Christianity EtcRe: Should Churches And Mosque Be Made To Pay Tax To Boost Nigeria's Economy? by oduastates:
These pentecostal business centres should be made to pay the highest punitive tax rate possible.
Only the clueless and the brainwashed " not my portion" zombies will argue against.
They are doing so much damage that if possible, their books should be examined and if any misappropriation is discovered ,they should be penalised.
The only thing they are good at is opening branches all over the place to vacuum resources from local communities.
Who can forget the harvests and special donation events organised by the old generation churches( Catholic, Anglican, Methodist etc) to fund local development?
From beautiful schools where the poor get sound education to hospitals and orphanages.
Not one or even ten of my friends' children attend such school free of any charge and funded from donations by the local congregation and the neighbourhood.
Obviously not in Nigeria because the Christians have gone insane.
Those type of churches still exists.in the developed world that is.

The wrong thought process, the wrong values.
South Korea or China and this woman will be facing the firing squad.
The semi literate jackboot also known as Obasanjo was able to protect most of the country's nest egg from vultures and even had the consciousness to implement many patriotic policies.

PoliticsRe: Religious Organisations It's Role In Fomentation Of Our Failures As A Nation by oduastates:
Religion is the biggest scam bequeathed to humanity .
What passes for christainity and Islam is a repackaging of ancient Egyptian pagan belief, lore, myths and religion.
Like the cocoa and crude oil that are processed and resold to us, You can hardly find cultural markers in the Bible or koran that a modern sub Saharan Africa can relate to.
While the European, Arab or indigenous black Egyptian/ Libyan can relate to olives, dates etc, I am sure that 99.9% of Nigerians would not know what the chocolate tasting date fruit looks like.
Why is this important?

It is important because an unseen, unverified and unverifiable event is taken as evidently true ;hook line and sinker.
Someone travelled thousands of miles to come and tell you that he has found your Lord and saviour. He said that person performed a lot of miracles and walked on water ( story stolen from Egyptian god osiris).
Without local objections or witnesses, you say that it is true.
While Islam has been responsible for massive genocides, enslavement, theft of land( still happening today), cultural appropriation and historical appropriation and disharmony, christainity has enslaved thousand of minds thereby leading to a lack of fight.

Now to something I can relate to. Nothing religious about this Just historical narrative of what happen

FACT : In the history of the black man, the yoruba orisha ESU( The god of the crossroad) saved more lives in south America, during the trans atlantic slave trade than jesus or mohammed.
The slave masters in Brazil were so scared of the blacks calling Esu that it caused a lot of social changes and won them significant freedoms.
Esu to the white slave master meant a slave revolt imminent .This led to reduction in their hardships.
That fear made the blacks to elevate Esu from a lesser orisha to one of the foremost orisha.

I do not do religion and but I do look at their philosophy.
I can relate to the concept of

crime and punishment
Good citizenship
Sense of community
Civic responsibility from an humanist point of view.

What I cannot accept is when a statistical possibility is used by pastors and imams to defraud their congregation.
You do not need prayers to get a job.
There is a statistical probability you can get a job, become successful, become sick, become well etc.
Another part is the use of the fear of heaven and hell to pick the pockets of mugus.

The "row the boat faster", trojan horse argument.
The writer should simply say that he loves corruption.
He disguised his attack on buhari's anti-corruption war by attacking prof sagay.
What should he more concerned about?
The battle against corruption vs the process.

They should tell her to get to hell.
Until people realise how Backward those 2 religions are.
One example
Today, a woman baring her chest in a shade , by the river side or in a moment of Leisure is regarded as a prostitute.
Whereas, our forefathers openly flaunted and celebrated their sexuality in private, during festivals, breastfeeding etc
The woman's breast was regarded as something for feeding the baby.
Even today, breastfeeding in public is frowned upon in Europe and America.
The breastfeeding has become an object of pleasure.
The Europeans are just getting to this level of civilisationand the arabs are stuck in the stone age.
The Arab's case without oil would have been worse than Africa's
Unfortunately we are stuck with the garbage they left us.
PoliticsRe: We Are Repositioning Odu’a Investment As Tool For Economic Growth In S’west by oduastates:
simplycarro:
Re admitting Lagos back to the O'dua fold is just the most sensible way forward.
Development of the SW should transcend political affiliation.
Lagos was never a part of the odua investment. The lagos as you think of it today never existed.
Lagos was deliberately left out as part of an overall strategy.
Lagos has swallowed a series of towns and farming settlements.
The national capital territory which the British leased did not extend beyond yaba and somewhere close to lekki .From yaba onward was the western region.
This was the reason why ibadan was Regarded as the largest city in West Africa even though lagos was already bigger ( if you use today's definition of lagos)
It also played well with the gedegbe le ko wa and shortsighted conservative folks.
Because of the proximity of the hostile federal territory, long term projections made it necessary to exclude lagos . Even though most of the investment were in lagos.
However all the benefit of membership were extended. Like university admission, bursaries, scholarships etc.
Even today, most lagos indigens get their education in state universities in the other western states.

