Lol, see frustration, how can someone fabricate google earth image while google earth software is there for all to verify?? I don't think u know what google earth is. T.A orji allowed waste to accumulate in Aba and it has long been evacuated as u can see from my pics. Thank God u know there are only a few ghettos over there, but the whole yoruba town are ghettos. see pics
1. Ekiti
2. Sagamu
3. Ibadan
4. Oshobo
Leave trash for Lawma with your TA Orji sermonette. You cannot find or flash a dirty pix of any city or town in Yorubaland as is the norm in your enclave. We may have old and historic buildings still standing till this day but we are not dirty like you lot. Nope.

You are obviously trolling so I refuse to further engage you as advised by the OP. You all are renowned for your chronic low self-esteem, which causes you to perpetually see yourselves in our shadows. Hey, i would probably feel the same way too if i were in your shoes. undecided

that ur Ibadan thread is filled with UI buildings (federal property) pics only ..
Why not show us real IB pics?
Sigh. I know there's no pleasing you lot, and I am sure that if truly you went through the entire 14-pages of that thread (which is still the most comprehensive on the city) you'd definitely have seen more than UI buildings as you cynically claim. You surely must have missed the Agodi Gardens, shopping malls, cinemas, ultra modern estates and the likes. Here's a more recent one that also hit front page:

https://www.nairaland.com/2846660/welcome-ibadan-city-pictures

Now go there and find Ibadan pix and allow us enjoy this Lagos thread. Damn!

Continue living in the past, this is the present. we told u evacuation of waste is a simple thing and not compared with ur poverty induced rusted roofs.
Look, I am through with you and you ilk, thanks to the OP who appealed to me not to post any further dirty pix of that your hell-hole of a region. Recently one of your people hit FrontPage for showing Abia governor's visit to a few ghettos in that enclave. Needless to say that the whole world knows how the real Aba and Onitsha look. No amount of fabricated Google Earth images can change that.

cocoa house is the city center of Ibadan, any arial picture where it can not be seen is fake. This is Ibadan, with cocoa house clearly seen
Funny enough, that pix was taken in the 70s. You can see how clean that marketplace is, now compare that to these, and tell me how human beings (not pigs) can 'trade' and do 'business' in such filth, as evidenced in the picture? Only in Igboland.

are we quarelling?
Certainly not. The OP has every right to showcase Lagos. If you're not happy about that, that's fine .. but don't funk up the thread for the rest of us. Thanx.

I'll take that over these attached ones any day!!! We are not dirty, we may have lots of historic and old buildings, but we're not as dirty as you all. And whether you like it or not, Lagos is Yorubaland, even though I know the thought of that drives you all crazy but hey... deal with it.

Mr OP.. Federal Money was poured in Lagos as a former capital, Show us Ibadan the Western Nigeria Capital.
- or you show us Osogboo the capital of Osun state, the ancestral city of the western nigeria.
- I Rep. Asaba
Why should he show you Ibadan when there's a separate thread for that? ?

https://www.nairaland.com/2303392/recent-beautiful-pictures-ibadan-pride/1

Click on that thread and knock yourself out. This thread is about Lagos, and if your bad-belle is so much that you can't stomach it that's your problem. You people are so childish. Your envy and jealousy is assuming insane levels. Smh.

