I don't have enough details because my guy didn't take snapshots as the deal happened on telegram in one of the groups
The scammers name is James Obedience Abraham

Scammed him of 10,000 cash and 200# airtime

He paid for etn coins and was immediately removed from the group

On the 20th of July 2020 I got arrested by Asaba State CID from Enugu state and immediately thrown into prison.

On my arrest, I was arrested with an iPhone 7 Plus, the police officers dialed my phone number and it rang on my iPhone. Then I was asked where is the camon 15 I stole on the 7th of July in Asaba. I told them I didn’t visit Asaba on 7th I showed prove. Then the IPO told me the stolen phone was tracked and my phone number appeared to have been inserted into the stolen phone on the 9th of July.

This is ridiculous as I informed the police of my status in the society and that since April I have not removed my sim from my phone.

I had to pay N185,000 as amount of phone and cost of tracking to be freed after paying N50,000 for bail.

I am writing this because I need help, I need an independent tracker as agreed between me and the IPO to unravel the mystery of how my phone number got linked with the IMEI.

Please any recommendation will be appreciated

I saw an Ad on Nairaland on June 22 about a guy or business called Pato Exchange, they claim to buy Bitcoin at good rate, clicked on the AD took me straight to my WhatsApp, where I had a chat with the guy.

Yesterday 30th June, I sent $30 USD worth of Bitcoin to the scammer, ormo since then he doesn't want to answer me again, and I even planned to sell $1K to the asshole.


Anyways, I think Nairaland should be careful how they accept ADS make Dem no dey promote scammers that would scam their visitors, right now I no even trust any Nairaland ad again

Sorry this happened to you but find a way to get your money back, reach out to efcc, fccp on Twitter and write mails or create tickets on their site

There's lots of companies and individuals including I who genuinely buy btc
So reach out to them or search online for them
Meanwhile make sure you get your money back and blacklist the guy, put up his number and also send it to the efcc on the tweet you send them

If you're scared of online transaction then do face to face, pick a public place and be sure it's secure
I sold a phone on jiji the guy asked me to meet him in a bank which have serious security