Kemi ain't going nowhere.
For the first time in a very long time, we have an accountant in charge of the country books.
Economic direction?
Direction ko, erection ni.
Do you think we are still in the era of the clueless otuoke fisherman who allowed himself to be bamboozled by an equally incompetent and unpatriotic Iweala?

Economic direction will given by those constitutionally authorised to do so. The national economic council.( NEC)
The president and his team, the governors, the CBN and other agencies of government whose job it is to handle Revenues
Kemi's Job is to do the government's account, find the money to enable the government to execute her policy and follow the money once it goes out.
Or wait, do you expect buhari to give the entire economy to a graduate in agriculture like Jonathan once did
PoliticsRe: Ambode Welcomes Admission Into Odu’a Group by oduastates: 12:50am On Jan 21, 2016
Odua investment Need to put on their thinking cap. N20 billion annual revenue is chump change considering the spending power of the odua nation relative others in the country.
The strategy must include the dawn commission and politics as well . Right now,a potential multi billion tourism industry is basically dormant and will remain unattainable for reasons which are not local to the region.

Fashola and the lagos commissioner of health were the brain behind it all.Even the money voted for fighting ebola was only released when ebola had already disappeared.
Or you think we cannot remember when the enugu ebola suspect was transferred to lagos.
They should have moved that person to Abuja. Abi no be there national hospital dey.
PoliticsRe: Why Do SW/SS Region Receive Highest Revenue Allocation In Nigeria by oduastates: 9:37pm On Jan 19, 2016
cktheluckyman:
How much revenues does Ekiti,Osun,Ogun,Oyo contribute to the national purse? You yorubas have started again!!! If it were to be in a business world, states like Osun would have long filed for bankrupcy.
Ekiti, ogun, oyo are states

You should ask how much the
Ijebus, ilaje, eguns, egbas, Ijeshas etc contribute.
You should head off to idiiroko, head off to ese odo, head off the the ibadan customs office, head off to obajana, head off to sagamu, head off to tin-can and the taxes collected from the export of cocoa, head off to all the owambe and the VAT they contribute on a daily basis, head off to the inland revenue service on the taxes they collect from corporate omoluabis.
The taxes from the London route alone dwarfs every other route put together.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Has Given So Much To The Igbo Nation, Why Do Some Of Them Wish Her Bad? by oduastates:
woodcook:
First and foremost I will assume that you have acquired some form of education or maybe still in the process.

I am only going to comment on this post for the purpose of the young ones who are going to read it, so they can start at a very young age to learn how to think and make logical argument. It seems most Nigerian youth are bad at engaging in critical thinking.

That aside, firstly I am going to take your bait and play 'sand-sand' play with you :what do you mean by successful? Because being successful connotes different things to different people. Going by the names you picked out, for every P-Square or Mikel that grew up outside the East there are Flavor, Genevieve, Phyno etc that grew up in the East. For every Ojukwu and Zik there are notable men there are people like Soludo etc that grew up in the East.

Talking about environment, if you have ever step a foot outside where you have been holed-in all your life, you would know that there is no better place to raise kids and imbibe the spirit to conquer and take the world by the balls than in the East. Those that came to Lagos to hustle already had their instinct nurtured and cultured back home from the streets of the East. Forget the noise in Lagos go down there and try out your survival instincts, compete with youths your age on daily survival skills and you will come back to testify (na then you go know say 3 into 3 places na 9).

On a serious note before you come up with a conjuncture like this do a little finding (stop being lazy your mb is not only to watch porn grin) and always top such write up with concrete data. Concrete data and verifiable facts helps a lot.

