A former gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, has resigned his membership of the ruling party. Nakudu, who contested the APC governorship ticket ahead of the 2023 general election, announced his exit from the party in a resignation letter addressed to party officials in Sundimina Ward, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area. In the letter, the senator said his decision followed careful consideration, noting that he was grateful to the party for the opportunities it afforded him during his time as a member. He also acknowledged the support he received from party stakeholders and supporters throughout his political journey in the APC. According to him, the resignation takes immediate effect from Friday, April 3, 2026, and includes his withdrawal from all party activities. Nakudu served in the Federal House of Representatives for two tenures (2007–2011) and (2011–2015) under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He also served as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria between 2015 and 2019 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Although he did not indicate his next move, findings revealed that he is joining the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and is expected to announce his membership soon. |

When I Was Watching Politics Today I Would've Shot Seun If There Was Way To Break The Screen" -Wike Channels Television's political news host Seun Okinbaloye has come under fire from Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike for his handling of a recent interview with an ADC member. Arise TV posted a video of Wike reacting to the interview, in which he expressed shock and anger. Wike stated that he would have shot Seun if there had been a way to breach the screen. He was especially unhappy because Seun, the interviewer, had voiced his personal belief that no political party should be able to control Nigeria's government. I would have shot him if there was a way to smash the screen yesterday while I was watching Politics Today, Seun, according to Wike. Now that you're the interviewer, you're expressing your personal opinion on how people can coexist in this country with just one political party. https://news-af.feednews.com/news/detail/c8b273221037ff641795af92bc71c10d?client=news |

success1smyn:What was the judgement of appeals court |
This election will obviously be the most rigged election ever to be conducted on planet earth |
It’s on record that this so-called NADECO wannabe betrayed Abiola and then went behind to beg Abacha for a commissioner post. |
Willy2025:The appropriate question is: is this how to remove a desperado, a drug bárón, an identity thief, a forger, and a president with a disputed birthdate? |
If he hadn’t appealed the judgment, the same people now questioning him would still have blamed him for not going on appeal The truth of the matter is that the ruling APC has hijacked the Nigerian judiciary, what we’re seeing now is nothing short of judicial banditry. |
The desperado drug baron, APC, and their electoral arm, the Amupitan-led INEC are steering this country straight toward chaos. |
Imagine Bashiru talking too.... the same man who ran away and went into hiding after Wike gave him the blasting of his life and warned him never to bring his diarrhea-infested mouth into Rivers State matters or any issue that doesn’t concern him. He kept quiet then… but now he has suddenly found his voice again with this ADC matter, opening that same diarrhea-infested mouth. |
Is Bwala still talking? Imagine being such an international embarrassment that you should’ve quietly resigned, disappeared and go into oblivion after that disastrous interview with Mehdi Hasan, yet you’re still out here talking, trying to use Peter Obi to relaunch a globally battered image. Funny how he once said the human brain works 24/7, 365 days a year, until you join APC then it stops working. Well… his brain seems to have finally stopped working. |
Tinubu has already declared war. A desperado drug bárón willing to sink the country just to cling to power |
NwaNimo1:No faction INEC have on their own decided to create a vacuum and nature, like politics abhors a vacuum |
Just as they recognize you and your rogue group, Wike. & Co caretaker committee limited as the authentic Peoples Democratic Party, Nigerians can now clearly see those sponsoring the crisis. |
Omoboricash:That was Buhari's era and that era was a time when losing an election didn’t come with a rehearsed instruction to “go to court.” Now, institutions been compromised. The opposition is stifled, the democratic space is shrinking, and elections are increasingly questioned. INEC appears to act beyond its mandate, even interpreting court rulings in ways that raise concern. When people lose faith in the system, they begin to look outside it, and that is dangerous for any democracy. If this continues, it risks pushing the country toward instability. Tinubu have decided to set this country on fire and watch it burn |

ADC: Retrace your steps, don’t put 2027 election in jeopardy – ACF warns Tinubu, INEC The Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to reconsider recent actions, warning they could threaten the 2027 general elections. ACF National Publicity Secretary, T. A. Muhammad-Baba, spoke to Leadership newspaper on the state of the nation, expressing concern over what he described as troubling developments in the country’s electoral process. He cited INEC’s removal of the leadership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, led by David Mark, as well as the proposed voter revalidation exercise, as actions capable of undermining democratic stability. Muhammad-Baba said such measures could erode public confidence in the electoral system, noting that they risk creating uncertainty ahead of the next general elections. He further warned that Nigeria is already grappling with worsening insecurity and economic challenges, stressing that introducing political tension at this time could aggravate the situation. “It looks like every step taken by INEC or the political authorities is putting the 2027 election into jeopardy. It is not too late, and we hope we call on the government, we call on INEC, we call on all those concerned to retrace their steps and stand by the principles and the tenets of democracy. “Otherwise, all these things really portend a crisis, and it is not good for the country. We have enough. We have enough problems with insecurity. We have enough problems with economic hardships,” Muhammad-Baba said. According to him, stakeholders must adhere strictly to democratic principles to avoid plunging the country into a fresh political crisis. The ACF spokesman called on the federal government, INEC and other relevant actors to retrace their steps and ensure that all actions taken strengthen, rather than weaken, the nation’s democracy. https://dailypost.ng/2026/04/03/adc-retrace-your-steps-dont-put-2027-election-in-jeopardy-acf-warns-tinubu-inec/?utm_source=operamini&utm_medium=feednews&utm_campaign=operamini_feednews |
