But hordes of APC supporters claimed he left the airport. Truly, one must be extremely wicked, heartless, and without conscience to defend this Tinubu government |
CaptainFM1:Absolutely 💯 |
This one follow for lawyer too |
Vision101:This is different from what I put up there, brother. No one is buying or selling family land here. |
akpumping7720:By his party |
Bentacur007:Absolutely. Yakubu led Independent National Electoral Commission to upload the David Mark-led ADC executives. After all the process where concluded and in line with the electoral law and INEC guildlines Now Amupitan interprets his own law and creates a leadership vacuum in the ADC, when we all know that nature, politics abhors a vacuum. |
crixlight2:He was suspended for anti party activities Did you understand that part? |
The Illusion APC sold to paint a picture that Tinubu is working It is all propaganda |
Arkmanbuddy:Absolutely spot on brother |
His own suffering have passed away that is what he is wanted to say, not this rubbish |
Mynd44:You are not a member of the ADC, you are a mod , a notorious supporter of the APC. So why are you so concerned about how a member of the ADC was suspended for anti-party activities? Is it because the individual is supporting Tinubu, the very thing the APC itself would never tolerate? What APC supporters refuse to accept, they expect others to accommodate. That’s the irony here. The ADC leadership under Ralph Nwosu has repeatedly stated that the handover process to the executive led by David Mark was transparent. INEC haven't denied that. Multiple meetings were held with the involvement of INEC, recommendations were made, and due process was followed and endorsed. Under Mahmood Yakubu, INEC officially uploaded the list of the new ADC executive led by David Mark. The same Nafiu Bala now claiming to be national chairman was part of those meetings, he haven't also denied that, and he resigned, with his resignation formally submitted to INEC. This is all public knowledge. Let’s not pretend otherwise, you and I both know what is going on here. Don’t play the ostrich. There is a calculated attempt to weaken the opposition and shrink the democratic space under the APC-led government. Look around, why are almost all opposition parties suddenly engulfed in internal crises? This is unprecedented. At a time when governance should focus on improving the lives of citizens, it instead seems energy is being directed toward political control and weakening dissent. That, ultimately, is the real concern. |
ARISHEM:He was suspended for anti-party activities. Would the APC tolerate an elected member on its platform openly supporting a candidate from another party? What you, APC and other APC supporters won’t tolerate, you expect other parties to accept so long as it benefits Tinubu. That’s exactly what’s playing out in the PDP today and have led to it's death It doesn’t matter when David Mark and others joined, freedom of association is a constitutional right. After all, aren’t governors and elected officials from other parties defecting to the APC even now? So why should it be a problem when people move in the opposite direction? Must everyone belong to the APC?” |
No time to check time The war is taking too long |
Abejide is obviously the main imposter |
Chivisee:Restructure which country, exactly? Does Tinubu strike you as someone who even understands governance, let alone restructuring? It’s astonishing that people still expect results when the signs have long suggested otherwise. |
seunmsg:Try to have some shame seunmsg |
Tinubu is a bad leader......and bad leaders are always afraid, even of their own shadow. |
fijiano202:What's the truth? |
Tinubu told the governor of Plateau State to bring the families of the Angwan Rukuba attack that happened on Palm Sunday to the airport on Thursday. He landed at Yakubu Gowon Airport, walked down to the airport waiting hall used for the event, gave a less than 10-minute uninspiring speech, offered no assurance to arrest the perpetrators, shook hands with few members of the family, and walked back to his jet to go enjoy his Easter holiday in Lagos. It's hard to believe. The condolence meeting wasn’t held at the State House or in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, where the incident happened, but at the airport. I mean, the AIRPORT. Copied |
Every learned person knows status quo ante bellum, except when it gets to Tinubu’s turn, where it mysteriously acquires a new meaning. ‘Return to status quo,’ they say. But the status quo is the David Mark–led ADC executive, since nature and politics abhors a vacuum. Yet INEC now appears to be deliberately creating one. |
The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of acting in violation of the law and taking sides in the party’s ongoing leadership dispute. ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, made the allegation on Thursday while speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show. Abdullahi argued that a former party official, Nafiu Bala Gombe, no longer had the legal standing to act on behalf of the party, insisting that his tenure had ended following his resignation and the dissolution of the executive committee he belonged to. He maintained that the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, as the next highest organ after the convention, had already taken decisions binding on the party’s leadership structure. The ADC spokesman questioned INEC’s actions, alleging that the commission was recognising moves by Bala despite being aware of his resignation, thereby taking sides in the internal crisis. Abdullahi further accused INEC of disregarding a subsisting directive of the Court of Appeal to maintain the status quo, describing the commission’s conduct as contemptuous of the court. DAILY POST reports that the remarks follow INEC’s decision to remove the names of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola as National Chairman and National Secretary of the ADC from its official portal. The commission also said it would not recognise Bala, who is seeking to be declared national chairman through the courts, and announced the suspension of recognition of all factions within the party pending the determination of a substantive suit before the Federal High Court. Abdullahi said: “As at July 17, he was no longer an official of the party, and INEC knew this. So as I was saying, he has no locus. “It is a settled matter in court that the issue of leadership is wholly and internal affairs of the political parties and the NEC is the next most senior organ of the party, next to the convention. “The NEC said that the executive that he belonged, even if he said he did not resign, the executive that he belong has been duly dissolved. “So on what basis is INEC recognizing Bala’s action? Because INEC knew since August 12 that they received a notice of his resignation that he is no longer an official of the party. “So what basis he being recognized? So recognizing Nafiu Bala’s action means that INEC is taking a side. “What INEC has done effectively is to violate the directive of the appeal court, and that is criminal. “If you are talking about contempt, that is what INEC has done. INEC, today, is behaving like a criminal organization. And Amupitan is a chief criminal because what the Court of Appeal said is maintained status quo. https://dailypost.ng/2026/04/02/inec-behaving-like-criminal-organization-adc/ |