This part is for all Yoruba youths out there. I am advising most Yoruba youths of this generation not to be like the past generations. You people should leave your 'hole' for once, travel around Nigeria. Go to the North, go to the East, go to South-South. Spend weeks or even months living there and you will get to learn that there is a world outside Lagos. Nigeria does not start and end in Lagos. Being educated does not clean up ignorance, you can be educated and still ignorant. From my experience when it comes to knowing Nigeria and Nigerians, I think the Yorubas are the most ignorant just as most Americans are about the world outside the US of A. Some of you many find it insulting but truth as to be told. The tides are changing it is time you leave your comfort zone, go out learn more about Nigeria and Nigerians, and your approach to issues will never be the same. You can ask those that happened to leave the SW for the first time during their NYSC year how ignorant they realized they were? London is never Nigeria and will not make up for your ignorance about your own country and its people. Stop using Lagos as a gauging scale Lagos is not and will never be the ideal environment to learn about the people of Nigeria.
There you have another pathetic assumption. The assumption that yorubas do not go out of the zone when in actual fact, the seeds of omoluabis is far more well spread than any ethic nation on this planet.
When exactly did igbos discover that there is a huge world beyond their shores?
From the born omoluabi who is indistinguishable from an hausa in sokoto, that the only cue was his ancient oyo dialect to the Rapper in Russia who front as an American.
Whereas you guys refuse to integrate, omoluabis whereever they are, lie low and learn the ways of their host. Most often that not, the giveaway is usually when they gather in groups and become noisy.
A typical omoluabi instinctively and carefully measures his environment, calculates the risk associated with that environment and takes actions based on that. That environment includes the people associated with it.
Tens of thousands go on NYSC every year. Many spend that year moving about those states chasing skirts around those states.
The emerging professional middle class go on post graduate studies wherever they can find them, many go on vacations to exotic places.
I remember the conference call last year organised by various omoluabi group last year.
This was at the height of Jonathan's abuse of power.
Detaining opposition member
Stopping planes from landing
Rigging elections in ekiti

The Jonathan and his goons were carefully measured and the decision based on the careful study was That,It was good that there were omoluabis in both political party despite the obvious threat of Jonathan to the homeland and his mission of trying to install thug in positions of power.
What about all those bus drivers who traverse the length and breadth of the country on a daily basis and who maintain homes in more than 1 place?
Are we talking about the tomatoes seller who makes regular weekly trips to kano?
A study on crime was run about 2 years ago and the outcome was that,
Omoluabis prefer to be robbed by yoruba armed robbers than anyone else. Just based on the sheer amount of violence typically used.
That says a lot without even scientifically breaking down the study.
We have a perfect measure of every technic group in Nigeria. Every single one. for convenience sakes, we lump people from contiguous location together does not mean we have no clue about those places.

PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Jumping From Frying Pan To Fire? by oduastates:
Bevista:
OBJ left over $60bn in FR and another ~$20bn in ECA. When you consider that he paid out $12bn to Paris Club to write-off our $30bn debt and the fact that the average oil price during his tenure was under $60pb, then you will appreciate the irresponsibility and recklessness of the Jonathan administration.
Like the great recession in America, there were cues to the fact that the Nigerian economy was being mismanaged.
Even if you missed the fact that the London, new York investment banks were piling into commodities and creating a bubble in commodity prices.( The price of staples led to the the start of the Arab uprising), you cannot but miss the fact that some of the ridiculous salaries being paid for jobs regarded as clerical work elsewhere were on the high side. Many Nigerian repatriates came back home to pick some of those jobs. excessively paid for no jobs.
When the incomes of a country whether private or public is not being effectively deployed, you can expect only
One outcome.
For example one of the cue before the American great recession was that, a $350,000 house bought by someone who could not afford a mortgage could only be rented out for less $500. In many cases, they could not even find tenants because those tenants too had a mortgage they could not afford.
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria Jumping From Frying Pan To Fire? by oduastates: 6:48am On Jan 19, 2016
grandstar:
GEJ does not own this baby.In 2009 when the price of oil sank to $35 from 148 the previous year, there was $60b in the foriegn reserves and $20b in the excess crude funds.

This did not still stop a devaluation of the naira from 120 to 150.

Buhari refuses to devalue despite strong market signals. That has fed excessive demand at the official rate which can obviously not be met. That has compelled demand to rise at the parallel market leading to a crash of the naira in that market. Soludo and Buhari have both condemned Buharis statist economic policies. The naira should touch 400 by year ending. The economy is finished
In 2009, Nigeria had a total foreign reserve of $64 billion that the Obasanjo government saved starting from $16 a barrel .22 billion dollars out of the amount was the excess crude account.
In 2009, before Jonathan's hand of corruption ran the economy aground, we had only 6 oil importing companies. Within a year, they ballooned to close 70.almost all the new comers his hand of corruption.
In 2009, Nigeria had almost no foreign debts.
Someone( obj) paid them off when oil was selling for $30 a barrel.
In 2009, men without any visible source of income were not riding about in private jets.
Before 2009, fresh graduates were walking into hundred of thousand of jobs in banking, insurance, telecommunications, leisure etc
