Itisallright:that’s how the system has been designed long ago. The Europeans and Americans had similar situation of government and institutional corruption, aimed at benefiting a particular set of people until the people demanded and got more political rights. The problem with Africa is either the people are too scared or reluctantly comfortable to make a move to change things( e.g. Nigeria) or some people lead a revolution and simply change the set of people benefiting from the government(e.g. Egypt). It’s an unfair battle between the rich and the poor. We have a long way to go my brother. |
A lot of hatred, unexplainable anger, jealousy is found in most Nigerian youths. We carry over hatred and ethnocentrism from our parents, instantly hating the other youth for no reason, just because he’s of a different religion from other part of the country. This is ignorance at its barest form. Okay, our mates in other places are rising above this, living in peace and enjoying themselves. But here we are putting ourselves in bondage with our own hands. Let’s as youth help in making this country better. It’s the only country we have and we are always going to be judged by outsiders on how things are currently, and not how things were before. That’s the only way we can add an ink for the purpose rewriting history. Peace to your families |
Ikem11:But what if the sweating is simply related to anxiety. Most snake bite patients are very anxious, they think they will die, so they require a bit of sedation most times. |
Everyone knows the elections were rigged by both parties. My question is... for those asking if the evidence is admissible in court, will Atiku( with all his experience) gather up to 50 something lawyers, SANs inclusive, to produce an evidence which is not admissible in court? I don’t think so, even if I’m far from being a lawyer. Let’s see |
izzou:Don’t mind them. Examples of people that didn’t go out to vote today |
Nyamuriflathead:You sound silly. Sorry to say |
cptjacksparrow:I share your views widely. But the bitter truth is that Nigeria is a very unique society and education is very relative in our context. Sad to say, but you and I voting Sowore or Mogelu, would amount to little. Why? Because beyond Abuja, up North, where the voting strength is highest, no one knows them. And education is still an issue there as even the ones that have gone through the schools are still blinded by religious ethnocentrism. If we had an electoral college of elites, they may have stood a chance. It is only a gradual process but I think it is not yet time. my consolation is that at least the process has been birthed and can only grow from here. So for me, the wise thing to do at this point is to vote for the lesser of the two most popular evils, depending on your judgment and personal conviction, while gradually but persistently demanding and advocating for total systematic reform.Cheers |

Addictedtodrugs:haba. Stone someone to death just like that. Na wa o. Please let’s watch what we say before we make ourselves barbarians. |
kehinde1588:Nigerian politicians are very cunning. A politician can hire thugs to come and disrupt his campaign so he can blame the opposition and make them look bad. This is not new in Nigerian politics. Never say never my friend |
We have to be mindful of how we support these Nigerian politicians . A politician in Nigeria can hire thugs to kill people at his own rally so that he can blame the other party. Let’s be warned. Not everything is as it appears to be. Secondly, I’m concerned about the patterns of rigging strategies in various parts of the country. In the North, so many people have multiple voters cards. I don’t know how this came to being. So many people have voters cards belonging to their children not even close to 18 years. So when they want to rig here, it’s simple. But in the south it’s very different. Thugs and guns are employed and lives are lost. These are facts. |
Questions 1. Why would PDP want to use thugs in areas it is almost certain of getting most of the votes( as some are accusing the PDP). Who stands to benefit if there is chaos in the south. 2. What is the role of the army in the electioneering process as stipulated by the constitution 3. Why isn’t the north being targeted since they have the highest voting strength 4. If Atiku wins this election, what does that mean for Bola Tinubu’s political aspirations. 5. If the North always wants a different president from what the south( SS ans SE to be more specific) wants, is it not better to split the country as to eliminate the 95% vs 5% treatment? Please mature answers only. No insults please. Thank you. |

What if they have a mole in APC who has briefed them on what APC discussed today, and they are holding a meeting tomorrow to see how to counter their plans. |