Ugonnax:
Op do you have conscience at all? Why are you showing us a city developed by whites, oil money and all Nigerians? Show us Ibadan, Ilesha, e.t.c.
If the OP who is a Yorubaman doesn't showcase the beauty of the collective Yoruba heritage that is Lagos, who else would show it? Igbos certainly won't, since and because you all know DEEP down that you have no REAL spiritual connection to Lagos -- you people even often call the city all sorts of derogatory names like 'nomansland', 'dirty', e.t.c, and resort to blackmail in response to the Governor's efforts to develop it. Therefore it's incumbent on Yorubas like the OP to showcase her to the world, irrespective of your bad-belle. If Lagos was by happenstance or providence in the SE and was 'developed by whites, oil money and all Nigerians' as you allege, una sef go do the same.
TravelRe: Photos: Check Out The Beauty Of Lagos State by ODVanguard: 6:18pm On Jan 16, 2016
MXrep:
Lol, wake me up when u replicate same over here. beuty of lagos ko, beauty of nomansland ni
Why is it that of all the ethnicities in Nigeria, Igbos are the only ones always pandering this 'nomansland' mantra? If it's not Lagos that you all are calling a 'nomansland', it'll be Abuja. Why? Don't you all have any iota of self-pride in your own region? Are you the only ethnic group in Nigeria? Or is it that you are wired to provoke animosity with your neighbours? I don't get it. huh Yorubas speak of Lagos with pride, showcase her beauty and history with gusto, recite eulogies and poems in reverence of her, and address her with affection. But the most Igbos can do is derisively address her as a 'nomansland', why? because you all have no spiritual connection to the land but are here to exploit and plunder her. If war breaks out tomorrow or there's a crisis involving Lagos, you all will pack your bags to flee to the SE, while the Yorubas will remain and fight for their land -- as happened during the June 12 crisis. Lagos is not and won't be a part of Biafra, neither is it in the SE region. It is and will always remain SW/Yorubaland. You all need to let that sink into your brains.
PoliticsWe Did Not Collect N50m From Dasuki’s Arms Deal Money – NGE by ODVanguard(op): 5:10am On Jan 07, 2016

— Jan 7, 2016 3:39 am

Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE), yesterday, responded to its alleged involvement in the sharing of the controversial arms deal fund, saying that it never collected any money from the office of the former national security adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki.

The professional media body said the N50 million they collected from the officials of the past government, was the public donation former President Goodluck Jonathan made on the 10th of April, 2015 during the public fund raising for the building of the Guild’s office; and that the redeemed pledge did not come from the office of the NSA

National President of NGE, Garba Deen Mohammed, said this in a statement issued to the press yesterday.

He said the NGE had on April 10, 2015, held a fundraising dinner at the Transcorps Hilton Hotel, Abuja, to raise N850m for the construction of a befitting secretariat in Abuja, to be called The Editors Plaza.

“It was a public event, attended by several dignitaries among them federal cabinet ministers, state governors and captains of industry or their representatives,” said the NGE president.

“Former President Goodluck Jonathan was invited to the event at which he was represented by the former Minister of Information and National Orientation Mr. Labaran Maku.

“At the event, Mr. Maku, among other donors, publicly pledged N50million as the federal government’s contribution towards the building project. Indeed the announcement of this donation has been on the website of the NGE since April 12, 2014; and is still there for those who may wish to verify.”

iSON inaugurates MTN call centre in Ibadan, targets 20,000 jobs

GOVERNOR Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has commissioned the ultra-modern customer care and skills development centre by iSON BPO, a global player in customer experience management operations, in Ibadan last week.

The elated governor assured the organisation of the government’s support while calling on other investors to avail themselves of the peaceful atmosphere and the level of infrastructural development that dot the landscape of the state to do business in the Pace Setters state.

Speaking at the event, the Group Chief Executive Officer iSON BPO, Pravin Kumar, said the company has employed about 4,000 Nigerian youths, and that 2,000 of these are in Ibadan, stressing that by March 2017, a 20,000 workforce was being targeted to reduce the unemployment rate in the state and the country in general.

Kumar said the company is committed to investing in Nigerian infrastructure as well as human capacity development with the long-term benefits of creating large-scale employment and engendering indirect local employment opportunities as well.

Kumar pointed out that due to its effective management of Airtel’s Call Centre, which is based in Ibadan that MTN Nigeria also decided to outsource its Call Centre operation to iSON. He said the commissioned facility has the latest technology and is comparable to any of its contemporary worldwide and is one of the four new call centres that iSON is setting up in Nigeria, namely Ibadan, Abeokuta, Ilorin and Kano.

“With these centres, iSON is assisting in alleviating the current spate of unemployment in Nigeria, as well as contributing towards valuable resource and capacity development in the country.

“As part of our core strategy, we have invested in developing state of art infrastructure and empowering local talent to foster a better future for the African continent

“We already have a call centre here in Ibadan which started with 1,000 employees in February, 2013 and now has around 1,200 employees. We made commitment with the governor when he inaugurated our first facility that if it does well, we will double our capacity in Ibadan.
