Throwback:
You are a clown.
Are you implying that the umpire supported Yorubas by doing his job of conducting a free and fair election where the Igbos preferred the Northern Tofa to their fellow Southerner Abiola?
You should be ashamed that the results of the June 12 election and your previous antecedents in the past democratic governments, showed that you are ever willing to be the Southerners to ally with the North. Yet you daily wail about betrayal and treachery.
Claiming a fictitious and nonexistent Southern unity concept was betrayed by others. As always, Throwback and his stupidity. If not for the fact that I just returned from a ban, I would have analysed your stupidity. That said, 1. If majority of Igbo in 3 igbo states didn't vote MKO, but a sizable number voted for him including one igbo state voting overwhelmingly for him, does it make ALL Igbo anti-MKO? 2. For an Igbo to be the electoral umpire who declared the true winner despite the army fist thrown at him shows that there was no calculated attempt by Igbos as a tribe. to downplay MKO. My father in 1993 voted in Lagos and he voted MKO. in essense, you just spewed junk. 1 Like |

Chiwude: Kanu is a bigot and an idiot for fooling many of you and yet you don't have eyes to see it. OP, Kanu is not the savior of the Biafran movement, nor the messiah of the Igbo nation, I have told you IPOB this. But the oath you swore seems to be an hinderance to your deliverance. Kanu only rode on sentiments, on our people's connection to Biafra as well as years of marginalization to pass his message of hate, conflict and semitism which we aren't know for. Failure to open your eyes to see all these means that you will never be salvaged. On the aspect of being terrorist, IPOB can never be a terrorist group especially as the definition of the word terrorist is above the understanding of a failed Buhari. Maybe the next government in power would absolve IPOB of the terrorist tag. If you think demonizing KANU will make you the sacred cow before the afonjas and almajiris, think again. A man running a separatist movement located in over 30 nations is something no man in your family can attain. Except Nigeria (shithole country), IPOB has beaten the Nigeria government in several international courts of justice. 1 Like |

-You’re really not the sharpest pencil in the bunch.
-I believe you got that phrase “Affirmative action” from USA texts. It has since been proved in courts in the same USA to be discrimitive and a race to the bottom rather than a race to the top, hence why most States stopped using it. It has also been proved to not help “those” it is intended to help. How will a child that doesn’t understand basic Math be able to cope in an Algebra class and of what value will the child be in a class discussion?
-The principle idea behind “Affirmative action” is to help groups that are less represented in the social structures of the State, but not at the detriment of merit. In order words, people from those groups must meet minimum standard! Anything short of that will be at the detriment of the whole society.
-How come those who advocate this discriminative policy send their children to countries where merit is the watchword?
-Would you rather have a quota system Doctor operate on your dying child, rather than a Doctor who got his qualifications by merit?
-Your country, Nigeria, is extremely backward because of people like you! Thank you sir. Don't mind those half baked naira land pundit |

This is Exactly what I'm saying. When the first VC of UI did it, employing 95% of his tribesmen, it was okay. Stella Odua did it in the aviation ministry, it was okay. It was done again when 76 (wo)men were picked from the SE zone alone as principals out of 104, leaving 28 for the other five zones, it was okay. Only 28 other qualified Nigerians were found in the other 5 zones, hence the SE had to keep a lion share of 76 for themselves. These to you are/were effective representation.
But every other zone was watching amd learning from you guys the act of nepotism (remember how leaders of other zones were killed and none from the SE was murdered in the Jan 15 coup). Now that you lost out in a game you play very well, you start crying and disturbing everyone with noise of marginalization.
Keep vomitting your oluwole statistics. Always findings ways to conceal their shameless incompetence. No tribe was more educated than the Igbo in the 40s down to the 60s.... Prove me wrong or forever remain leprous. |

