Family › Re: I'm Having Serious Issues With My Step Dad Please Advice Me. by odysey: 12:43pm On Aug 10, 2018 |
engrj: Greetings everyone.
Nairalanders please kindly advice me on how to handle this issue I’m about to share.
It’s about my step dad. I’m a product of a broken home. My mother trained me up independently; my mathernal grandpa didn’t allow my father to come close to me. So I rough life all alone. I was force to become a bachelor at the age of 19.
Now my story. My mother got married to another man 10 years now no child.
They both went for test, the man has low sperm count and my mum couldn’t see her period again after some years into the marriage maybe after 6 or 7 years. I’m not really sure about this but my mum told me.
In the process of trying to have a child my mother fell sick latter she was diagnosed of diabetes then hypertension it affected her to an extent she couldn’t walk well again for more than two years now. When she fell sick I was not aware cus my mother was this kinder hash person she was not fair to me as her child, in fact she always say to me that she will bear another child I am not going to be her only child indirectly telling me that she does not believe in me or see me like someone that will make it in life in summary my mother does not care about me then. She never bother about my education I rough everything myself.
Instead of my mother to spend on me she spends all her money on my step dad, the properties in the house they live was bought by my mum. Even the marriage my mum spends more on it than my step dad.
When my step dad got a job in a microfinance bank, he returned back to school to further his education in one of the most expensive university (Igbenedion University) and my mum was at home suffering no good medical care no good food no one around to stay with her or cook for her my step dad goes to work in the morning and return in the evening my mother was always alone in the house thinking, she placed my step dad above everyone In her family and as such her siblings decided to be far from her they don’t even care if she exist.
My mother sickness got worsened and affected her sight, now it has affected her kidney, test results and receipts attached.
Now my step dad has refused to visit her in Lagos, he has refused to send money I told him I want to return his wife back to him he said no that no one will take care of her. He sent me some senseless messages I can’t type everything now but I will attach the screenshot of my conversation with him and that of his brother. Please advise me on what to do cus I’m alone in this now and I’m dare in need of money to treat my mum whom is now on dialysis.
My step dad has cost my mum so much pains like taken her money cus she got bad sight, he took a lady to a hotel, spend so much money on her even when my mum was seriously sick. I'm uploading more of our conversation.............

Helen56: beware of those people on Jumia deal selling phone. I saw an adver on Jumia deal of an Infinix hot 6 pro phone of 20000 posted by Alhaja Joyce Yakubu. I contacted her and she told me to pay a commission of 5000 first into an account name wilfred precious, 3124741019 first bank. she claimed the owner of the account is a Jumia secretary and she is working under Jumia. I transferred the money and it was confirmed. then she said Jumia said I should pay 50% before the phone will be sent to me. I transferred the money and she said it didn't reflect, I transferred it again making a total of 20000. then she said he has given the driver the package and gave me the driver's number. I called the man and he confirmed that he was bringing it to my address. only for me to call the man later and he said he was held by some boys and they demanded he pay them 5000. I called back the woman and she told me to pay 2000 to the driver's account so he can bring the package. I insisted she should be the one to give the driver the money. she told me if I don't pay the money he can't bring the package. then I realized that I had been duped. pls don't buy any phone online or pay money to anybody's account for whatever reason you can get your money back or put the account owner on black list. reach the cpc and other fraud fighting agencies, also notify your bank, try a reversal. |

AnonPoet: I'm really angry this morning after spending hours trying to convince IBEDC to reconnect light illegally disconnected in Olorunsogo area of Abẹ́òkúta where I stay.
Okay, so let me start from the beginning. IBEDC doesn't give the Olorunsogo and Abiola Way area of Abẹ́òkúta more than 2 hours of electricity per day, on the days they manage to give us at all compared to other close areas of Abeokuta like Aké and Ìdí-Aba that get about 8 hours of electricity.
We have written NERC so many times wondering why we have to suffer darkness when Nigeria is supposedly generating more electricity. What we have is stone cold silence.
Then suddenly in the middle of the night I noticed that IBEDC decided to have pity on our destiny and give us our measly daily dose of token electricity supply. However only some part of my side of Olorunsogo had light.
Thinking it was a fault from the transformer, we went to report to IBEDC area office on Abiola Way only to be told that the community in Abiola Way (not Olorunsogo ó) decided to opt out of electricity supply until IBEDC can guarantee at least 6 hours of electricity daily.
My people, we could not convince this people to come back and remove only Abiola Way people and leave us in Olorunsogo alone.
These same people that over billed me up N10, 000 until I discovered and screamed are insisting some parts of Abiola Way are connected to us. We cajoled one of them (a certain Mr Johnson) to come and check the pole and transformer to see that they can remove Abiola Way people without removing us and these people that are still owing me money from over billing are saying that I should wait till Monday while making allusions to that if I can "wet the floor" a little (bribe), they'll come and do it.
In anger I went to their Abẹ́òkúta headquarters to see their manager but was prevented in doing so.
My Nairaland people, please advice me on what to do. Is this how I'm going to be in darkness all weekend? I have jobs I need to deliver and money for fuel is not available. What should I do? on twitter cc the following handles cpcNig, eienigeria, segalink your state governor or any top official on twitter, the vice president, the senate, Lagos traffic etc search for your disco on twitter you'll find other active handles mentioning them add them, hopefully this will help |

