Hi Guys. I submitted my Application on June 22nd. I made sure all my documents met the requirements for NSE. I already did biometrics for my Express Entry in 2020 and also uploaded medicals and IELTS with sufficient POF and SOP. I haven’t heard anything from them since then. My questions are; Are they actually processing my Application as NSE? How long is it going to take? What are my chances of getting PPR before my 7th of September school resumption date? I’d really appreciate an informed response to these questions. Thanks guys.

You're proactive and that's cool, these people no get pattern o,your could be lucky and get a final decision on your application before resumption and if not ,most schools have a deferral option.
I wish you the best

Please did you get an email when your eligibility started.I am trying to avoid signing into my account every other day.

Thanks

You won't be notified when your eligibility starts. When you have important update on your application ,it will be communicated to you via your mail.

You can choose to check your account just once in a week.
It will surely end in praise

Please I’ve applied for student visa since last year November. I have emailed them multiple times but all they keep saying is "We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is still in process.

Due to the ongoing situation related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only.

We are working on processing applications as quickly as possible; however, processing times are affected and any disruption caused by COVID-19 is not reflected accurately on our website. We will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible.

Rest assured that you will be informed as soon as a decision is reached or if additional information is needed."

I’m tired I swear. We’re staring in person classes by September and still no feedback from them. I saw what you guys call ghost update but I’ve seen no advancement since then. Can anyone help with an email that I can write to them that will at least do something?

8 months?,habaaa!,....can't imagine how hard it must have been.

I won't want to believe your application hasn't been touched. Please have you at any point ordered for your gcms note?, this would have given you an insight and save you the stress.

Since webform is not helpful anymore , I'll suggest you get in touch with the Member of Parliament where your institution is located.

Gurus in the house.
Pls can I generate my normal bank statement in pdf from my mobile app and send to ircc via webform for this NSE request?

I use an online bank (Vbank) to be precise

Oct202020 makano lekiboboe

To be honest,I don't know what vbank is.

In meeting NSE requirement, it has to be mybankstatement, like you mentioned,it can be generated on your mobile app if your bank is among the ones that offer the service. That normal bank statement won't work

Hi All,

Please, is it normal if someone's profile reads "your action is required" even after ignoring NSE request that was sent in March?

Should I be worried?
Can PPR enter with such a profile?

Eligibility review started June 30th

March 6th Applicant

Your action is truly required o, normally the thing suppose change after 30days but we've seen many cases like this and what you need to do is come up with a reason why the NSE was ignored, upload it in the appropriate section and submit it.

E don happen o!!!!!
PPR ALERT
TIMELINE:
• February 8th: First submission
• February 17th: I received an NSE request. I had already submitted IELTS, so they just requested for MBS certificate.
• March 10th: I completed my NSE resubmission.
• March 16th: I went for upfront medicals
• April 12th: Medicals were updated to passed
• April 19th: I received a BVL At this point I was so excited and was anticipating receiving PPR.
• April 21st:Received a request letter asking for police certificate. I received the request mail around 6am. I went to Ikoyi that same day to get the police certificate and submitted it that same day.
• May 5th: I received a second BVL. When I received this, I was so confused. I had never heard of someone receiving more than on BVL. I thought IRCC mistakenly sent me BVL instead of PPR.
• May 31st : I ordered my GCMS notes
• June 30th: I received my GCMS notes. They were perfect, they showed “Eligibility: passed” and “Final: approved”. I was so happy, but IRCC decided to keep me waiting. I can't lie, I started to doubt whether the notes were true.
• July 28th : PPR
I am a first time applicant. I applied for a PGD in Marketing & Data Analytics at Okanagan college.
I submitted 2 MBS certificates, one from my dad and the other from my uncle. I also submitted two letters of sponsorship, one from my parents the other from my uncle.
It has ended in praise!!

Good morning beautiful People,

congratulations to everyone who had received PPR in July,

Please I have questions :

I applied for study permit for my children 8 and 5, since June no response yet but I believe it will come soon by God's grace

At VFS adults will usually submit the receipt from biometrics with passport upon request for submission, but since they were children biometrics wasn't required, What they do I submit when passport is requested?
is there any amount of money we will be expecting to pay?
I will prefer to send to Abuja to speed up the process. is there any extra cost for that?
kindly shed more light

Once their application is successful, you need to pay the transmission fee for both of them and send the evidence of payment alongside their passports.

