Hello all!
I'm Fadila. I'm the fifth born in a family of four girls, two boys.
I want to know your thoughts/opinions about females that put on waist beads. What do you think of them? Do you have any thing against waist beads? I want to know because your opinions will help me in a way. I wear waist beads, but I usually try as much as possible to avoid people knowing I wear one. So, I do hide it all the time, because some people's opinions on it might not be what I would really like to hear. I usually feel bad when I hear some things people say about putting on waist beads because, those things are never the reasons why I wear them. There is a reason why I wear them, and it's never because of those things they say.

So, I would like to hear your opinions about it.
And if there's any one here (females) who wears them, you can give your reasons ( if you want to) why you wear them. So, those that say some things about it can maybe have a rethink and be more enlightened about this.

The North has had 8 unbroken years in charge. With Yar Adua's three years, then that is 11 years in a 16 years period (2007 to 2023) and they now want another 8 years.

They cannot have a day longer in charge of Nigeria beyond Buhari. I find Obi unfit as a leader but I will vote him and hope for a miracle, if Tinubu cannot win, than ever use my own hand to thumb print for Atiku or Kwankwaso. Not possible and not an option for me.

If not that some Southerners are shameless slaves, can Northerners ever accept 16 possible years of Southern rule without beginning to riot and burn down Nigeria?

Political parties are a joke in Nigeria. Cross carpeting doesn't get someone sanctioned or kicked out. Parties like accepting high profile political prostitutes. Leaving the party and rejoining isn't a big deal. This is true even if it's clear they're not ideologically in line with them or worse a 5th column. Criminal activity doesn't get on sanctioned or kicked out. The slapping senator beat up a woman in a sex shop on camera with no recourse. Anti party behavior doesn't get anyone punished: Wike endorsed opposition candidate in Lagos. The guys is having them waste time and money putting out his fires.

When IBB annulled the June 12 election on June 23, 1993 & proposed an Interim National Goverment (ING), the
people democratic movement (PDM) group within the social democratic party (SDP) made up of Shehu Yar'Adau, Tony Anenih, Atiku Abubakar et al, embraced the ING when MKO Abiola and the likes of Bola Tinubu within SDP rejected it" Atiku was part of the People democratic movement (PDM) that participated in the interim national government (ING) & some of them were appointed by Shonekan. When Justice Dolapo declared the ING illegal, Abacha took over on Nov. 17, 1993 & decided to buy time by setting up the 1994 Confab instead of de-annulling it & swearing in Abiola.

Bola Tinubu and other democrats had formed the National Democratic
Coalition (NADECO) & rejected both Abacha & the Confab and insisted on respecting the wishes of Nigerians by de-annulling June 12. Meanwhile, Atiku and his PDM confederates took active part in Abacha's CONFAB.

In 1995, Abacha created a phantom coup plot & arrested Yar'Adua, who was the leader of PDM. As a result some PDM members decided to boycott Abacha's transition & his 5 political parties which were a facade aimed at crowning Abacha as consensus candidate for civilian Presidency.
But in desperation for power, Atiku joined one of Abacha's party, the united national Congress party (UNCP), and emerged as the favourite to clinch the Adamawa guber ticket before
Abacha suddenly died on June 8, 1998. At this time, the NADECO leaders like Bola Tinubu had all been hounded into exile by Abacha.

From the little I understand, certain persons were excluded from participating in the Congress.

- Does the Court have the power to question the Congresses of any Party?

1. The SC has ruled many times that Delegates Congresses are internal affairs of a Political Party BUT it can be questioned where the Party falls foul of the Provisions of its own Constitution.

I don't know the proof they were excluded that was brought before Justice Obile. (That's for another day).

2. Most importantly, the suit was filed by George Orlu, Henry Wali & 3 Ors.... These persons have defected to the SDP alongside Magnus Abe and therefore have no locus to institute this case.

3. The Supreme Court in Iyore Osagie & Ors v PDP; Victor Enoghama & Ors v PDP (i.e. the recent Edo PDP/Orbih crisis) stated that delegates who are not aspirants have no locus to challenge same in Court.

The Supreme Court in a lead judgement by Amina Augie JSC reiterated that by virtue of Section 84(14) of the Electoral Act, only aspirants who participated in the Primaries can approach the Court.

That is to say that Magnus Abe should have approached the Court if need be, however, he did not participate in the Rivers APC Guber Primaries.


The case should ordinarily be allowed on Appeal.
