Etrusen:Below is a link to show that Benin people have been making secret moves to convince someone these Ikwerre non-entities about their Benin roots. So don't come here to proclaim innocence, or give the impression that Benin has nothing to do with the identity crisis that we are currently observing there. Portuguese of the 1400s and the British of the early 1900s have already born witness to Nri's cultural overlordship over Benin. Need I say more? Oba of Benin should be paying homage to Eze Nri https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5RzzIf4waY&t=1457s |
Etrusen:If the Oba of Benin doesn't want to pay homage to the Eze NRI, his taproot, then the Oba has no business travelling to Rivers state, seeking homage from some Rivers state people. Don't think I am the sort of person you can fool with cheap psychological gimmicks |
Meanwhile the Oba is angling to be the godfather of the Ikwerre people. These people and hypocrisy |
Enugwu-Ukwu is an Umu Nri town, and people normally have their limits in these places, no matter how highly placed someone may be. The quintessential un-intimidatable Igbo spirit gets its root from these Nri communities. They don't bow to governors or presidents. And the juju stuff from these communities are the most effective across Africa. This is a civilisation that gave Igbos, Binis, Igalas the four market days, and was respected throughout much of Igboland, Benin empire and Igala kingdom, and crowned all the kings in those areas. All of a sudden, one upstart first lady thinks she can do anyhow, because people now wear suits and ties. She had better pay attention before mmanwu apiapu ya isi. NRI JI OFO |
Columba90:Very good attempt. The only additions I will make are these 2) Alcohol - Mmanya oku (it can also be called mmanya na-aba n'anya) 8 ) Wall - Aru Aja and also Aja uno/ulo |
ijawcitizen:Tonyebarcanista alias Ijawcitizen, I suppose you will consider me a grown-up once you are able to fool me into believing UBANI is an Ijoid town. Igbo Kwenu is also a popular chant in NDOKI territory, as it is, in other Igbo territories. You have a long way to go. It has never been IJAW KWENU Stop acting like a child |
ijawcitizen:That reminds me of Oshiomole's laugh before the last Edo gubernatorial election |
Eastlink:Of course. You are very correct. That was exactly why they had to change the name OBIGBO, which clearly means THE IGBO HEART, to OYIGBO. So now Ndoki ancestors that coined the name OBIGBO in describing a particular territory that belongs to them, overnight changed to become Ijaw migrants. The earliest writing on Bonny has already established the real owners of UBANI. A properly constituted international court will pay attention to the words of neutral, early observers of Bonny, over latter day land-grabbing revisionists. |
ijawcitizen:View my signature to see the snippet from the book, and the year the book was written. Ijaws can never have Bonny. Deal with that ![]() |
Graysons:Chibuike Amaechi and Wike have never really distanced themselves from Igbos ranging from their dress code and utterances. Real Ndokis are bonafide Igbos. One was the chairman of an Igbo youth group in the UK just a few years ago. Adolphus Wabara never claimed to be Ijaw throughout his senate presidency or even now. You have no chance whatsoever nigga |
Graysons:Yeah. That's why you non-Igbos changed OBI IGBO to OYIGBO. NDOKI people don suffer |
Eastlink:Ijawcitizen just used his various Facebook monikers to chat and answer himself. Two of the earliest writings on Bonny from credible and neutral sources including the first book ever written about Bonny, had already established that Igbos were the original and first settlers in Bonny. All these their usual yahooyahoo moves won't cut it |
BlowYourMind:You specialise in mining skulls from living people. That's the problem |
Atigba:Neither EZE nor CHIMA is an Edo word. They are both clearly Igbo words. So this still proves my point. Igbo was a major language throughout Edo land and Yoruba land many centuries ago. The Eze Nris crowned the Obis of Onitsha, up until the 1960s. It was never done by the Obas of Benin. The about 66 Igbo kings that existed before the advent of the white man were all crowned by Eze Nris, and were ALL of NRI ancestry. NRI people only crowned kings of NRI or Eri (e.g Igala) ancestry. The priority was obviously given to kings of NRI ancestry as they are descendants of Eri's firstborn and royal cum priestly lineage. That is why I know Obas of Benin and Ogisos of Igodomigodo have/had NRI blood, otherwise Eze Nris wouldn't have been crowning them |
Atigba:Then how come Igodomigodo was making use of NRI:owned market days? Stop making frivolous claims. It cannot stand any academic test. Tell us how Igodomigodo came to be using NRI market days. Secondly now that I caught you in the 11th century scam, you have changed to 9th century. Show us Igodomigodo archaeological evidence that proves Igodomigodo is older than NRI first. This is not the time for making wild statements. NRI kings crowned both the Igodomigodo and Benin rulers. Provable facts!!! |
