Most of you guys don't understand how the US system works. In reality Trump and his Republican friends are not really keen on giving money to tax payers. They were really out to pay money to small and big businesses. The stimulus checks are what the Democrats insisted on doing or else the whole package will not pass the lower house.
So this is not even Trump idea, any thanks should go to Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats. Trump just signed it as a compromise to get what he wants. The Democrats are already planning another stimulus package because they know that this is like giving an average TAX PAYING Nigerian 20k. Most will spend it on bills in a matter of minutes. Trump and cohorts will oppose the next package more vigorously, just watch and see.

Believe me brother America will be back with another programme to meet the needs of its people and to boost their economy. Believe they have not finished yet. And on the side line. Private companies are doing their bits giving our freebies to people. I saw where they even said 500$ for every baby. And so on....

Wait wait wait .....Our country can not afford what....we have here a nation that right from the unset, that rate of employment as been in a record low, staffs are underpaid, billions of naira channelled into private international banks, money laundary, no diversification, depended on oil, growing population >250million people living in less than a dollar, inflation, high petrol price, low crued oil production that is choked with global oil price and competiton. Naturally before the pandemic, if this happen to any nation it will be termed ".....economy leading to a breaking point". But guess what we surviving, we living, we are embezzling, we still have billion nairas. Our population is still increasing, we are still financing and assisting other african countries. Why? Is because we are a consuming nation? Or becasue of our seaport strenght or manpower or the strategic partnership we have with European country , even around the world. Is it becos we are as tough as cockroaches and never say die attitude. I dont know. But what i know for sure is that as a nation we have been under privileged and played for a fool years long. Dont be decieved Nigeria has money but being one of the most corrupt nation on earth creates that misuse of wealth sending the country to "bankruptcy "

Some banks and landlords will allow for rent deferment but those are in the minority. Most are still collecting or simply differing for 30 to 60 days. So you still owe the money. its it's not like you are living for free. Bro, believe me, nothing is free in the US. and I mean NOTHING.
Even this tax refund will still be paid for by us the tax payers in the very near future.
