BeraBera: The Nigerian Police needs to sit up, ordinary armed robbers, they cannot catch. After wrecking all the havock they wrecked, they were still able to escape. Na wa oh. By the way, I heard that some policemen sell/lease guns to armed robbers, is it true? Those Robbers might not be ordinary armed robbers, but maybe some police and army boys gone bad ![]() They may also be deported Nigerians from abroad, who are desperate to maintain the lavish life styles they had before in Jand which was financed through Credit Card fraud and drugs. |
I was surprised when they started advertising the GOTV Satellite TV alongside the normal DSTV Satellite station. I wondered when they were granted the GOTV License. GOTV Ko, START TV Ni ![]() |
They should just tell us, they've made up after their fight. |
![]() I can imagine the guy being beaten up by his wife shouting: 'Neighbor !Neighbor ! Help !!! LWKMD Seriously, a real man should not touch a lady, but should find other ways to resolve disputes. |
Do they have classes for, 'nagging wives' as they have Alcoholic Anonymous for drunks? I believe if such a class is available, it will make many husbands more happy ![]() |
Pataki: Clueless president. Same story day in day out. There is no need to get personal about GEJ's performance or non-performance in Government. I am asking that you criticise him constructively, so that if he is a listening President, he will listen and make corrections to policies and government activities, so that they might impact positively on the masses. |
Obama sees the potential in the Nigerian economy: Large working population, 70% of the population are aged between 25 to 60 years; Abundant natural resources, such as Oil and natural gas; large road network (though currently debilitated);opportunities for investment in infrastructure etc. |
@edakedkay, I read your other posts, as you suggested, and you sounded very calm and reasonable in them. Why have you suddenly turned into a verbal, aggresive writter against me? I dont understand ![]() Anyway, you remind me of a certain lady involved in the Arts, who also attended Imperial College London, who is also very equally vociferous in a nice way. Due to the above reason, I will sheath my sword and suggest we agree to a truce, okay. ![]() |
edakedkay: ignorance is really a disease. How much part-time work, as an international student would she have done to pay a whooping 3 sch years fees that ran into thousands of pounds, pay her accommodation, transportation and take care of other basic necessities? Coupled with the new law on int'l students not working at all, how much can she raise to pay the next sch yr's fee. Even while working on your dissertation, you're not allowed to work full-time as it's considered as a 3rd term for you. So what are you telling us? Rather than spewing rubbish from your gob, why not shut it up and save yourself the embarrassment of the world knowing your exalted level of ignorance? You strike me as a guy who is currently studying in one of those one-room Universities they have abroad which cannot pass for a sub-standard secondary school here in Nigeria [The level of your intellectual, or lack of it, discussion shows you cannot articulate your point without being abusive to the other party that you are trying to put your point across to. Where are you studying right now? Afghanistan No wonder you sound so much like a Taliban.![]() |
I guess you are in Nigeria the way you sounded.... there is no free lunch abroad man. she was indirectly paying her way through school by slaving as you call it
@Richy, yes, I am currently in Nigeria. I am talking from the point of view of someone who has a Cousin who was offered admission to a University in Australia. Due to non-available of funds for tuition, the cousin was asked to pay the tuition fees for one academic session, after which the University sent a letter to the Australian High Commission in Nigeria and the said Cousin was granted a Student Visa. The Cousin is presently in his third year of study because the University found a part-time Job for him through which he is able to pay his tuition. |
mesef: There's new development in Lagos since PHCN stabilized electricity...Lagosians especially around the mainland, are beginning to connect their electricity directly to the wire poles because they feel they exhaust their meter card too quickly and they do not want to buy the meter recharge cards again!!just imagine!!The people who engage in this illegal connection are putting themselves at very great risk ![]() Last week a young Electrician trying to do an illegal electricity connection to a residential building, in Ekiti State, was electrocuted and died few hours later. Government should provide some form of social security for the down-trodden masses, so that the desperation to cut corners through illegal electricity connections and scooping of spilled fuel will be brought to a halt. ![]() |
I am surprised that you sister agreed to slave under your Uncle and Aunt in London, so that they can pay her tuition fees. If she is a Full-Time student of her University, she is entitled to a Student's Visa. Armed with a Student's Visa, she could find part-time Jobs she could work on to raise money to pay for the next academic session's tuition fees. ![]() I suggest she makes an appeal to the University's Student Union and the University Authorities. |
