NYSCRe: A Yoruba Corper's Experience In A Rural Igbo Town by oduastates:
Good.
Regardless of what your experience was or has been , there is nothing special about it.
It is simply the way Africans relate with one another until there is a reason for them to kill each other.
Spending one year as a sacred cow of the FG ,in any part of the country, does not make you an expert in this field.
I think I am more qualified to give a verdict. To say that the citizens of the East are naive and gullible will be an understatement. Those everyday people you see are the good ones and they are naturally welcoming like every non urban dwelling african. However they have been pushed into a life of basic existence by their leaders that ,most have no choice but to migrate out of the East. You see , Hating on the Southwest and telling lies against the great Oodua nation is their only means of holding on to power. However there is no one out there to challenge them .The land exists on a feudal state of nature and the news hardly covers what is going on there.
We all saw the charade called the anambra election.
My advise to you is to keep abreast with current affairs . Do not be caught sleeping or should I say slipping.
Ko so bi to I da bi ile.

He has to plaster up the dirty and muddy world of the NA.
Morale must be boosted and sustained at the expense of loosing personal integrity and respect.

Not an easy one I must admit.
Transinformation agenda.

PoliticsRe: When I Listen To Some Statements … I Feel Sad For Nigeria – Jonathan by oduastates:
Error.
Fashola not Nigeria ,was able to fight ebola because Fashola assembled a competent team of aides ,with the assistance of the international community.

Where was he when ,

1 Fashola was reordering the state's budget to fight ebola( he did not go to the assembly to ask for funds,he simply looked at his budget and said "ok , some of these things are luxuries at this time of emergency. Those things could be a road here, or new uniforms for an agency"wink.

2 Fashola was leading from the front lines.

3 Fashola was designating quarantine centres
And sensitising the public.

4 Fashola /LASG had the foresight to pass laws which allowed anyone deemed to be a danger to public health,to be detained.let not forget the cremation bill which gave legal approval for bodies to be disposed by burning.the best way to get rid of an Ebola corpse.
I can remember that our usual short sighted folks were here crying murder.

5 what about the slums? The socalled useless activist, poverty hustlers were crying murder.if what is happening in Liberia is anything to go by,that risk is still very much alive

This man thinks we are stupid ,when LAGOS state was offering doctors between $250 - $500 per day to volunteer for ebola duty ,the FG was AWOL with the camera hugging health minister who was giving out useless updates ,and was busy claiming Ebola funds were for cars.
EVen casual observers know that the minister was a passenger in the vehicle being driven by LASG,medicin Sen frontier,THe American centre for disease control and the WHO.
Left to the clueless government, we will all be dying of ebola today just like Boko haram is killing the living shitZ out of nigerians.

I know where he was,
He was hiding in Aso Rock sponsoring some touts under the transmorphication embarassidiots of Nigeria .

He should tell us the hospital he built to fight ebola.maybe he thinks that those China made thermometer at the airports is the same as effective control of ebola.ebola has a gestation period of up to 3 weeks without the victim showing any symtom. Now tell me how those thermometers are effective . Even the British ,American etc know that it is not effective. The reason they are not pointing thermometer at visitors from nigeria at their airports.
Fashola will be the first to tell you that it is not time for celebration.
why didn't they prove their federal effectiveness in Enugu where they had to bring a suspected case to Lagos. The state simply lacked the capacity. This is difference between paying salaries ,awarding contracts and stealing the rest on the one hand and true governance. Ogun ,osun ,Oyo already have effective mechanisms in place to deal with the emergency and believe me , they won't be carting an Ebola case to Lagos.I understand that amaechi(the finest administrator East of that river ) has been doing a good job. He never shies away from mirroring fashola's approach and has been known to poach intellectuals and experts from Lagos. He would probably have done much better if he weren't saddled with too many delinquents.
A public health emergency and this deluded man thinks the N1 billion naira passes by the assembly was what prevented the spread.if that is the case, all the MAMSERS, YOUWIN,PEP,NAPEP should have solved Nigeria's problems a long time ago.
The federal government has had enough time to relieve the LASG and RSSG of the ebola burden by setting up equipped quarantine centres in all zones ,and away from population centres.Any show,p. No. MIA (missing in action).

This is leadership.Fashola doing the job of an absentee president.

PoliticsWho Killed The Ekiti NURTW Thug by oduastates(op):
You can see from the title that not only do I hate Nigeria's Union ,but I hate this particular one the most.NURTW is simply a union of thugs. The most hardcore /violent of the lot take over motor parks by force with the aim of collecting levies from vendor in the car park and daily loading charges from commercial drivers, usually with political backing( I spare no party).
While ACN Politicians keep a distance on these folk but tolerate them for their political support, PDP at least in the SW ,openly gallivant around with them.
As we all know, the purpose of a union is to protect the interest(welfare of her members). However this sense of purpose is absent in this particular Union. The money collected is simply pocketed by these Union thugs while their members live in poverty. The motor parks and bus station are typically an eyesore suffering from lack of basic amenities. Failure to comply to the whims and caprices of these thugs can easily lead to the death of the non compliant.