No sir, I'm from the Southern part of Nigeria (I'd like to assume you are too) and I'm strongly against it and would rather things were done or positons given based on merit. But we cannot deny the fact that the present Nigerian arrangement isn't working, because even the merit system can (and would) be abused.
Take for instance, currently all service chiefs save for the CDS and CNS are from the North. The south has only two, with the south east having none.
The government of the day can safely argue they appointed qualified hands into all the positions held by Northerners. Would they be right? Yes. But does it seem fair? That no single south easterner was qualified enough for even one of those positions? No, not fair.
The quota system was meant to address situations like this when followed in sincerity. So you see, the quota system wasn't/isn't that bad to say when applied right. Hence, nothing wrong is reducing the cut off mark for the educationally disadvantaged northern kids to be encouraged and be able to have quality education like their southern brothers.
Again to show how silly the quota system can be, take the case of the super eagles team that won the last Nations cuo for Nigeria. The first (and winning) team with exception to Ahmed Musa and someone else (cant remember the name) were all from the south east. If quota system was to be applied in that team, every zone (NE, NC, NW, SS, SE,SW) should have been represented with at least two players from their zone. If a man from the SW was to be substituted he must be replaced by another SW player. It doesn't matter if one is a striker and the other a defender but the player needed at that moment was a midfielder.
So you see, this is the ugly situation we find ourselves in. My solution? Let us go back to regionalism and resource control. But before then, the people who destroyed that arrangement due to greed and selfishness must apologize to the rest of the nation and stop crying victims all the time. Story..... The service chiefs aren't even qualified. Prosecuting a war requires high cognitive effort. Not just pulling triggers. You think speaking in favour of this northern policy will make you look good before them? I pity you. 2 Likes |

gidgiddy: 1. That Nnamdi Kanu has no right to agitate for Biafra: Under article 1 of the UN charter and article 20(1) of the African charter on people and human rights, any group of people can agitate for self determination. Nigeria is a signatory to both laws
2. That Kanu is leading a secessionist organization:- This cannot possibly be true since secession is the unilateral enforcement of independence from an existing country by a group of people. Kanu has not declared or enforced the independence of Biafra from Nigeria, so therefore, neither he nor IPOB are secessionists. Kanu actually wants a referendum rather than secession.
3. That Kanu solicited arms to fight Nigeria:- Again, this not true. The video of Kanu soliciting for arms at the 2015 world Igbo congress in America is still on youtube. At no time did Kanu say anything about using the guns to fight Nigeria in that video. Soliciting guns is not a crime in Nigeria, infact, the firearms act of Nigeria allows Nigerian adults to hold certain types of guns, such as pump action rifles, under license. What is a crime is to hold guns without license or to use guns to commit crime.
4. That Kanu committed a crime by saying that election won't hold in Anamabra:- There is no crime called the the "offence of saying that election won't hold". Anyone is free to say what they like. What is a crime is trying to disrupt election. Besides, Kanu never said anything about disrupting elections. What he talked about was election boycott which is legal
5. That Kanu wants war:- Kanu has said it many times that he wants a referendum conducted in what used to be the Eastern Region, in addition to present day Delta state, to determin those who want independence and and those want to carry on with Nigeria. Referendum does not mean war.
6. That Kanu is a coward that ran away:- While nobody knows for sure what happend to Kanu after the military invasion of his home, it would be wrong to assume that if he escaped, this was cowardice. What kind of person will hand themselves over to their enemy on a platter of gold to be saughtered? Only a very stupid person would do that. In a situation where you have been overwhelmed by your enemies, the smart thing to do is to tactically withdraw and return at an opprtune time to continue the struggle.
7. That Kanu and IPOB are terrorists:- The terrorism act of Nigeria has such a broad definition of what a terrorist is that everyone in Nigeria is guilty of it. Just raising your voice to someone in anger is terrorism since it can be construed to mean intimidation. So why is it that the Nigerian government says IPOB is a terrorist group but America says they are not? This is because IPOB does not fit the international definition of a terrorist organisation. All terrorist organisations have one thing in common, they all have a history of using violence to achieve their aim, and violence must be an action, not spoken words alone. So the question is, has IPOB used violence to try to achieve Biafra? On the contrary. Besides the fallout from clashes with the authorities, IPOB has history of engaging in violence and therefore cannot be a terrorist group.
On point my brother. 14 Likes |

Bede2u: Azikiwe was born in the north and empowered by lagos and accra. His world view is not a typical igbo man's world view. He is more of wazobia and would have been the best leader of a united Nigeria.
Aguiyi on the other hand is core Igbo warrior. Decree 34 was meant to help the military administration govern until an election can be made. There was no way a military administration will succeed if it was not in control of who becomes governor in the four regions. The decree was not meant to be transfered to a civilian constitution. So dont ever in ur life blame aguiyi for killing regionalism cos he didnt. The gowon govt created 12 states while the murtala govt created 19 states. And den the obj govt legalised it all in his 1979 constitution. Pls learn ur history well.