The level of absurdity is something else !Imagine the Minister advising Politicians to steal a little, but not so much so as not to become bandits ![]() A Small thief and a large one are both Bandits in the true sense of the word. The above incident reminds me of the term, 'Tapping' which was being used in Secondary school to define the unathourised keeping of another clasmate's book or writting Pen which actually was outright stealing. |
Mtcheeeeu!! Afterall, they r d same people who go arnd giving them these weapons n bombs ϯo kill people Who is funding syrian, somalian, chechnian rebels, bokoharam etc Same west. They funded ojukwu as ϯo fight Nigeria as well. They Say one thing anϑ practice another. Even the Boko nonsense in nigeria, tђere is suspicion they αve a hand in it. So, they can all go ϯo hell fσr all i care
If you dont have something reasonable to comment just read and close. The blaming game you played since 1960s and 1970s is what you are still playing. The west this and that..............they are responsible for your drainage problem in your house too. A shallow mind that leaves substance to pursue shadows. |
If the new born baby is a girl, then the couple had better watch out !!! I know of a true life situation where a houseboy was sexually molesting three little girls from the same parents; this is not a made up story as their father confided about this sad incident to me ![]() On the other hand, female househelps are prone to get unwanted pregnancy, not from the father of the house, and indulge in different activities that you cannot believe The friend above eventually had to send the house-girl packing and since then has vowed not to let any house-help into his house, which I believe is the best decision to take on this issue. |
madridsta007: Poor safety measures by the contracting company. Bulldozers have sealable windows and compartments. Either he didn't use it or it didn't work. I would think the latter happened. Horrible way to die, believe me.@Madridsta007, you are very correct. Poor Fella, he died in the line of active duty; RIP. ![]() The construction company should ensure that the wife and children of the deceased worker are adequately compensated in order not to truncate their education and future due to the death of their bread-winner. The construction company should ensure that the Caterpillars that they will use in future for such bush clearing excersise for Road or Estate construction should be type that has windows that can be closed so that dangerous insects and reptiles, like snakes, cannot strike at the Caterpillar Driver while he is busy at work. |
You don dey Okada before when rain dey fall? You will feel you are being pelted with small stones....quite painful ![]() That is why the Okada guy came up with the weird contraption; necessity is the mother of invention ![]() |
Kidnappers don come Lagos oh God help all of us who have to leave our homes at Ungodly hours in order to beat the Lagos traffic congestion and get to work at the usual stipulated opening time of 7:30am ![]() |
hardbody: Did you read the post that he was DRIVING a mettalic coloured EOD?An insider who knows Ayotunde Aliu's daily itinerary must have organised the kidnap. The suspect must also be aware that Ayotunde goes about with his cash loaden card in his pocket and so arranged for the kidnappers to block Ayotunde's car on that fateful day ![]() Its also possible that it could be a case of random kidnappers moving around and looking for victims to seize in exchange for a hefty ransome. However, the police should start interrogating those very close to him, such as family members, Neighbours and co-workers at his office with a view to finding out from them if any suspicious person(s) had been monitoring Ayotunde's movement of recent. I hope Ayotunde is eventually released, hale and hearty, to his family and friends. |
The Governor knows that his state is now a War Zone, so he went to the front line fully kitted. |
Great game by D'Tigers !!! They have nothing to be ashamed of in this defeat. Lets use this Olympics to plan for greater heights concerning the game of Basketball. |

Korrection: Just thought of something that might not be impossible...I would love to host a party for Nairalanders but im scared there might fight..cos the way some of us reacts to issues here are bloody...Do you think its gonna be a good thing to do and where would you like such party to hold?...what time of the year...date and definitely place...wont like it in the north though...lol...I mean it...It will be a nice idea as it will enable all the NL combatants to see they are all related through their common humanity. The party will engender more understanding among NLanders, but please make arrangement for security too. ![]() |

This is very possible becuase many of the artisans called Bricklayers eat like there is no tommorow ![]() The physically demanding nature of their Job might be responsible for their hungery nature and their Stout physique too, take a look at the guy in the picture ![]() |
