriage to be called off, but i will advice you to be very careful.

Why would any right thinking person in Nigeria cross a vehicle driven by a soldierhuh? Seriously i think they were trying to extort money from the truck driver and decided to tow the truck when he refuse to give them, that will explain why the area boys were stoning them on top the shishi the soldiers gave them,

it serves them right grin grin grin grin grin grin

HealthNma-medical Doctor, Best Suited For Health Minister by obyann(op): 5:53pm On Apr 16, 2010
Abuja — While the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) insisted yesterday that a medical doctor was best suited for the post of health minister, there were strong indications that the son of Nigeria's first prime minister, Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and a former commissioner in Ebonyi State were in the race to become the substantive minister of health.

THISDAY checks showed that while the former Ebonyi commissioner is a medical practitioner, Balewa's son, Dr. Jhalil Tafawa Balewa from Bauchi State, is an American-trained nuclear physicist. Both names have since been submitted to Acting President Goodluck Jonathan for consideration.

Speaking at a news conference to herald the 50-year anniversary of the Nigerian Medical Association holding April 22, 2010 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, President of the association, Dr. Prosper Igboeli, maintained that in the health sector, the only person with the required capacity to lead the ministry remains a medical doctor.

He recalled that a time was in the nation's history when the chief medical officer was next in line to the chief justice of the federation, noting that it was the reason why the NMA had consistently called for the establishment of the chief medical officer of the federation or the surgeon-general of the federation, who should be a medical doctor.

The only person that has the extreme knowledge to do many things in the health sector is the medical doctor. I am not a laboratory scientist but I can go to the lab and conduct a test. Nobody else can take you to the theatre and cut you up except the medical doctor. If you put the wrong person there, he cannot do it. It will simply be garbage in, garbage out", he said.

However, other health professionals in the sector kicked against this assertion.

President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Azubike Okwor, said a science degree was not necessarily required to head the health ministry but maintained that if a pharmacist or other health professional is found to have the capacity to discharge the functions of such office creditably, there was nothing wrong in taking charge as the health minister. "We have had enough of this rigmarole, what we need is somebody with a proven track record that can move the sector forward", he said.

the two countries you are talking about have over 1 billion people each in terms of population.
if you just transfer 45 million of them (from each country) to naija, they will become the dominant tribe and start asking for their own turn in rotational presidency.
north/south/Indian/Chinese rotational presidency.
PDP will tell you it is a gentleman agreement.
you are very correct.
how can we be slaves in our own country? something need to be done honestly.

Which Yoruba man support OBJ? This thread is about Iwu and South East politicians what does this have to do with any Yoruba man? How many Yoruba politicians are behind OBJ? Is it not Igbos and Hausas that made him powerful? We voted an intellectual (Falae} y'all voted an old dirt bag. AC won most states in South West during the 1999 election from what I heard but you Igbos opted for PDP and their corrupt sets of dirt bags. How did the Yorubas support OBJ? So when the South east politicians got caught in an act of stupidity the next best thing is to accuse Yorubas of stupidity? Una nefa starti
grin grin grin I think he was just talking about tribalism in Nigeria. come to think of it, Majority of Northerners still want Yaradua as president of Nigeria. There were Yorubas that supported OBJ during his tenure and a lot of them wanted him out. Those of them that supported him was because they were getting something from him cheesy cheesy cheesy

PDP at work again. Its PDP that is talking through the so called SE. For me, MI has not helped Nigerians in any way during his tenure. He is one of the bad eggs we have in this country. He should quit that seat. Lets give another person a chance and it must not be a Papa deceive pikin member.

Am surprise that non of the clerics advised Yar dua to see his vice-president.

Am surprised non of the cleric advised the president to resign so that he can rest his frail bones and flesh.

Am surprised non of the clerics advised the president to atleast speak a word or two (with watever medium he chooses) to curious and well loving Nigerians who have been praying for him.

Am surprise non of the clerics could speak the truth before the president with this opportunity of a life-time they had to see him.

All they could come up with his that the president is getting better.

They (clerics) claim to be men of God. They should go back to the bible and read scriptures of Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Elijah and Elisah, to know what they did and said when they had opportunities to meet the King.
Thank you very much. unfortunately the purpose of their visit was to distract the polity.