What is wrong is wrong. In as much as he means to discourage people from election malpractice, he should always make reference to what the law says on this. I doubt if he thought this through at all. This kind of statement would have been better suited for offenses with death penalties like terrorism in the instance of Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen. Also, i think it would have been better if he said anybody caught being corrupt will pay with his life, then start with Rotimi Amaechi, then people might applaud him with one hand |
BabaO2:you may be right to an extent, but I am talking facts here. I saw a man yesterday with PVCs of his 5children. The eldest he told me is 17 and he told me almost every one has PVCs for their children regardless of their age. Its my experience I’m talking from. I live in maiduguri by the way, and I know all about the malnutrition and all.. I have an idea about how people operate here. |
But seriously, the number of kids( well below 18 years) with PVCs in the North is alarming. |
At about 1 am Saturday morning 16th feb 2019, I heard sounds of cars moving and people passing outside my gate, at my residence in Polo maiduguri. This never happened. I heard them whispering but could not make out what they were saying. Little did I know that they were evacuating the area because they have been informed by BH that they will attack the area that morning. Later that morning around 5am just as they called for the early morning prayers, people got into the mosques to pray. Then Boko Haram attacked a mosque very close to my house with explosives and sporadic shootings. Many were killed. There after, the boys could not leave because military came. They were hidden by a woman in her house. The military did a clean up around the area and caught them. They killed some who tried to escape and took some to the barracks. These Boko Haram boys are well protected by the indigenous people, and in turn give warnings to some of them when they want to attack. |
helinues:it happened very close to where I live at Polo maiduguri. A very scary sad event I must say, but of course it won’t be reported because BH has been “technically defeated”. |
Emekadollars:being truly neutral means you don’t support any one, which is totally wrong on its own. Say he doesn’t want to influence people’s decision on who to vote, but in politics, you can’t be truly neutral, you have to pick a side of you are to stand a chance of being said to have done the right thing. |
TheAngry1:no vex. I don’t think you understood my post. I didn’t say you have to travel abroad to make it, i only meant younger people in other countries are making waves like France for example and an old man like buhari should be resting retired. Secondly, I didn’t spit on you, I just did because the situation of things I see in this country is disgusting. As for your attempting to curse my family and generations, I don’t believe in all that, and even if I did, it won’t work because I have done nothing wrong to you. Wish you and this country well all the same. Cheers |
Gforce2019:then the country should just be divided. Since the north and the south always have differing opinions on who the president should be. If the north wins, the south suffers and vice versa. Really not fair on the south because the north has more population and also contributes to most problems in the country, while the south continues contributing to the income of the country which everyone shares. This country is just wrong from its foundation |
kollinz1234:have you ever heard that someone resigned his public office in Nigeria? |
TheAngry1:Stay there and be shouting Buhari will win when your mates are making waves in other countries. Think for yourself for God’s sakes. Spits |
This happened very close to my house. And this is a few days after the governor’s convoy was attacked. People are saying it was an already planned political strategy so that election will be postponed in Borno. Wondering to who’s advantage that will play . No doubt BH is being used by politicians now. This government sha, from presidency to governors, e get as e be. God save us all |
Happening now. Boko Haram has just finished an attack in an area called Polo in maiduguri. They attacked a mosque during the early morning prayers. Things are bad here.... |
Cherrybae:speak for yourself and your family bro. |
OmoManU:the professionals started from somewhere, didn’t they? How you Dey think sef |
Larryndelaw:In that case, best wishes to him. As long as it is free and fair. Though there will be no means to verify that the votes actually came from the rich and educated |
Ekpekpee:Is he for real? Lol.Hmmm. Interesting times are here I must say. But I sincerely do feel sorry for his blind ignorant followers |
AllenSpencer:Honestly I was far from impressed with the response he gave. But even if he gives all the support to the police, the policemen receive orders from the IGP, who in turn receives orders from the commander-in-chief. So if oga says stand down,or release those arrested, so will they. You know how Nigeria works my brother |
Just imagine the small man that made the now famous statement. Lol. Don’t know why small people can have issues. |
