They are already cursed. The question now is how they can deliver themselves from the curse they brought upon themselves |
press9jatv:Imo electorate weren't brainwashed, Ohakim simply wasn't performing at all. Imolites sent packing one of its worst governors in history. During the campaigns, while his main rival, Rochas Okorocha, was promising free education, Ohakim, the incumbent governor was telling Imolites that such a policy was impossible, claiming that Imo State didn’t have the funds for it. Meanwhile, he was building a massive hotel in South Africa. |
TimeManager:When Nigerians are crying out for safety, the President's priority shouldn't be 'ancestral bonding'. Leadership is about timing and right now, the only trip Tinubu should be making is to the frontline of Nigeria's insecurity, not a Caribbean courtesy visit. Now kiss reality |
I hope this does not devolve into ethnic and tribal brickbats |
Putindbutt:You call people “enemies of the state” simply for demanding accountability yet you say nothing when real suffering is ignored. The president is in Benue, yes. Good. But when will he visit the flood victims in Mokwa, Niger State? Or do those lives not matter enough for a presidential visit? It’s not bitterness to speak out when people are dying or displaced while the nation’s leader vacations abroad. It’s called conscience. If holding leaders accountable makes us “enemies,” then maybe your definition of patriotism is just blind worship of failure. Nigeria deserves better and so do its people |
Putindbutt:When citizens speak out against misgovernance and irresponsibility, they’re labeled enemies of the state. Meanwhile, your ‘leader’ is vacationing in Saint Lucia while Nigerians are being buried. If holding leaders accountable makes me an enemy, then perhaps your idea of patriotism is nothing more than blind loyalty to failure. |
While Nigeria bleeds, Tinubu books a beach. Insecurity is at an all-time high, inflation is choking families, and more Nigerians are dying than in actual war zones and yet Tinubu’s priority is sunbathing in Saint Lucia? Apparently, that’s the reward for doing absolutely nothing while your country burns. This isn’t leadership; it’s elite abandonment at its peak |
It's actually a criminal audacity of hypocrisy |
Boyooosa:APC, the party Tinubu contested under, was the opposition party, I guess |
The Benue State Government has declared Wednesday, June 18, 2025, a public holiday to mark the official visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the state.https://dailypost.ng/2025/06/17/benue-govt-declares-public-holiday-ahead-of-tinubus-visit/

So the people of Benue, a state soaked in tears from years of bloodshed by killer herdsmen, marauding militias, and unanswered cries for justice are now expected to line the streets and welcome the very leadership that met their suffering with silence? Respectfully, hospitality is earned, not demanded. You cannot ask a people abandoned in pain to celebrate a government that has watched from a distance while they buried their dead. If President Tinubu desires a warm welcome, let him first extend warm concern not in photo-ops, but in real action, justice, and protection. Shame on those who enabled this wicked government, who cheered it on, who covered for it, who benefitted from it. History will remember their silence and complicity. And may the pain they've helped cause never go unanswered. |
Indeed, democracy is a journey but for citizens to believe in it, the institutions guiding that journey, like INEC, must be seen to uphold transparency, integrity, and fairness. Trust is not commanded; it is earned through credible action. President Tinubu would do well to practice what he preaches |
But his supporters say otherwise. They claim he didn’t forge any certificate, wasn’t involved in cocaine trafficking, and that the $460,000 of cocaine proceeds forfeited to the U.S. government was just a 'charity donation.' They also say he worked at Deloitte and Mobil, and rose to become an accountant. ![]() |
...... Crisis rocks Party Tension gripped Sunday’s All Progressives Congress North‑East stakeholders’ meeting in Gombe after delegates threatened to back former Vice President Atiku Abubakar if current Vice President Kashim Shettima is removed from President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 ticket. The gathering at the International Conference Centre was intended to reaffirm support for Mr. Tinubu’s second‑term bid, but erupted in chaos when Zonal Vice Chairman Mustapha Salihu concluded his speech without mentioning Shettima. Video footage showed an enraged party member hurling a chair at Salihu as he fled the stage, while another delegate lobbed a plastic bucket in protest. Salihu had told the audience, “We have no business not supporting this party with all the juicy appointments and responsibilities given to us by this government. I would want all members of the zonal executive committee to stand up so that we will do the proper endorsement, because it is the zonal executive committee that holds the ticket. We want to reaffirm and also adopt the endorsement earlier done by the national working committee, that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is endorsed to be a sole candidate for the 2027 election.” The omission prompted a chorus of “Shettima! Shettima! Shettima!” and swift intervention by security operatives. “It’s an insult to the entire region that our own son, the Vice President, was not even mentioned,” fumed a Borno delegate. “This is a calculated attempt to sideline Shettima, and we will resist it with everything we have.” Before the fracas, the governors of Yobe, Borno and Gombe—Mai Mala Buni, Babagana Zulum and Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya—had each voiced their backing for the Tinubu‑Shettima ticket. Governor Yahaya declared, “The North‑East is fully behind the President and the Vice President. Their leadership has brought renewed hope to this region.” POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Despite that show of unity, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje’s closing remarks failed to quell anger. Though he acknowledged Shettima—“we are proud of his deputy, his Vice President, it is one ticket according to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”—many delegates remained unconvinced and chanted, “No Shettima, no APC in the North‑East.” Several threatened mass defection to the Peoples Democratic Party. “If Shettima is dropped, I will personally lead my people to vote for Atiku,” warned an Adamawa chieftain. “We won’t be taken for granted.” The meeting ended abruptly as dignitaries exited amid shouts and chairs being thrown. Outside, police deployed teargas to disperse hundreds of agitated party faithful. An eyewitness, James Abass, warned, “This is more than just a misunderstanding. It’s a sign of serious internal divisions within the ruling party that could trigger mass defections or the rise of a counter‑movement if not urgently addressed.” A source familiar with the zonal working committee disclosed that all North‑East NWC members—except Mustapha Salihu—had formally supported Tinubu and Shettima. The lone dissenting voice, the source said, was Salihu himself, against four colleagues who backed the joint ticket. https://politicsnigeria.com/2027-we-will-vote-atiku-if-shettima-is-dropped-apc-members-threaten-as-crisis-rocks-party/ |