Good evening everyone
I've been seeing people ask what should be done about their refusals from the abundance of my knowledge when it comes to immigration matters the most reasons for refusal are usually
Purpose of visit
Personal assets and financial situation
Finance
Purpose of visit : when it comes to study permit often times even before ordering the gcms notes we should be able to detect what went wrong with our application, when you're denied for this reason above specifically all you need do is check if you're able to convince the visa officer as to why you are going to Canada to study a particular program and how that program will be of benefit to you and your career, even if it's a career switch it is in your best interest to write a very good and convincing study plan, we often talk about career progression and or educational progression but ideally the immigration system recognizes that we are human and situations can change even if you're switching career or going for a program lower than your last credentials make sure you do justice to your study plan
Personal assets and financial situation
The visa officer wants to see that you have done well for yourself where u reside or in your home country, even if you're being sponsored and you are not a minor you can show your level of establishment by adding your statement of account, even if you haven't been earning, have your sponsor pay a certain amount into your account, that's where we talk about gift deeds and the likes, if you don't have a personal assets in your name, submit your car purchase documents, have your parents do a gift deed of their idle land in your name. Even after submission of employment letters and the likes it won't hurt to go extra miles to package your application. The visa officer sees you the way you want them to see you. You aren't going to be interviewed so the best way u can show them who you are is via your submitted documents and your written SOP
Finance: even when you have a sponsor and the funds appear okay for your studies, let your sponsor show commitment by sending a part of your fees into your account, the transaction can be tagged "study allowance to Canada" ," living expenses in Canada" etc so that when you present your bank statement and that of your sponsor they can see the transaction and see the readiness of your sponsor to support you, if you are using a 3rd party asides your parents it won't hurt to go extra miles and show the visa officer, what the 3rd party stands to derive by sponsoring you, what you owe the 3rd party or how your studies will also be of benefit to a 3rd party . A visa officer will have concerns as to why an uncle is sponsoring you and spending such a huge amount on you when he also has his own personal responsibilities. But it will make sense if an uncle is sponsoring you because he wants you to come back and head his company or he has a company that wants to support your business and his company supporting your business will gain more financial opportunities while your own brand in turn gets a better recognition and opportunities. Those are things that will make sense to a visa officer
I just felt I should chip in some insights
I can't start typing cos book go full.
It will end in praise for us all

This is nice,thanks

Which type of GCMS note should I order?
How much?
Thanks for your kind gesture!

Is there anything wrong with sending regular web forms to see how far your application or to remind them? And does it actually make any difference?
Time is running out before this fall semester lowkeyyyyy

If your application has exceeded the normal processing time, then you can keep reminding them via webform but if not, please refrain.

Is it okay if I have three sponsors?

My main sponsor has about 10 mil in his acc. Second sponsor is a company manager with a lot more, and the third has about a million.

Should I use only two or is it okay to have the third too?

1m is only about 3,000 cad(not that significant),so i think going with just 2sponsor is ok ,but the most important thing is establishing the relationship between you and your sponsors; the reason why they're ready to spend that much on you.
It will end praise.

Dear Nairaland family,

It has finally dropped ooooo! Glory be to God Almighty!!!!

Sister's application
AOR: Feb 11 2021
Program: Practical nursing May 2021 (Sheridan college)- clearly can't go for May 2021 anymore due to delay, will go for Jan 2022 session!
Upfront medical : April 28, 2021 ( we said let's do medical to see if it will speed things up, lol jokes)
Medical passed: June 14, 2021 (just see how long it took them to update medical!)
Eligibility started: July 23, 2021
PPR and correspondence letter: this morning July 27th @ 4:34am!

What a wait! Basically this application took 5 months and 16 days. I remember I considered withdrawing the application at some point, but you all encouraged me to hold on! During this waiting period, 3 gcms notes were ordered and the fourth one has been ordered as well. All the gcms notes received didn't have much info as eligibility was blank. Each time I got the gcms notes, I was always disappointed that eligibility was blank. Now that I think of it, I guess it's not a bad thing...