There is currently a heavy security presence at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Abuja. The development follows the decision of the electoral umpire to de-list the National Working Committee, NWC, of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, from its portal on Wednesday. DAILY POST learnt that over two thousand angry Nigerians gathered around the INEC headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, moments after the decision was announced. Some Nigerians, mostly members of the ADC, the Obidient Movement and other groups had planned to return to INEC Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja on Thursday for a protest tagged ‘Occupy INEC’. DAILY POST observed that road leading to the commission’s headquarters were blocked with security vehicles on Thursday morning. A large number of security agents, including personnel of the Nigerian Police Force, NPF, and Department of State Services, DSS, were also observed around the headquarters. DAILY POST reported that INEC struck out the names of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola from its official portal as National Chairman and National Secretary of the ADC, respectively. The commission also said it would not recognise Nafiu Bala Gombe, who is seeking to be declared national chairman through the courts. INEC announced on Wednesday that it would suspend recognition of all factions within the party and refrain from monitoring any conventions or congresses organised by groups aligned with the affected leaders. The decision, it said, will remain in place pending the final determination of a substantive suit before the Federal High Court https://dailypost.ng/2026/04/02/adc-tension-at-inec-headquarters-security-beefed-up-roads-blocked/?utm_source=operamini&utm_medium=feednews&utm_campaign=operamini_feednews |
This little set back was much anticipated But Nigerians are marching on to remove the worst regime in the history of this country come 2027 |
press9jatv:Go and deal first with the omisore faction in Osun state before making further comments |
The former deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the ruling APC of taking actions capable of destabilizing Nigeria’s democratic system. He also called on the United States government led by President Donald Trump to intervene to safeguard democracy in Nigeria. Frank made this known in a statement on Thursday. Recall that INEC on Wednesday derecognized David Mark’s leadership of the ADC pending the determination of a suit filed before a Federal High Court in Abuja. However, Frank, in a reaction, alleged that interference in opposition parties, now extending to the ADC, poses a serious threat to democratic governance and could “set Nigeria on fire” if not urgently addressed. “INEC and the APC-led government appear to be taking steps that threaten the very foundation of our democracy,” he said, adding that the pattern of events across opposition parties suggests a coordinated attempt to weaken political competition ahead of the 2027 general elections. He warned that the trend mirrors developments during the regime of former head of state Sani Abacha, when democratic institutions were suppressed. “This pattern is reminiscent of the tactics employed during the era of General Sani Abacha,” Frank stated. The activist expressed concern over the actions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alleging that recent developments point to a drift towards authoritarianism. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has, through recent actions, evoked concerns of a return to authoritarian tendencies. “His desperation to retain power by all means raises serious questions about the future of democratic governance in Nigeria,” he said. Frank claimed that internal crises within major opposition parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party, Social Democratic Party (SDP), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), had been influenced by external forces and warned that the situation was now spreading to the ADC. He further alleged that the judiciary was being deployed to frustrate opposition parties through questionable rulings. “The courts and the judiciary have been used to thwart democratic processes with frivolous decisions,” he said, calling on the international community to take action against what he described as violations of judicial integrity. “Nigeria is about to head into anarchy and a crisis that might be difficult to curtail,” he said, adding that such developments have historically led to political upheavals, including civil wars in other countries. “I call on all well-meaning Nigerians, including the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC), Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), and traditional rulers, among others, to speak up and defend our democracy. Silence at this critical moment is not an option. “I urge the international community to remain vigilant… particularly the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to encourage and support the preservation of democratic values in Nigeria,” he added https://dailypost.ng/2026/04/02/2027-us-should-intervene-before-inec-apc-set-nigeria-on-fire-timi-frank/ |
Tinubu is notorious threat to democracy and world peace |
madridguy:Funny how you’re talking about “stealing parties” like it’s some crime like the ongoing massacre and bombing of Nigerians under the Tinubu regime First, get your facts straight: when exactly did Peter Obi formally join ADC? And when was this so-called case even filed in court? Or are we just running on vibes a If preparedness means recycling the same tired talking points, then congrats, you people stay “fully prepared” indeed |
madridguy:Who were the rightful owners of ADC |
madridguy:You are shameless |