Crime › Re: Elo Ogidi, Christ Embassy Kidnap: Fraudsters Contact Family Members by odysey: 5:33pm On Jul 16, 2018 |
information1: @Talkgeria
The family members of a missing four-year-old, Elo Ogidi, have been left confused as different kidnap gangs have called to demand ransom for her release.
PUNCH Metro had reported that Elo got missing during a church service at the headquarters of the Christ Embassy in Oregun, Lagos.
Elo was reported with the maid during the church’s children thanksgiving service last Sunday when she went missing.
Speaking with our correspondent on the telephone, Elo’s father, Afokoghene Ogidi, said different kidnappers had called the family claiming to have kidnapped Elo, adding that the gangs demanded different ransom.
He said, “Several people have been calling us, demanding ransom but they are fraudsters that picked our numbers from the flyers around.
“We believe that these fraudsters are from the same place using different numbers.
“One of them called and demanded N2.5m, telling me that if I did not provide the money within 24 hours, he would kill my daughter. He later called me back that day demanding N500,000 to feed my baby.
“When I got home, I didn’t call him back because I know a kidnapper will not ask for feeding upkeep.”
Ogidi, who further disclosed that he tracked the phone number of the gang which revealed the location they were calling from, said he told the member to put his daughter on the telephone.
“He called me the second day and told me that I did not want to comply and I said him I would comply, adding that I would give him more than the amount he asked for if only he could allow me to hear my daughter’s voice.
“But he could not provide my daughter; he was repeating the same statement of me not complying. With the trauma I was going through, I told him I know his location, and I will get him arrested, so he stopped calling,” Ogidi said.
Ogidi, who noted that another kidnap gang called his sister to demand N18m ransom, said all the gangs that called the family had their locations in Port-Harcourt.
He said, “Another gang called my sister to demand N18m, and she told them that she wanted to hear her daughter’s voice, the fraudsters gave the phone to an adult to mimic baby’s voice.”
Ogidi, who told PUNCH Metro that the family had been traumatized as a result of the incident, said he could not wait to have his daughter back.

infocabal: Good day my fellow Nairalanders.
I have been hearing of this issue, I didn't believe until it happened to me last week.
I went to withdraw money from Diamond Bank ATM in Gwagwalada, Abuja around 9pm. When it was my turn, I slotted in my ATM card entered my Pin and entered the amount of withdrawal. Only for the Machine to be hang, I was then pressing the red button so it reject my card but alas, it Swallowed my Card.
So disappointed, I told the security man, he said there is nothing can be done, that I should go to my bank which is first Bank to get another ATM card.
I went home that night only for me to be seeing alert of N20,065 four times... And 15,065 once.
And the withdrawal location is in Wuse 2, which is about 50km away from Gwagwalada. My account was emptied and only me know my PIN. Even my wife doesn't know it.
So the next morning I went to first Bank to complain about the matter, and they told me someone withdrew the money in another location. I told them how possible is that? When 1. Am the only one that know my PIN 2. The location of withdrawal is 50mins away and I got alert less than that time. 3. The card was swallowed up by Diamond bank ATM and I still waited for it to come out but it didn't.
Infact, the customer care lady said, 2 other people came to complain about the same incident from the same location where my ATM was swallowed.
I was told to visit Diamond bank or the Police. Quickly I went to police station to lay my complain. Only for the DPO to tell me to bring N5, 000 to write letter to the bank. And I told him, where will i get the money from, when they have withdrew all the money in my account.
To cut the long story short, we are still on the matter, I was even made to know that bank officials connive to criminals to get swallowed atm card and correlating PIN, don't really know how true this is.
It's becoming a rampant case gradually, rhetoric relevant authority should be informed please. reach @citizensgavel on twitter and share this same story, copy @segalink cbn cnn cpc etc thank me later |
