eddiebruk: Nobody is politicisng anything here bro, Port Harcourt has only recorded a few or rather 2 cases of Ebola, and all emergency response has been redirected to LASG, do you care to ask how much the LASG has spent on this issue since the outbreak, why should PHG making it an Issue already because they have spent 300M, and how true is this Figure..? We have to be factual about things like this and not just succumb to whatever we hear from State Government
Is Lagos the FG ?
Anyway , the FG government is useless and does not exist.

He lost me on that NC thing.
Lagos refusal of regionalism was tactical than any thing else.
In a few years time ,after the founding of odua states , you will know the reason why.
I am sure most people here cannot even name the delegates from Lagos .
They were probably the most intellectually equipped in that whole conference.
All the same , good article from agbakoba

However , in those 6 month, you never knew that nigerian can be so law-abiding
PoliticsRe: by oduastates:
1Obj.
2Murtala Mohammed
3 Buhari
4 Gowon

Low level stuffs
The worst is the fella there now. Buhari could easily have been number 1 but he spent a short period there. Obasanjo ruined it because of his politics in his second term.Murtala/gowon built most of the highways in Nigeria. Obasanjo /buhari built most of the refineries. Obasanjo brought Nigeria's telecommunications/banking industry into the 21st century.Buhari and Abacha gave the finger to those Breton wood organisation(IMF /world bank) . Obasanjo gave them the finger as well ,in his second term,by kicking out iweala who cannot supervise/vet an ordinary budget.

High level stuffs
You are talking about
Debts and debt management
Deficits
Budgeting and budget management
Foreign policy
Security etc
Those high level stuffs make the low level stuffs possible.
In fact, they are the most important.
I will cut you some slack if you do well with the high level stuffs and fail at the low level stuffs.
At least , the next person will have a strong base to build from
For example, Abacha ran a tight economic/fiscal policy but he destroyed it with his rampant looting and his despotism .
At least , he maintained those high level stuffs at the level they were when he got there.
Goodluck is a failure at all levels .
He is so bad that the Washington post treat him like a kid to be corrected every week.
No dispute.

Olumiland: first and foremost, "In summary, they are intelligence deficient." this is an obscurity that calls for clarification... I do not want to know if you are one of the la cram la pour university menace but my concern is ur enormous lack of uncommon sense which has literally degraded you to the point of posting hocus pocus on this blogoshere in the name of promulgating your naturally embedded illiteracy.....Had it been you are a student of federal poly ado, you wouldn't have foolishly and ignorantly spewed your comment... The students were aggrieved because of epileptic power supply, meanwhile, an hotel which belongs to Afe babalola uses light unceasingly.... #don't abuse the privilege of using nairaland# SHALOM!!!
Hmm.
Think properly before you reply.
The person to whom you are replying ,is operating at a much higher thinking level than you .
Like he said, when did Afe babalola become the Natiional utility company.
You ,the students and every person who thinks like you ,are the reason why there is no electricity.
Virtually all Nigerians fall into this category because you all seem to take mediocrity as the new normal.
I will now take you an elementary level if you are not following.
They should be protesting the FG and not Afe babalola .
This is the problem .
People are incapable of channelling their anger and identifying the real problem.
These are suppose to be a critical part of our society.
The elites in terms of knowledge ,wisdom and intelligence .
They are suppose to lead the way for the less literate and illiterates
More like the so called activist fighting for okada not to be banned.
The FG is the entity with the responsibility to provide electricity.
Whether there is generator/diesel or not is relative to the fact that the federal government is the problem

Incompetent and corrupt Federal government
|
Corrupt and incompetent regulators
|
Useless ,incompetent and corrupt private power companies fronting for thieving politicians
|
Lack of power infrastructure
|
Anarchist and vandalism
|
Afe Babalola .

At the end of the day , only the FG has the capacity to solve the problem. But she can't because she is the cause.
Like he said, if they had any intelligence at all, they will be protesting for the power to regulate the power sector , to be returned back to the states and region.
The SW.Is ready to fire with the investments ,technical know-how,managerial expertise to run her own independent energy sector.

IGBOSON1: ^^^I'd like to take you up on your assertions! No trying to wriggle and blag your way out of what you assert here as being true!!:

1) Can you mention the ethnicities that make up this Niger Delta you talk of?

2) Can you flesh out your claim a bit on Biafras terrorism in the Niger Delta? Who carried out said terrorism....when was it carried out......and who exactly were the victims?

3) You made mention of Igbos changing the names of Niger Deltan 'geographical space' into Igbo sounding ones; can you mention the ethnicities this was done to; what the original name/s was, and the new one/s Igbos forced on them; and also, kindly mention the language these people speak!?

4) On 'killing their civilians and subjugating/disgracing their leaders': Can you cite instances? Just so we can compare and contrast with what they've been through at the hands of your precious 'Nigeria'!

5) Finally, can you mention the lands Igbos took, and from whom? And while you're at it, maybe you could list the lands/resources of this Niger Delta you speak of that Igbos appropriated or sold off, so we can see how it stacks up against *Nigerias (* read Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba) rap-sheet!?

