1. There is only one or two nomination category (-ies) for Africa which was in actual fact, created just in last 8yrs when it was agreed on by the committee that Grammy Award should not be limited to few continents but the entire world.
2. Now, to artistes who will make the nominations, the likelihood that these talented artistes you cited ( 2face, P-Square, Asa ) will make the list is low. Perhaps Asa can but others, I doubt cos they all sing hip-hop and there is nothing African ( traditional ) about them except the language they use.
That's why only the Musicians involved in Contemporary Highlife, Afro-Beat, Folklores, Soukous, Makossa etc will usually get nominated.
The highly-rated & hand-picked professional members of the Grammy Award committees know their onions well & don't just nominate anyhow. They are not swayed by the highly 'synthensized' instrumentals/beat, popularity or fads which has characterised the African Hip-hop culture / genre.

soulfood: Davido’s “Dami Duro” mega hit is a song that needs no introduction, as it swept and continues to sweep the clubs and radio. But a closer look at the sonics and engineering sensibilities of the track leaves me actually wanting to stop the song from playing on my studio monitors altogether, and stop his engineers from entering any serious studio altogether



Production

The production is a good pop/techno production and this is where the track really scores high. it’s got a good mixture of afro beat, drums and pop synths, nice background pad sound, good guitar lick at 2:30 reminiscent of Ebenezer Obey, as well as a nice introduction of live elements at 2:57. In addition, there is good instrument multi-layering and use of percussion, and it is clear that the producer (Davido) pretty much throws it all in, synths, kicks, pop and afrobeat progressions, as well as acoustic live elements to try and see which ones thrill the listener. It’s really a lot more busy than the average listener will actually be aware of while sweating it out on the dance floor.

onatisi: yes it makes better sense and was much clearer than yours maybe u need to rewrite the story but as the story which u have written is it shows a bunch f unserious boys just living their lives aimlessly.it ill be good if u modify the story