I just want to use this medium to thank everyone for their support through out this journey! This is a wonderful platform and we all draw strength and hope from one another! One thing that helped me during the long wait was seeing other people's approval postings. I was always encouraged by those success stories. I remember telling myself that my testimony was near when DD097 and demure got approved as we all applied around the same time and faced this delay..

In short, this is a wonderful platform and I hope more people get to know about the wonderful support we have here! Thanks to all the gurus and everyone that tries to assist others with their questions! If you have any questions for me , please feel free to ask here so others can learn from it ! I'm rooting for all my co- February applicants and any one with a delayed application and of course everyone on here , that you will all get a favourable response soon in Jesus name!

Cheers to more success stories ! grin

Just imagining how happy you are right now.
Congratulations sis

Please any idea on how I can go about applying for SOWP for my hubby and study visa for my kids.

Most gurus always advise you land in Canada and get the necessary docs (SIN,study permit, home address etc) before applying for your family, but some lucky ones(though very few) have tried it successfully from Nigeria.

Has there been a significant improvement in the total balance?

And why is that, it was not stated on the Canada website now... abi

You're very correct, except if you're going through NSE route.
At the same time, if your bank offers the service and the account is straight (as in not doctored) then I see no reason why one shouldn't take the advantage of mybankstatement.
Just my thought

Thank you very much.

To support my family ties, I wanted to send my dad’s old contract award letter with the state government, his company’s CAC and the particulars of directors to prove he owns the company and has handled a top government contract, meanwhile this is the same company where I work and My dad isn’t funding my education. Will this raise a red flag?

Secondly, I want to attach birth certificates of my siblings, but not all are available. Should I go ahead with the ones I have or just skip this.

Sorry......I have been away for couple of days.
Answering your second question, please add the available birth certificates.

That first question pass me o,na for gurus but I think those documents can show how well established the family is and adding them is not a red flag ,yet I don't know how relevant they are since dad is not sponsoring. But I'm of the opinion; documents no dey too plenti.

Let's wait for the guru's.

And is it compulsory to order for GCMS notes since I my student visa was rejected 6 months ago based on me not leaving Canada at the end of my study because of my personal assets and financial status.

Thanks

Try IELTS LIZZY
The refusal reasons are simple and straight forward but it's always better to request for the gcms note and I think you should.

You are welcome Chief.

Of a truth, the Non-STEM graduates I have seen so far that got Fully-funded Graduate offer from Canadian & US Universities are those in
- History
- International Relations
- Political Science
- Language & Linguistics etc.

I haven't really come across Non-STEM in Management areas that got Fully-funded Graduate offer in a Canadian or US universities.

But I feel the possible game changer for you is if you can tailor your Non-STEM Management Research Interests to STEM cos have seen posts on twitter whereby some two guys in Banking & Finance field have to tailor their Research to STEM , which enabled them get a Fully-funded Graduate offer.

How can you do that?

Since you specialise in Finance & your Research interests are on
- Corporate finance and investment banking or international finance, if you are skilled in Data Analytics (Python, SQL, R-progam, Advanced Excel, SAS etc.), you can easily go for RESEARCH INTERESTS in Business Analytics, cos your skills in Business Analytics can be applied to Corporate Financing, investment banking , international finance

You can go through the Post in the link below, you might find it helpful

If you are interested in MSC or PHD in Business Analytics in Canadian Universities
https://www.nairaland.com/6567181/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/340#103603240

How you come up with these things still baffles me, honestly. You're such a gem, chief.

Pls how does one prove family ties.

I only submitted my dad’s NIN
And filled names of my siblings in my IMM form

Secondly, I ignored request for IELTS cos my school waiver IELTS, can I send an English proficiency letter to substitute IELTS? And how do I send it, through webform?

So many things can serve as home tie; Immediate family, present job, business, community involvement, establishment and properties. Whichever out of the aforementioned should be fleshed in the SOP. In your case, it's family and it's good.

Secondly, the english proficiency letter and a well constructed letter of explanation stating why the requested IELTS wasn't submitted will definitely do.

I wish you the very best, it will end in praise.
