ProgrammingRe: What Do You Think Happened Behind The Scene With Nl by ochukoccna: 1:54pm On Jul 01, 2014
Seun's official release on Nl's recent outage and data loss is a load of horsesh*t IMHO undecided undecided undecided
Even green horns in computing know that your data is your lifeblood , talk less of a Seun who has spent years in computing coming up with tales by moonlight excuses of the hosting company handling Nairaland's traffic having their data servers hacked
Anyone learning Database 101 knows you store your data off-site and backups in different places
Unless he's wanting us to tag him a an incompetent IT professional shocked shocked
He could feed the gullible with such horsesh*t but not those who know how binary numbers stack up
And to think conversations on the outage have been in the site's back pages and not given prominence

The chicken has now come to roost with Stella's 'University of Toronto' degree grin grin especially as PUNCH didn't make this a basis to remove her
Many Nigerian polithiefcians hold such degrees no doubt but it Stella who has been found out this time
Ebele Jonathan need not be a rocket scientist to realise the more he keeps her, the more he damages his already slippery hold of whatever little [if any] moral authority he wields
There are other ways of compensating her for her loyalty to him [another anomaly in African politics where office holders are loyal to a person and not the state] but keeping her in office is not one of them
I wish him Goodluck in whatever decision he takes cool cool

Saucy Dolph: Hey everyone. Good day. Please I need your suggestion and help. I want to book a hotel in Manchester. I guess some of you must have done that before coming to UK.I want to book it along Oxford road, Manchester or anyone close to University of Manchester. Please what are the criteria to look for when booking a room and if anybody knows any good one around, please suggest. Want to book it for May(14th-30th).
Really appreciate your help.
Thanks
Why you want to book a hotel for that long [over 2 weeks] beats me? embarassed embarassed
You must be in the $$$$$ then seeing a week at an 'ordinary' Bread and Breakfast can set you back by 300 - 400 quid shocked shocked
Your Uni should have a list of recommended hotels you could pick from, do find out
Hotels near Universities are normally more pricey
UK has a good road network thus taxis and buses would help in transit
Have a look at http://www.laterooms.com/ and http://www.hostelworld.com/ if your uni can't help out

PoliticsRe: Sanusi Forced To leave 3-Months To The End Of His Tenure - SaharaReporters by ochukoccna:
Hmnn!
Additionally, one of the sources at the Presidency told SaharaReporters that, although Mr. Sanusi's allegations were substantially accurate, the CBN governor was forced to back down from the more damaging aspects of his claims after the president's associates threatened to make an issue of his reckless spending and philandering.
So whether Sanusi is been forced to retire early or not, his allegations are SUBSTANTIALLY ACCURATE yet things continue as normal in Nigeria undecided undecided
For those saying Sanusi should not have leaked the letter, I do not agree due to the MASSIVE FRAUD been perpetuated under Ebele Jonathan who folds his hands akimbo and looks the other way
Do you know how much is $50 billion or even this new figure of $10.8 billion? angry angry
BTW Sanusi had written this letter as at early September yet the Presidency had not deemed it fit to act or pretend to act till it became public knowledge in mid December shocked shocked

I believe you mean a domiciliary account as Justwise asked
I recall a chap during the Sept/Oct school session who said he used such and got his Tier 4 entry
Howevr your questions are better answered here https://www.nairaland.com/826936/uk-student-visa-tier-4

justwise: If you are a lively character you find fun in a boring city, there are far too many to do as a student to keep you busy year round.
Leave your comfort zone!!!! be flexible, you don't have to hang around Nigerians, eat Nigerian food, attend Nigerian church and party with Nigerians to feel at home here. Volunteer, join social group... in the UK if you kept yourself to yourself they will leave you for yourself.
Oga Justy, I agree with most of the above and even am fine tuning the process of volunteering
While I may not have mentioned it, it was Nigerians [esp fresh out of Naija] I alluding to in my 'green snake under the green grass' quote earlier
But biko, I don't have to eat Nigerian food ke! shocked shocked
Apart from bread and toast which I find passable, I have not had pleasurable moments with British cuisine tongue tongue

Ozil and Giroud need rest
They've been two of our mosty effective players and have played every game of the season except vs Hull which Giroud on the bench
If only Bendtner played with his feet more than his mouth making wild assumptions, maybe he would be a more than able deputy to Giroud
However now that Poldi is back, he should help take some pressure away from Giroud who has been looking for someone to help finish his hold up play
Recall Giroud gave Poldi his assist wink
Giroud is Arsenal's top striker but he's more of a team player and not like a out and out finisher like Van Persie or CR7 or Luiz Suarez or Gonzalo Higuain or Aguero

His tactical approach to matches must sometimes be called into question
Poldoski has definitely changed the complexion of this game