Our nonchalant president needs to vacate so this country can genuinely move forward. He is impeding progress |
Imindmybusiness:If foreigners are lining up to vote in Nigeria's 2027 elections, then it’s not love, it’s either comedy or a serious breach of sovereignty. Last I checked, Kenyans, South Africans, and Zimbabweans have their own struggles and elections to worry about. What Nigerians need is leadership that puts their suffering first not fairy tales of global fan clubs. Peter Obi is speaking to Nigerians, not a choir and certainly not to a delusional audience applauding poverty, inflation, and insecurity. If Tinubu’s love means silence in the face of suffering, then that’s not leadership, it's pure negligence |
So, Tinubu had to wait until the entire Benue State was overrun by armed militias and killer herdsmen, and the state government was overwhelmed, before deploying special forces? |
Oshiomole should stop being petty. You can’t just stroll in at 6:12 a.m. for a 6:30 a.m. flight, aviation is not molue. |

BigBreezeBabs:No one claimed the constitution mandates roads be fully completed before commissioning, but it's fair to expect that public infrastructure should be functional and not just photo ops. Calling for accountability doesn't mean one lacks education, it means one understands the importance of governance beyond slogans and ceremonies. And regarding your comment on Agulu, leadership is measured by impact, not insults. Let's focus on substance, not smear |
Nigerians will grant his wish, by not reelecting him |
Hamziyah:What did Peter Obi do to Reno Omokri? ![]() ?? |
You parade yourself as a pastor, but you are a pastor just like Simon the Sorcerer. Your fidelity to God, truth, and even family is non-existent. A man who has no qualms about having two wives preaching morality to others? That’s comedy dipped in hypocrisy. And now, you want a political wife in Tinubu and a side chick in Atiku? Sorry, Reno. Nigeria isn’t your polygamous playground. That riverside romance has failed — spectacularly. Ashawo kobo kobo!Fatality ![]() |
The House of Representatives Joint Committees on Public Accounts and Public Assets have summoned the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, to appear before them on Monday, June 16, 2025. The invitation follows allegations of non-compliance with the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2007 and concerns raised in the 2021 audit report from the Office of the Auditor General for the Federation, which highlighted serious internal control weaknesses. In a letter jointly signed by the Chairmen of the Committees—Bamidele Salam (Public Accounts) and Ademorin Kuye (Public Assets)—the lawmakers requested that the officials present details regarding the remittance of operating surpluses to the Federation Account by the CBN, as mandated by existing financial regulations. Both the Fiscal Responsibility Commission and the Auditor General have in previous reports accused several Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs)—including the Central Bank—of either failing to remit or under-remitting their operating surpluses over the past six years. “These violations have negatively impacted the liquidity of the federal government and constitute a hindrance to effective implementation of the budgets passed by parliament,” Salam stated. According to the committees, ample time had already been granted for the Finance Ministry and the apex bank to reconcile their records and present accurate financial positions, prompting the need for a final hearing to resolve outstanding discrepancies. In addition to the surplus remittance issue, the Committees are also probing claims in the Auditor General’s statutory report which allege that several government-funded projects, though fully paid for, remain uncompleted and unused for years. “Some of these projects in Dutse, Abeokuta, and other locations were awarded between 2011 and 2016 but yet to be completed according to audit reports,” the statement noted. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2025/06/reps-summon-finance-minister-cbn-gov-over-unremitted-surpluses-audit-violations/ |
