Many Agbadorians didn’t even watch the video. Some Agbado person posts something on Twitter, attaches Peter Obi’s name, and suddenly their hoardes of Agbadoos rush out to amoke! |
helinues:Why are you running away? |
helinues:So why is the APC, the party you support, a party that claims to have a digital membership register, afraid of mandatory electronic transmission of election results? Make it make sense for every Nairalander reading this! |
helinues:Which is more ironical: an opposition party struggling with internal digital membership, or the ruling party, the APC, proudly flaunting a so-called digital membership register while vehemently rejecting mandatory electronic transmission of election results? If digital systems are reliable enough for counting party members, why do they suddenly become dangerous when it’s time to transmit votes? The real question is simple: why trust digital data for party politics but not for the people’s mandate |
Everything seems carefully designed, including the refusal to make electronic transmission of election results mandatory, all to ensure Tinubu stands unchallenged in 2027. When El-Rufai warned that Tinubu was on a path to becoming Nigeria’s Paul Biya, many laughed it off as theatrics. With the pace of recent moves, it no longer sounds like drama, it sounds like foresight. |
A South-South ADC leaders’ meeting where Amaechi merely declared his intention to run for president is now being spun by agbadorians into a full-blown “endorsement” by South-South ADC leaders. The imagination is working overtime. |
FSBoperator:Oduduwa forgotten? No. It’s just in hibernation, paused, not erased, waiting for the right season to awaken and rejuvenate after Tinubu’s tenure. |
According to a 70-year-old senior domestic servant, Tinubu supporter and their hoardes of Agbadoos the Bishop is obviously misinformed about the “tremendous development” under the Tinubu administration, inflation is down, the naira has stabilized, food prices are crashing, and of course, there’s the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway |
AsomughaChuks02:Interesting how every conversation even about a PDP governor decamping, must include Peter Obi in your script. For someone you claim has no organic support, you people spend an impressive amount of energy talking about him. |
Tangible evidence everywhere, full ground, e choke! Even yarimo would marvel at the level of transformation happening in Abia and wish Alex Otti could be his state governor, even if just for a few months. Ndi Abia are really, really lucky. |
anonimi:Another interesting deflection, but let’s stay on the promise Tinubu himself made. He said Nigerians shouldn’t re-elect him if he fails to deliver stable electricity, that’s a personal benchmark, not a tribal debate. Accountability doesn’t disappear just because the political climate is messy or because other politicians also failed. Two wrongs don’t switch the lights on. As for 2027, whether it dents his chances or not is beside the point, the issue is that Nigerians deserve to judge Tinubu by the promises he made, not the ones you and other of his supporters wish he hadn’t. |
Zhtq:You should know by now that this has been a calculated, well-orchestrated, and well-funded propaganda machinery designed to populate the media space with stories about Peter Obi, a private citizen just to distract Nigerians from focusing on the maladministration of the Tinubu administration. |
anonimi:Interesting attempt at rewriting history, but let’s stay focused. Tinubu said Nigerians shouldn’t re-elect him if he fails to deliver stable electricity. That’s the benchmark he set for himself. Deflecting to 2019 doesn’t switch the lights on in 2026. We’re not discussing everyone since 1999, we’re discussing the man who asked to be judged by results
|
Ezewuzie01:We’re discussing the erratic power supply under Tinubu, but you chose to deflect with Peter Obi, a private citizen because he is clearly living rent-free in your medulla oblongata. Tinubu himself said that if he doesn’t deliver stable electricity, Nigerians shouldn’t vote for him when he comes back seeking a second term. We’re just holding him accountable to his own promise.

If OBA is going to jail, then Akpabio, the current Senate President, should be going too. OBA served as Commissioner for Finance under Akpabio when he was governor, and also chaired the Inter-Ministerial Direct Labour Coordinating Committee, where he earned the nickname 'Ono Owo Udia.' These are men who looted the commonwealth of the people of Akwa Ibom State. |
Vision101:Oh yes, everything is so cheap now, even cheaper than during the Buhari era. Satisfied? Good. Run along. |
The same Tinubu who once told us, “na statistics we go chop,” has consistently fed Nigerians with propaganda statistics. Undiluted fake statistics Prices of goods and services are still skyrocketing. The living standards of Nigerians are getting worse. Yet, we’re told inflation is dropping and the economy grew by 4.07 percent year-on-year in real terms in the fourth quarter of 2025. Of course the economy is growing, just not in the pockets of ordinary Nigerians. |
ryloy:Tinubu and his defunct ACN once demanded electronic voting, but today he and his APC are rejecting mandatory electronic transmission of election results from polling units. Now tell me , who is being dubious and criminal?
