PoliticsRe: Protesting Workers Shut Edo Govt House Over Unpaid Salaries by oduastates: 9:03am On Oct 31, 2014
SLIDEwaxie:
a yoruba adage says:

The kid in house died, u say make dem no feed the elders. Shey na the elders kill the kid ni?

The point is, because dem mess up finances for abuja, make workers no eat for edo abi? Na dem spoil finance ni?

If he can't pay up, he shld cut down his cost of governance, resign or cut down the size of working staff...

As finance no good from Abuja, he no dey eat abi he no dey collect his own salaries or daily allowances?
Cut the size of government.
The meat to cut out of Edo state is the civil service itself. The civil service salary accounts for most of the recurrent expenditure . You are talking as if the Nigerian civil service is that reasonable. They would rather have the whole budget spent on salaries with no capital expenditure .as if government is for the typical, 25,000 strong ,Nigerian state civil service where there are 6 million other citizens to be taken care of .
If Abuja is not paying the state , where should the governor get the money from.
Even amaechi from the rich Rivers state has had to dip into his rainy day fund.

All of you replying my comments are all slow pokes like your TANidiot masters.
Are the states getting their allocation on time ?
Are they getting the right amount based on crude sales?
Is the federal government not making illegal deductions ,which are not being reflected in any other account.
Are the country's finances not messed up because of the fall in crude prices, the corruption and the mismanagement of NNPC?
Is the CBN not wasting what is left of OBJ foriegn reserve to defend the worthless naira?
Is the government is gradually running out of money especially if oil prices continue falling?
Call me when you get the answers .
IN Fact , call me when the naira start exchanging for N300
Yeye
Most of you have no clue of what is about to hit you if current trends continue.
PoliticsRe: Protesting Workers Shut Edo Govt House Over Unpaid Salaries by oduastates: 8:01am On Oct 31, 2014
civil servant.
All they care about is salaries rather than shaping the country's future.
Why not take your protest to Jonathan, madueke and Iweala in Abuja, where they have completely messed up the country's finances.

At this time, no alarmist, optimistic or pessimistic opinion will change my views.
Nigeria as a country is finished.
It is only awaiting her burial. The looting spree easily confirms this.

These are the sort of pictures we use to see from central Africa ( Rwanda,Congo etc).
But we are not surprised because we have an Obongo in power.
PoliticsRe: Stomach infrastructure is a social security – Fayose by oduastates: 11:54pm On Oct 30, 2014
chinwike2:
The Fashola article on "stomach infrastruture" which was meant to insult Fayose is rather an insult to the MILLIONS in lagos slums that go to bed on an empty stomach. fashola should rather place physical insfrastruture side by side with his "stomach infrastruture article", lagos needs a FAYOSE in 2015
Most of those million in lagos slum can go back to where they come from.
Their poverty was not created in lagos. They should go back to where it was created. There is enough to cater for odua state citizens.
PoliticsRe: I Received My US Citizenship Today And I'm Unburdening My Heart About Africa by oduastates: 11:33pm On Oct 30, 2014
Welcome to the club. Got mine a few year ago but am back in odua states. I never shy away from flogging my friends whenever they paint an optimistic and rosy future for the animal called Nigeria.
Nigeria is worse than a jungle. Jungles have rules. A country were banning Street trading is being elitist to the masses. A country where enforcing environmental laws is being heartless.
I have travelled widely in my time. There is an innocence common to all the places I have been. That innocence is necessary to build an healthy nation.
Nigeria has lost hers. The country is doomed to fail completely.
PoliticsRe: Okonjo-Iweala And Nigeria’s Economic Health by oduastates:

