@ ITL, Saala Orile is OK for Farming, but your price is not

If its not a dense forest, one needs to also pray that all the Nutrients in the soil are not gone cool

I don't know if I have Madam Jethro's permission to let u know this group already has offers within the range I mentioned, & we are still bidding further with COOP POWER, if u stay tuned long enough u will get the exact figures from the right quarters. Thanx cool

ITL: @ jethro2 : 35k/acre/yr
My friend please wake up, are you trying to sell the land? smiley

Which part of Aiyetoro?, I schooled in that village

Leasing of FARMLAND in the South West, ranges from N1,000 per acre in Osun, Ekiti & Ondo States to N2,000 per acre in Oyo & Ogun States (PLUS OR MINUS 50%)

Please are you in this business/country at all

It costs much to prepare the land for real farming, Palms & other trees has to be felled & their roots remooved so that tractors can work, without removn topsoil

All these become benefit to the owner later cool
PoliticsRe: What Do You Think Of This Ad From Osun State? by oduz:
liberty300: I got this newspaper pull-out based on the development in osun state.I was really excited and wanted to see how far the governor has gone but was really disappointed when I didn't see any pix based on the development.I just thought to myself, why waste so much money?
@ OP liberty300, it seems to me you have merely exhibited your liberty to lie,

You have done it so well that it is difficult for ANYBODY who takes a closer look not to believe that u have not been paid to do it

You independently chose to go to press to analyse a 16page publication with pictures, & u conveniently choose to avoid the 5pages that has the key FACTS/figures

You started with the front page, but refuse to show it as a double spread like you did to others, or merely show it as a different picture for us to see

For the benefit of other readers, the back page shows the developments in EDUCATION in comparison with the govts previous administration with data & graphs

U showed the pictures in double-spreads, but U censored the Center-spread which has facts & figures on FINANCE, AGRICULTURE,ROADS, SECURITY,HEALTH, etc

It was also convenient for you to skip the spread before the centerspread where the gentleman was interviewed & talked about 'Our Development vision for Osun'

My friend, if you are too busy to inform your countrymen, why go all out to mis-inform them, I hope you will desist from further insulting our intelligence

Please, kindly be fair enough to show readers the censored portions & let them genuinely express their THOUGHT as u have requested in your thread's tittle

You are one of those Nigerians who claim to be well travelled/exposed, but here you are a bad example, I've read some of your topics before, I'm disappointed here

Did you by any chance imagine that only you have the exclusive privilege to read a media material in public domain?

NOBODY is above mistake, but what u have done here is closer to a deliberate SIN, May GOD forgive U shocked
CelebritiesRe: Muhammad Ali’s Advice To His Daughters On Indecent Dressing by oduz: 8:40am On Jan 13, 2013
Techwriter: I started this thread on Nairaland since last week and it didn't make front page until it is made an islamic issue. Someone that did not read the book, copied my post and put it in an islamic website and it now made front page. Muslims should stop this copycating it is sinful; must u copy everything? Just read similar threads recommended by Nland above and u see my own with slight adjustment of title I gave it
osifred:

My friend get Ur facts right. Am a Christian. This thread has nothing I mean absolutely nothing to do with Christianity or Islam. I didn't see your thread before starting this. And yes I had to add reference/source because they are not my words and Ali didn't personally tell me.

What's with people and front page?

mu2sa2: Everyone should commend these words of wisdom. But the idle folks will as usual bring all sorts of sentiments into it. Thankfully Ali is not a nigerian otherwise ethnic bigots would hav had a field day hurling negatives at him.
@ Techwriter, Sorry your topic did not make it to front page, but is that enough reason for your wild assumptions? I will APPEAL to ALL to let Techwriter enjoy his massage in 'self-delusion'. This may be part of his jealously guarded new year resolution. For your information this event happened decades ago, I saw a poster made out of the issue in a private house in ILUPEJU Estate, about ten years ago, but more importantly I just heard from the publishers at a joint conference with the owners of the website, that you are the only man alive who has read the book, Pls can you Honourably step forward to receive your National award. Seun on behalf of your careless modes please hand over to him a bucket of ice cream for missing the front page in a 'mysterious' way lipsrsealed cool smiley cheesy grin

