Amberon:Just like it account for 100% of Lagos budget abi? You haven't been paying attention. |
Going to church or mosque everyday of the week does not make you Godly |
Tons than almost killed off this project |
More like designed and built . Kudos . |
Starting from the leaders. This is tomatoes rotting away in the north . Below it is a small time shoemaker who makes about 400 shoes a year in akure .Yet unpatriotic quacks like Okonjo Iweala opened the flood gates to the importation of foreign subsidised tomato paste , thereby sending local growers and processors into penury. She opened the flood gates to vegetable oil importation as well .

This was charity from Japan and it cost them only 15 million dollars. Imagine having 50-100 MW power plants installed in all the dams in Nigeria. Is it not shameful that it cost only 15 million dollars to completely overhaul one of the oldest power plants in the country? Imagine what could have been achieved during the oil boom. imagine how much it would have cost if it had gone through the normal route of corruption . |
My favourite Nigerian . |
In those 2 years , these people must have donated money that is enough to light Nigeria to their pastors. |
SirShymexx:look at the picture with tinie tempeh. Night video shoot in Lagos and an international superstar means that there are policemen around . Probably Mopo. Okadaman see mopo and lights ,turns back saying I no want mopo 50 50 naira trouble The okada turns back. Meanwhile a breadseller sees the gathering and an opportunity to sell her wares . The mopo , okada and bread seller scene plays out 247 on the street of Nigeria. Hawkers are the noisiest set of people in that country |
Someone should tell her man to ease up. Someone should get them a guardian and counsellor . On another note, this girl might blow up. Not only on the Nigerian scene, but internationally. The world loves this kind of story and the makeover pictures I am seeing show the potential makings of a super model. All depends on her handlers though. |
These Fulani nomads are an existential threat to the country. |
Why are these people turning up on our shores? The last time was the IMF chair. They are afraid that Nigeria is going full- mode protectionist. No benefit to free trade when all the trade is in one direction . Them selling and we buying all their subsidised garbage thereby costing us good manufacturing jobs , good value for our currency and a chance to become second or first world. Poultry and crops like tomatoes, oranges and pepper would have been major income earners for Africa. We have the competitive advantage. But this is not so because of the trade distorting , anti-competition farm subsidies in the US and the EU . Let not forget all those so -called unpatriotic worldbank "expert" who sell their people down the drain. I hope Buhari does not bend . |
Flexherbal:I am waiting to see how long it will take them to pass the bill. Nigeria has over $600 billion stashed overseas by her corrupt businessmen and politicians . |
The least that we deserve We are feeding all of ya right now most of Nigeria's oil is offshore It cost an average of $30 to produce . Oil is selling at less than $30 a barrel |
The writer has more sense in his head than all the brainwashed so-called world bank experts. |
Great loss to Lagos state |
Paper certificates does not give you the prerequisites skills to govern or lead For me , the most underrated skill is power of knowing your shortcomings and finding true leaders to fill up those gaps . Not a few of Nigerian policians are incompetent but they think that they are the greatest ever. |
Ben has been in the public eyes of the SW since like forever. He was once an object of interest due to his maverick and exotic way . But once he got into politics and the deal that went down in NTA. The guy interest become that of suspicion. The contracts for the supply of equipment for Nigeria 99 world ,the building of 2 NTA per state was the cover used to rob the country blind . From one crappy Pizza 4 x4 , this guy suddenly had the money to build a massive cinema , radio and television station within a short period . He can only impress gullible villagers and clannish people . But to those without the baggage , he is a nuisance on Twitter. None of his idea are original . He should go out and lead 1 million man man to call for the slashing of the National Assembly's budget and allowances. |
Obasanjo granted a one time waiver to the telecoms industry to aid the development of the industry. Those waivers were for the capital intensive equipments after they complained about the price they paid for licences. |
In bad taste if you asked me. Why not within Nigeria? |
African nobama Always proposing ikoyi solutions to ajegunle problems. No wonder proposed 2 rubbish NTA stations per state when he was DG |
Horlufemi:The Nigerian economy was already in recession as far back as 3 years ago . The whole thing was simply masked by high oil prices. You are only paying for the mismanagement now. |
One thing for sure , Jonathan has eaten the Eastern Region's turn. Northern region is enjoying right now Next time when it comes to the western region , we may decide to give it to Oshiomole |
It is not hard . Most of them are corrupt . Use the code of conduct agency and make them explain their sources of income . Just let them hang themselves. |
Iroh88:A nation |
TI lost credibility like every other institution under Jonathan. A clannish youth has been the TI Nigerian resident commissioner for the past few years. The one , who during an interview, no one asked ,but was compelled to tell us that he had less than $5000 in his account. Guilty conscience? Even in the midst of 1 fuel subsidy fraud 2 Tranfigura fraud 3 Malabu fraud 4 Excess crude account fraud And all other manner of fraud never seen in the history of the country. They claimed that the Nigerian Index was improving . Who are they deceiving ? I have no doubt in my mind that the index in the last few year were fixed, bought and paid for . Nigeria is the most fraudulent country in the world and Buhari, if he thinks is has started fighting corruption is a joker. |
Impeachable on what ground? The executive proposes the legislature disposes. The executive: "this is what I will like to do." The legislature : "this is what we will give you and allow you to do " |
Leader Ko , ladder ni. He is the leader of his clique and the politicians of the times. As long as he does not make a big mistake , he will be tolerated . |
SonOfEl:You want a list ? it is a pan- Nigerian list of useless, vain-glorious and unpatriotic lunatics. I have read interviews conducted with that billionaire woman , I was not impressed at all . In fact all of them quack the same way . From dangote all the way down to Fidelity. They are all wealthy but not that bright. |
None of the Niger- deltan that I know. The type who would not want to have anything to do with the Nigerian politicians . The type who are well groomed , well educated , decent and live a life of modesty, like any of their PDP politicians. All of them , bar none want the rule of thugs banished . I do not blame them if what you have are people who concentrate all their funding on thugs . |
They should all get their greedy and shortsighted eyes out of oil. In fact , the best thing would be to stop pumping oil period The amount of money spent on buying cars, riding private jets annually by all the politicians shows a bunch of unserious people. 1 Nigeria imports over $4 billion dollars of wheat. 2 I cannot name a single Nigerian chocolate maker. 3 About the only cornflakes maker that I know is nasco 4 We import the sorghum used to make beer 5 we import vegetable oil 6 we import tomato paste 7 we import rice 8 We import textiles and cotton 9 we eat too much ponmo 10 We import poultry products 11 we import milk 12 we import steel and aluminium product 13 we import petrol and diesel 14 we import fish in a country with thousands of fishermen We export almost nothing . Almost all stuffs we have a comparative advantage. The citizens should also stop handing their taxes to pastors . Contribute you tithes to your communities and use the money to build it up. Just yesterday, omojuwa was well on the way to raising $20000 for a us- based Nigeria student. That is what community based development can do for you. |