Zooposki:Do I sound like an Aguleri man to you ![]() Even if we are Hebrews, Nri people hardly dwell on that. We concentrate on Igbo culture and tradition, and admit that we share some cultural similarities with the Jews, but that is as far an an Nri man will go. It is usually the Aguleris that start twisting facts, and start dwelling on the whole Jewish tale as though we Igbos need that to be important. It is obviusly a storyline, some elements in the IPOB leadership have bought hook line and sinker. |
Atigba:You see what I'm talking about. You keep making unsubstantiated claims. You wrote that no one was in the SE as far back as the 11th century, meanwhile Igbo-Ukwu archaeological bronze-work findings were dated to about the 9th century. And by the way, the Igbo-Ukwu findings have already been ascribed to the Nri people. The Nri people established Oraeri who are the real owners of the Igbo-ukwu findings, and recognized as an offshoot of the Nri hegemony. Now get it again from me, that Nri people established Oraeri and Igodomigodo, and vestiges of Nri civilisation remain in Benin till today, most especially the 4 market days. Igodomigodo is an Nri establishment. This fact can so easily be proven. Once again, Nri-Igbos have been around for way longer than you can imagine |
Muna4real:What I mean is that the whites are using SA black idiotic lazy monkeys to forment trouble for other blacks. This is all in an attempt to distract and ensure these foolish black south Africans don't start demanding for their ancestral lands back |
Bkayyy:Because they're the real planners of the whole exercise. They don't wanna show their hands. It's designed to be a black on black thing |
Atigba:Nwokem, history is not about making empty claims. It is so easy to make a totally false claim that Eri came from Igodomigodo. What proper historians do, is to check that statement against available facts. The core facts that exist at the moment is that Igodomigodo used 4 NRI market days dedicated to NRI deities. This alone proves who influenced who and possibly, who came from where. NRI people will not install you as a king without those market day deities, and the king-elect honouring these deities. Portuguese have already made it clear some of the activities of the kingdom TO THE EAST OF BENIN towards Benin. Ignore the Yoruba revisionists that claim that Ife is EAST OF BENIN. Ife is EAST OF DAHOMEY. Definitely not EAST OF BENIN. Do you know the meaning of IGODOMIGODO? |
4words:Yorubas have destroyed Nigeria's image with human trafficking, cultism, skull mining, terrorism and other criminal behaviours |
4words:Yet you do not want to give them their own country. Yorubas have exported their criminal behaviour to SA. Igbos who are the most intelligent black ethnic group don't need anyone's love. All Igbos need is their country, and we will show Africa what success is all about. South Africa, Nigeria and the others will be coming a distant second, to an Igbo country. So I don't give a crap about anyone's hate. Unfortunately at the moment, Nigeria has an illiterate president foisted on the nation, so his response too all these insults will be uncoordinated and incompetent as usual. Immediately ban MTN, ShopRite and other SA multinationals from operating in Nigeria and expelling SA and Ghanaian citizens from Nigeria, to start off with. Returning Nigerians can easily fill in the void. |
Osagyefo98:.Then stop reading "nonsense". Move on to the next message. Is it the Igbo man's fault that the Nris kicked huge anthropological ass in the olden days? Just because the NRI civilisation gave Igbos her bronze artworks centuries before yours, your jealousy is about to consume you. NRI JI OFO |
Osagyefo98:Another one jealous of Igbo achievements. Painment galore ![]() |
Osagyefo98:Igodomigodo was an ancient kingdom, currently succeeded by Benin. It had Nris, Ikas, Edo's e.t.c in it It was really set up by the Nris and the original royal household was from NRI, the Ogisos. The ancient NRI kings crowned the Ogisos, and this practice carried on to the Oba era. I believe Oranmiyan's descendants are most probably of the Ogiso lineage otherwise the Eze Nris would not have been crowning the oba, as that would have been supporting usurpation. Afa would have revealed the tainted bloodline. For the Nris to be crowning Benin Obas up untill relatively recently, means that the Obas are originally of the Nri-Ogiso bloodline |
GeneralKoko:Keep consoling yourself with this. The only true fact you mentioned is that people, both in APC and PDP are fed up with Tinubu. The fuel price hike, electricity tariff hike, bank self assessment crap, river bank bill being considered by the national assembly were indirectly made possible by Tinubu for supporting a known jihadist. |
Juliusmalema:Ovens Awka Ausuma Malaika is from Anambra |
IMASTEX:Lucky for him, he went to PDP, the most likely to be able to resist federal might, and PDP did resist federal might. Wike and the rest did the needed supporting activities to make it work, otherwise your votes wouldn't have mattered |
Hoelujohn:It will massively depend on who he is running against, and whether the person is an aggressive fighter |
Hoelujohn:They voted for both. They certainly didn't vote for APC |
Very unlikely he will return soon. He just threw down the gauntlet at Tinubu. It will be illogical if he returns to APC, as Edo people will feel betrayed. |