PoliticsRe: Before I Join Nigeria Politics As A Lady: Please Advice by oduz:
2 Kobo advice from a comPATRIOT

ALL the threats are MYTHS

They are also realities for all those that are naturally inclined

WOMEN are also faced with similar challenges, in many 'competitive' areas of human endeavour

Remember that all it takes for bad deeds to thrive is for good people to keep mute

If all else fails you may achieve your goals through a well orgarnised NGO

If my example is anything to go by, all I wanted to do was wrong the rights in my immediate community thro Campus Journalism

From here I was drafted into Students Unionism, where I made my mark in spite of repeated expulsions & variety of victimisation

Left Campus to get involved with the 'real thing' by opting to contest in the democratic setting

I got pushed off severally to 'step down' thro what we you will prefer to call the forces of 'Godfatherism'

Refused to loose focus on the need to change Society, & chose the path of 'volunteer adviser' to the few good ones in the corridors of power

Some of whom keep challenging my ideas in 'higher arenas' where I have had the opportunity to change the life of millions thro creative policies

ENOUGH said,

The struggle is still on till the masses of our people have free access to the basics of life, there is a wide vacuum waiting for great women

Great women with fundamental ideological understanding of the real needs of the common people, not necessarily gender or tribal warriors

The decision is yours, like Mohamed ALI said, his wining formular is not in the long hours of training in the gym, but from strong inner will

You can be bombarded with all the advice, myths and formulars, but the COURAGE to conquer in spite of all ODDS can only come from within you

Today I am covered with all the scars of long tortuous struggle,

But fulfilled in my conviction that it will FOREVER be better to light a candle than curse the darkness

I wish you all the best, whatever your decision is cool

BusinessRe: I Need Advise On How To Invest 10 Million Naira In Nigeria. by oduz: 2:11pm On Jan 08, 2013
Properties (easy to manage offshore)

Oil & Gas (Good & Fast returns on investment, but you need local partners that can be trusted)

Now that you have capital, you need to identify which of the 'lucrative' businesses relates to your innate passions, then develop/aquire more knowledge in that direction, finally seek trustworthy partners/platforms

Best of Luck cool
BusinessRe: What 2m Can Do To Fetch Good Returns On Weekly Basis by oduz: 9:04pm On Jan 07, 2013
chynzino: Oil and gas, tell me about it
Oil & Gas is demand driven, mergins are between 3-15% but volumes are high due to demand, a tanker load of petrol is 33k Ltrs and would be consumed in most urban filling stations in 1-3 days. Filling Stations are quite expensive to aquire where the markets are fertile, but a lot still grab them & are left with little or no Working Capital, thats where you come in;

A lot of Dealers will lure you to sell on credit, likewise industries want Diesel with weeks of credit, your best option is to have a lease arrangement with an INDEPENDENT, (you dump & man the pump collections)

The SAFEST is Kerosine, because if the Dealers fail u, the street retailers are there, if you maintain a good network in highly populated districts ...
much more later, my dinner is getting cold ....

Best of Luck cool
BusinessRe: What 2m Can Do To Fetch Good Returns On Weekly Basis by oduz:
ihedioramma: HOW CAN AGRIC GIVE US WEEKLY PROFIT ?
MARKETING, Yams are bought at rural markets in hundreds in Benue, Taraba etc. they could be sold in same numbers in Lagos within hours if you are contended with 25% profit after deducting all expenses (a trip takes 2-4 days). Of note is the fact that transport takes 30-40% But that is no excuse to buy your own truck otherwise you would be working for the Driver & 'Mechanics'. Retailing in less numbers could fetch larger mergins, but may take longer to sell, thereby requiring warehousing.

Palm oil can also be ferried from the South up North similarly, there are faster moving goods, but usually more perishable than the ones mentioned, so u need to weigh the Pros & the Cons but never forget the FIRST rule of Business ( Ensure you don't loose your Capital)

Best of luck cool

BusinessRe: A Cry For Help by oduz: 10:52am On Jan 04, 2013
Beware, if you dont have enough capital in the range of N1m, the costs will eat up all your profit because the mergin is very low, unless you have the advantage of selling above the fixed price. If YOU ARE patient & observant the emerging mobile money market will overun that market because the machines can also retail recharge cards amongst other things!

Best OF luck! cool