LET'S LOOK AT THE LIKELY SUSPECT AND THEIR MOTIVES FROM AN INVESTIGATIVE POINT OF VIEW.

The suspects

1 Fayemi
2NURTW ( faction currently controlling NURTW)
3NURTW (Fayose's faction)
4NURTW(a faction/factions without political support)
5 Anarchist (who simply wants to cause mayhem)
6 Fayose

1 Fayemi : very very unlikely .

Reason : Feels like killing a nobody because the nobody is going to take over a car park .Why should a very educated governor kill an inconsequential nobody? A union thug to boot .is it to became a union thug after his term.

2 NURTW(faction currently controlling NURTW) :very very likely.

Reason: The mere scent of a likely challenge to their authority is usually met with violence of the deadly force type.

3 NURTW (Fayose's faction) : very very likely.

Reason : The percieved closeness of one thug to the incoming governor could possibly have generated a jealous and murderous reaction from other ambitious thugs in his entourage who see an opportunity to position themselves for the incoming administration's feeding frenzy.

4 NURTW(without political affiliation) : Possible but unlikely and weak .
This has to be the weakest of the NURTW suspects. These thugs simply need political support to take over NURTW .

5 Anarchist : likely but weak
Reason : Someone who simply want to cause mayhem in the state .

6Fayose and his crew :very likely
I left this for last. Based on this man's antecedent and the antecedent of the PDP in the SW , This motive should be investigated . The killing of an inconsequential thug to generate the biggest reaction, in order to stall a court case is a very suspicious motive that investigators must follow.Basically, the biggest bang for the buck.Generate mayhem to stop court proceedings .
It is obvious that Fayose was looking for ways to disrupt the court case against him; including invading a court premises and supervising the beating of a justice of the court.
While the state remains In a turmoil, the court case has been stalled and he is buying time until handover date.

For me, my suspects are 2,3 and 6 . Cerebral people never go about killing people. Their good work speaks for them. They also do not parley around with thugs ,illiterates and clueless people.they are usually above the fray.
I look forward to the day when this useless union and other like it ,are finally proscribed in Odua states. The money these thugs pocket on a daily basis should be going toward building modern motor parks ,bus stations and buying new buses ,taxis and accident insurance for their members.
Many of these motor parks rake in hundreds of millions and probably billions on an annual basis. These monies should be going into the coffers of the state and not the pockets of thugs.
The politician who use and support them must cease and desist.Thugs have no place in the corridor of powers in yorubaland.
All politicians are guilty of feeding these touts.
PoliticsRe: Any Explanation For The Sudden Success Of The Military Over Boko Haram? by oduastates: 5:29pm On Sep 28, 2014
They were unable to deliver the latest consignment of arms and ammunition to Boko haram because, South africa seized their plane.
Also ,the cameroun was provoked to launch an incursion into nigeria.
PoliticsRe: LASTMA: 50k Ticket And 10k Towing Vehicle! by oduastates:
ratiken: You APC clowns are the EVIL in dEVIL. So this is all you can say to a man with an important function tomorrow. And his fault is that his car broke down on the highway. In saner climes, he is offered help; in your fashola's lagos....he is slammed a fine.

Fashola is the biggest fraud in Nigeria's democracy (not Tinubu)
I would not have bothered with replying you.
You are the typical low information voter who votes thugs and criminals.
What saner clime are you referring to?
He will be told the same thing and I telling you from experience." Move your car".
At best ,they will give you time to remove it (.at worst, they will bring their own removal vehicle and charge you for the cost.
However a spat will never be tolerated.
It will land you in jail or a criminal record.
It is your word against that of the officer but the onus is on you to prove that the officer was wrong.
By the way ,why am I bothering to reply this moronn?

A typical saner clime regulation

Statutory removal

Statutory removal means that a traffic officer or police officer can legally require a vehicle to be removed.

The motorist present will be charged the cost of the recovery. If the vehicle has been abandoned, the owner will be identified and charged the cost of recovering and securely storing their vehicle. The vehicle will not be released until the charges have been paid. Recovery charges are laid down by the Home Office.

Your car, motorbike or other vehicle may be subject to statutory removal if:

you are unable to arrange your own vehicle recovery within a reasonable time
your vehicle recovery arrangements are unsuitable or unsafe
your vehicle has been abandoned
your vehicle is in a live lane and it is not possible to clear it to safe area
your car has been moved to place of relative safety, such as the hard shoulder, but in the opinion of the attending traffic or police officer, is still causing an obstruction or has the potential to cause danger to other road users
Traffic officers:

must be present at the scene to invoke their statutory powers of removal
must check if possible whether suitable private recovery arrangements have been made before deciding to implement statutory removal
act under the authority of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles (Traffic Officers) (England) Regulations 2008.

Overzealous law enforcement.welcome to the law.yes ,the law can be a bit.ch.
your friend's fault here.your friend gave them justifiable cause to tow your car.
They wanted a reaction and your friend gave them .
without them ,your tow van would have taken 5 hrs to get to you ,not 30 sec.
My cousin almost went to jail in America ,for a situation not too dissimilar to yours.obstruction and disorderly conduct was the charge and this could have been easily thrown at you .
I think nairalanders in the diasporas can explain it better.