Cheers! smiley

PS- Please number and answer the questions as i listed them!
The problem with you folks is that you are almost universally insular because of how you get your news and how your society is structured.you get a few mavericks here and there but there is a predictability that goes beyond stereotyping.Next time you meet an elderly person from ND,ask them what your folks did to them during the war.what about the people of southern cameroun who chose to leave Nigeria rather than being saddled with your folks' baggage.
You picked up on many point in my post.
I will not help .you either live with the hand -me -down market square gossip or read up on what others who were not emotionally involved in the conflict ,wrote.
But everything I wrote here are historical facts. In fact ,the first time I heard of the killings done by Biafran was from an elderly calabar woman who went through the ordeal .whole village burnt, men forcefully conscripted or killed if they refused.
I have done a lot of reading on this matter.
By the way ,what happened to the thousands of Nigerian POW captured by the biafrans?
War crimes cuts many ways ,you know.

There are reports from
missionaries
People who came on humanitarian visits
Global Security companies .
Mercenaries who fought for Biafra
Foreign Governments
Diplomatic dispatches
UN genocide investigators.
You can find them and read up.
Numerous books non-Nigerian books on this matter and many references to the war in publications .
Were war crimes committed ?
No war has ever being fought without war crimes being committed.
Who starved Biafran ?
Ojukwu and Biafran elites did. They turned women and children into propaganda prop .

Sincere9gerian: The rants of a sore loser. When people now rightly accuse Tinubu attack dogs like you of supporting Boko Haram, you'll begin to foam at the mouth. Besides ranting from the discomfort of your hell hole, what else have you contributed to the war on terrorism? If you think you can do it better than those currently in the battle field, what stopped you from enlisting in the army just to show how things could be done better?

Nigerians are very good at flexing muscles when it comes to exercising the the mouth and ranting but when it comes to real issue of GETTING THINGS DONE, they'r missing in action. For instance, I recall that when the ebola issue broke out in the country and volunteers and experts where needed to get certain things done, people were no where to be found. But all of a sudden, when the ebola crisis seems to have been effectively curtailed, 'experts' from different quarters are emerging to join the fray and add their VOICE to the DEBATE on school resumption date. That is Nigeria for you
How far omokri?
Deluded monster.
Ebola ?
One : what has your master(FG) done in term of Ebola preparedness in let say ,jigawa or Bayelsa state.

Tackle Boko haram ,your master is MIA
Prevent Ebola from getting into Nigeria - MIA
To curb Ebola - MIA
To bring #bringbackthegirls -MIA
To bring Boko Sponsors to justice - MIA
Protect the citizens - MIA
FIght corruption - MIA

( MIA : Missing in Action)

All they do is
LOOT LOOT LOOT ,LOOT

Lest I forgot, the minister who hangs around the door of the LASG in order to eavesdrops on the latest development and subsequently jumps in from of the camera.

APContherun: Almost a quarter of the land in Nigeria? Please can you tell us the areas they control that make up this your one quarter of Nigeria?
It's very shameful the way phoolllss like you lie openly and brazenly on public fora, when did a few and tiny hamlets not populated by up to a thousand people equate to a fourth of Nigeria? You must think every Nigerian is as deceptive, slimmy and pathetic like you lying monsters.
Do you realise that apart from borno ,many villages and towns in the north east /MB are under the fear of the invisible hands of Boko haram.
From adamawa to yobe ,from yobe to katsina ,benue ,plateau and kaduna .that many go to bed with one eye open.borno alone is 1/10th of nigeria's entire landmass. The Nigerian state lacks any form of effective control beyond maiduguri .
Boko haram roam freely in most of the hinterland of the north east .

So you take your rant elsewhere and move on.
PoliticsRe: Why The Quiet on the Routing in Kanduga?- Reno Omokri by oduastates: 10:07pm On Sep 13, 2014
Should we be hailing the government for the fact that boko haram still controls almost a quarter of the land in nigeria.Or are we talking about the over 100,000 nigerian refugees in Niger ,Cameroun and chad.
Or are we talking about the millions of displaced people within the country.
People with shattered dreams because their loved ones have been taken away.
Reno omokri and the likes are jonathan biggest enemies.
Not just because talks like this demean the presidency, the fact that it is coming from a presidential aide makes it even more unacceptable.Especially from someone nobody voted for but who is getting salaries from the public purse .
The only thing they are interested in ,is to remain in the corridors of power.
When the next man comes along, they will move on.

The black scorpion rescued Biafran children from the starvation which the Biafran elites like ojukwu and Achebe, were putting through when you bare in mind that ,the war was already lost within the first 12 months.
The black scorpion rescued the Niger delta from biafran terrorism.
From the killing civilians, subjugating and disgracing their leaders , taking their lands , changing the names of their geographical space into Igbo sounding ones , the black scorpion's effort was duly appreciated by the liberated. This greed all because of oil, power and wealth.
He retired from the military and lived a life of honour and dignity.that is unlike others who went ahead and destroyed what we fought for.
The nigerian state simply turned into what led the biafrans to want to seize the Niger delta in the first place .
An insatiable greedy ogre for oil and a covetous monster for other people's properties.
My hope is that his family would not allow the Nigerian army and all the corrupted institutions of governance anywhere near his funeral.
Colleagues at the war front ,yes
But definitely not the Nigerian army.
Substitute them with hunters and palace troops.
By the way ,no one cares whether the FG. Or any outsider honours him. Oyo will honour him.
And with time,we shall scrub off all those foreign sounding names of nobodies from all the monuments ,roads, bridges etc and replace them with the true heroes and individuals who have worked hard for the betterment of the odua nation.