PoliticsRe: I Am An Igbo But I Say No To Jonathan Presidency by oduastates:
You are probably just one of a few exceptions like pat utomi . You need to attain a certain level of enlightenment that enables you to break the primordial reflexes and clannish thoughts.
You have to be capable of seeing the larger picture to understand many things.
I will take obasanjo for instance. Obj was a bull in the China shop. For all his iniquities, many enlightened folks had hope of a brighter future. You know why? Obj's politics might have been as crude as they get but his monetary and fiscal policies were excellent. If Jonathan had maintained that level of performance,we would have been talking of a foreign reserve of 150 billion dollars today and an excess crude account of 60 billion dollars.
Nigeria' bank balance was such that the only thing GEJ had to do was build, build build;even with the distraction of boko haram.
If he can't build (which he isn't),the next person would have had an healthy position to build from.
However, what we have is not only a divided country but a broke/ broken country.
This is fundamental civic.
By the way, the SW could not care less whom anybody support or decide to vote for.
Many of us are already looking beyond Nigeria. You see the comments up there, the self centred one which sounds like " it is good for us, I don't care whether it is good for others". That is exactly what leads to Civil strife in a tribal society like Nigeria. This is because it is not going to last.
PoliticsRe: Will Africa's Black Spring Be Like The Arab Spring? Burkina Faso by oduastates: 9:55pm On Oct 30, 2014
There will never be a revolution in Nigeria .you will only get a civil war leading to dismemberment rather than a revolution. For some,Revolution is killing other people's elites .for others , it is doing nothing about their own elites.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Hints On Strategy To Tackle Boko Haram by oduastates: 9:52pm On Oct 30, 2014

How can they solve the problem when they are busy stealing the funds required to fight the terrorists.
PoliticsRe: I Go To Beer Parlours Every Friday – Fayose by oduastates:
Pathetic.
Anyone who has made any close observation of this fella knows that he is not only a thug, but also surrounds himself with like-minded fellows. He goes to beer parlours to cavort with his fellow thugs( the NURTW type). He has already started throwing gravel all over the place with camera in tow.

You get time o.why are you bothering to reply deluded and myopic people?
How much do they spend to build those tacky "mansion" of theirs. Anyone estimator conversant with the cost of construction in Nigeria knows all too well that the building is well within the price range.
My own grouse is the expectation of people that government is there to provide food for them rather them being the people to fund the government,in order for her to provide services.

PoliticsRe: Asari: Amaechi Betrayed Saro-wiwa & ND With His Pro-gambari APC Rally Speech by oduastates: 1:37pm On Oct 28, 2014
karlmax2:
Yesterday, I wept when I heard Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi at the APC/7years Anniversary Rally where he reeled out projects purportedly built by the buccaneering Gambaris to service their economic appetite for Niger Delta resources. The simple question is, how many of these projects have ever been headed by the Ikwerres, Okolobas, Ogonis, Ekpeyes etc. how many Rivers people are gainfully employed or doing business with these establishments. Every now and then, there has been this ritual of Turn-Around Maintenance in these establishment, how many indigenous companies have been engaged in these Turn-Around Maintenance. The cabotage law and the local content law is not local content of the Dumo Briggs of Kalabari or of the Olaka Wogu of Eleme or of the Ala Hart of Bonny or of the G.U Ake of Egi....It has been cabotage and local content for Dangote of Kano, Femi Otedola and Wale Tinubu of Lagos. This is what our jolly fellow CERELAC Tata boy wants us to celebrate.

Asari we know all this.ameachi and his gambari followers can only deceive those non Niger deltan miscreants and not the real people that know that the refineries is another way for them to enslave the people.ameachi should have also told us how many rivers people work
In these projects the gambaris established
You went,
Keep crying but Ameachi's words are still facts.

this list just embarrases your oga at the top even more... grin grin grin
what a shame!! most of those NDDC roads listed up there didnt even last 6 months before they failed.

list something tangible GEJ has done in rivers state and stop makinga fool of him... grin grin grin
Thank for educating the deluded OP.
PoliticsRe: Federal Government Projects In Rivers State List And Locations by oduastates: 12:09am On Oct 27, 2014
Project no 89 : construction of VIP toilet.

You simply cannot make it up.
Projects not fit for a local government chairman.
The funny thing is that most of these NDDC projects exist on paper only.
I know on good authority that the contracts for these projects were being sold on the street like when Abacha was in power.
Let me ask you a good question.
How are these ghost projects going to impact on a city/state (energy capital of a country) of that size?

After that,watch Ekwesili's videos.

Comparing him to Boris the clown? - Lagos needs its own Boris bikes then. grin

And he's from a minority tribe? grin

Fashola is a great administrator. However, he needs to tone down on the extreme capitalism tendencies. An egalitarian society has to be able to create a balance, and equality for all the people.

Anyway, has he compensated those he stole lands from? grin
Exactly the type we want out.
Lagos can be livable for rich and poor alike without pandering to the lawlessness /disorderliness of the average.
This fact is given further bite by simply comparing the serene Egun fishing settlements in badagry to the slum called makoko