|
The current Senate, under the Akpabio-led leadership, has become the worst in this country’s history, Nigeria’s first official rubber stamp. A Senate that prides itself on never rejecting a presidential proposal, no matter how bad it is, isn’t a legislature; it’s a forwarding department. No wonder the country is in free fall. |
The court found no breach of due process or statutory non-compliance in the conduct of the convention. The Oyo State High Court has validated the 2025 convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, held in Ibadan on November 15 and 16, 2025, and affirmed Kabiru Turaki as the substantive chairman of the party. Justice Ladiran Akintola of Court 5 delivered the judgment on Friday shortly after ruling on an application for joinder. Delivering judgment in Suit No. I/1336/2025 on Friday, the court upheld the amended originating summons filed by Musibau Adetunmbi, a senior advocate of Nigeria, on behalf of the claimant, Folahan Malomo Adelabi. Mr Akintola granted all 13 reliefs sought, ruling that the convention complied with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Electoral Act 2022 (as amended), and other relevant extant laws. The court found no breach of due process or statutory non-compliance in the conduct of the convention. In the same proceedings, the court dismissed a motion on notice seeking a stay of proceedings and a suspension of the ruling, filed by Sunday Ibrahim, a senior advocate of Nigeria, on behalf of Austin Nwachukwu and two others. The applications were described as lacking merit. In November 2025, the PDP, with the backing of Governors Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed, convened a national convention in Ibadan, which produced a new set of national officers and Mr Turaki as chairman. The convention was preceded by a series of conflicting court judgments, with some rulings from the federal high courts in Abuja halting the event over alleged breaches of the party constitution and electoral laws, while the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan cleared the PDP to proceed with the exercise and directed INEC to monitor it. A group of party members led by Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, who opposed the convention, would later form a parallel National Working Committee, a board of trustees (BoT), and a national executive committee (NEC). Subsequently, the Makinde-backed PDP, through its counsel, asked INEC to recognise Turaki as the party’s authentic national chairman. However, in a letter dated December 22 addressed to PDP’s legal representatives, Akintayo Balogun & Co, INEC said the matter remains sub judice, noting that it could not take administrative action that may preempt the outcome of the legal processes before the courts. The electoral body had said it would not update its records to reflect any change in the party’s national leadership pending the resolution of ongoing court cases challenging the convention. “In light of the above pending suits, your request is prejudiced and cannot be acceded to until the determination of the pending appeals,” the letter reads. “In the circumstances, and in obedience to the rule of law and subsisting court orders, the commission is unable to accede to the demand to recognise or update the list of the national officers said to have emerged from the PDP National convention of 15th-16th November 2025,” it added. https://gazettengr.com/court-upholds-pdps-ibadan-convention-recognises-turaki-as-national-chairman/ |
MaziObinnaokija:So when exactly are Yahaya Bello and Ifeanyi Okowa taking that long-anticipated trip to Sokoto? Or is Sokoto reserved only for those in the opposition? While Yahaya Bello still finds time marrying new wives, serious allegations still await their day in court. What about Betta Edu, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, sacked for looting and siphoning funds meant for the poorest Nigerians under the Conditional Cash Transfer Scheme? When does suspension and sacking become accountability? And what of her associates, including the current Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who remains in office despite taking part in the looting through what was describe as consultancy services? Meanwhile, other tainted individuals around the presidency continue to walk free. Is justice delayed or selectively scheduled? |
Which table? The one upon which their dilapidated mandate stands or another? |
lapintoz:Actually, he is ruling catastrophically super well |
Tinubu is busy gagging and stifling the opposition, while corruption-tainted individuals in the APC walk free. |
But Tinubu can rule from his retirement home in France and the UK. Thunder 🔥⚡🔥⚡🔥 all of una there |
helinues:It’s interesting how you’re suddenly allergic to conversations about electoral reforms now that your preferred candidate is in power. You’re asking why the opposition is discussing electronic transmission a year to the election, but wasn’t it the same opposition, including Tinubu’s ACN at a time, that demanded electronic voting when they were out of power? So electoral reform was visionary then, but inconvenient now? You talk about people waking from a coma, yet you conveniently forget that you once created a thread withdrawing your support for this administration because of worsening insecurity and glaring incompetence. Suddenly, you’ve done a complete turnaround and are back to being a loyal defender. So let me ask you; Have the insecurities been resolved? Has the capacity deficit suddenly disappeared? Because from where Nigerians are standing, kidnappings, banditry, and economic hardship have not magically vanished. And here’s the real irony: The same Tinubu who championed electronic voting as an opposition leader is now presiding over a government resisting mandatory electronic transmission of results. So what changed, the principle, or simply the position of power? Electoral reform isn’t something you discuss only when you’re losing. Serious democracies refine their processes continuously. If it was right when ACN demanded it, it is right now.

Former Vice President and presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has expressed concerns that the goals behind the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2014 have not been achieved, and that the nation’s challenges have worsened since then. Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Atiku said the APC was established to address perceived weaknesses in Nigeria’s democracy, particularly issues related to insecurity, the economy, and governance. “We did this exercise in 2014, not so? We came together and formed APC because we felt democracy was faltering, only for us to end up at the same position we found ourselves in 2014, worse,” he said. He added that the problems that existed at the time of APC’s founding have intensified. “In 2014, the major challenges were insecurity, the economy and so on. Now it is even worse than what we fought against,” Atiku said, stressing the need for renewed efforts to strengthen democratic institutions. “We must have that in mind. We must succeed to make sure that we restore true democracy to our country,” he added https://www.vanguardngr.com/2026/02/apc-democracy-has-failed-problems-worse-than-in-2014-atiku/ |
This 70 year old senior domestic servant is accusing the opposition of spreading misinformation, yet failed, woefully and spectacularly, to provide the correct information. Nigerians are demanding that electronic transmission of election results be made mandatory. With over 30 APC governors, you still refused to ensure that. But the moment the opposition insists on it, you rush out a belated statement crying “misinformation.” The irony writes itself. |
Sheuns:Before the radical, don't you think we should try Mr. I have one wrist watch ![]() |
When El-Rufai warned that Tinubu was on his way to becoming Nigeria’s Paul Biya, it sounded like political theatrics. Now, it reads more like a prophecy. Opposition squeezed with some of it leaders arrested and persecuted, civic space shrinking, criticism treated like sedition and an electoral law signed in haste, careful not to make electronic transmission of results mandatory. the pattern is becoming hard to ignore. |
You didn’t kill opposition. You simply made sure it can’t breathe without your permission |
