AllenSpencer:You are right, the governors have very important roles to play. Having acknowledged that fact, this context is very different. I’m from port harcourt so I know about the security challenges there first hand. I work with an international NGO and last September, we were in Taraba state to carry out an assessment on the IDPs displaced from Lau LGA where Fulani herdsmen had wrecked havoc and we had the privilege of interacting with the governor of the state. He said his hands were tied because the matter is very delicate and it depends on how Abuja wants to tackle it, and and as for him he could not give any direct order to security forces. So you see, this case is very different. Meanwhile, shettima of Borno and Gaidam of yobe get 1billion monthly in security votes but recently he was in Abuja crying for the president to come and save them from Boko Haram. There are issues, and there are issues |
Only the poor ignorant, gullible ,ethnocentric ones like this will vote for buhari, and sadly I must admit that they are quite a handful in the North north. But no doubt, the average plateau Man detests this government. Hope they come out and vote |
lordm:until it kills you |
AllenSpencer:With all due respect,You sound very ignorant about governance in Nigeria. Pardon me, but who is incharge of the police and armed forces ? The governors? If he orders that the perpetrators be brought to book, that will dissuade others from repeating the act, but no he says nothing and acts unperturbed. No problem, shebi Borno state governors convoy was attacked a few days ago by Boko Haram, e go soon reach them at the top |
If you honestly believe President Buhari is the best person to be leading this country at this point of its development, then your education should be questioned seriously. And you must have a very poor sense of judgment. Or you just outrightly hate this country and its citizens , or of course you are benefiting directly from this very mediocre government. Please have change of heart and help remove this disgrace from that office, he doesn’t deserve to go close. If them set exam for buhari and Atiku to write , anybody that scores highest will win, what do you think will be the result. It’s very shameful to have this weak, non innovative man as my president. Hunger no Dey look face o, na all of us e go beat, and na all of us the international community go continue to ridicule .some outsiders actually imagine buhari is the best Nigeria has to offer, can you imagine the insult ? Me personally, keep me and buhari one on one, on all aspects, he can’t match up. I tire, but my one vote will definitely be against him. I urge you to do same |
globemoney:i don’t understand you. What is wrong with copying from China, a country that is working. Personally I believe only Peter Obi will yield more results than buhari and Osinbajo combined |
Desperation, poverty, laziness, lack of values, poor governance, peer pressure, society that celebrates wealth regardless of means. It’s saddening how immediately you mention you are Nigerian, people immediately start threading cautiously around you. |
soberdrunk:what is bad is bad. Condemn jungle justice, also condemn this one. Mind you , any confession gotten from this kind of interrogation should not hold water in court. Like someone rightly said, if he was white,...... |
islandmoon:my thoughts exactly. Yet no one has been arrested and/or sued. Hilarious but not funny |
These people like neglect and suffering it seems. Hold on, isn’t it supposed to be a crime not to vote and inciting other citizens not to do so as well? |
Lordofthewest:he has a right to support whosoever he choses. He has his reasons and is better of than those celebrities pretending not to care about what’s happening in the country. But if I may ask you, who you Dey support sef |
Guzel:this is a simple matter. Vote PDP for presidency and APGA for Governorship. Abia people will have the last laugh |
Smile4daddy:its waste of time bro. Don’t make it seem like your education was a ´waist of time ‘ |
LOL @“ use your index finger to thumbprint ” |
Notasyouthink:SE and SS votes will increase the chances of Atiku winning who is obviously the more tolerant and open-minded one, and by doing so reduce the chances of buhari returning, who I feel is an insult to have as a president bearing in mind the number of intellectuals we have in Nigeria. That being said, if the southeast doesn’t vote, it plays in buhari’s favour and the issue of 95% vs 5% continues for another 4 years minimum . It’s that simple. Mind you, Atiku will have a good number of votes from north central, southwest, as well as pick up some from north east n north west as displayed in his recent rally in kano. Please just vote first of all and let’s see what happens |
justbusy:you are very correct in your statement. I only stated why you have Igbos in large numbers in other regions and why a show of tribalism will be detrimental to them |
HigherEd:what I’m skeptical about is the voter apathy in the southeast. They seem to portray a level of political naivety. I hear some saying sit at home and boycott the election which personally I believe is a diabolical decision to make at this time, owing to the neglect shown to them by this administration. Plus their son is in the mix as vice presidential candidate, maybe it will stir them up to leave their homes and vote. If they do, Atiku will win |
Basic123:una don start already |
justbusy:they can’t survive. The Igbo land mass is small for their population and very barren, hence their need to travel far to other lands to explore. Tribalism will not favor them |
Notasyouthink:what do you think will happen. The winner will be declared based on the numbers that voted. And most likely the person you don’t want will win because you ignorantly decided to boycott the elections. And your suffering might get worse. Be wise.. Please Let’s keep voting until we get the right one. Not voting will only make it easy for the bad ones to have their way |
22brains:Early puberty observed these days is purely related to diet. That is why African-American girls living in the US attain puberty earlier than black girls living in Nigeria. Also girls from rich homes attain puberty earlier than those from poor homes. There’s nothing mystical about this. You are welcome |
Blue3k2:Imagine a situation: we have this board of examiners where everyone who aspires to be a president must go through. The board consists of very high ranking professionals of incorruptible reputations, in various fields of life including science, economics, psychology, agriculture, medicine and health, education, Justicesecurity etc, from different countries in Africa. So you have professors from Ghana, Kenya, Congo, Nigeria, South Africa, and past presidents. etc in the board. Aspiring candidates will take exams and talk about their plans in every sector. All candidates are then assessed and the best 6 are chosen. Thereafter , are allowed to go and contest in various political parties ...Imagine what Africa could become. Just thinking... just thinking |
Sounds good on paper. That being said, I’d like to be certain if this nuclear something has no negative effect on us Nigerians. Before they make us all sterile, as our population growth Dey scare “world people”.Being a Nigeria and growing up in Africa has taught me reason this way. I’m unapologetic about it by the way. We should be looking more inwardly and leave these people alone. Them Dey look for who to use shine |

yarimo:this seems to be the only math you fellows know how to do perfectly. Clap for yourself |
alBHAGDADI:They are questions to the OP actually. I’m just asking to know the import of tithe paying hence the relevance of the post. Will not paying tithe make you go to hell, or will it stop you from being blessed. Just want to know why it’s such an important topic to deserve such long epistle |
alBHAGDADI:and you intentionally left out the “crazy” part. But seriously, you have convinced yourself that if I don’t pay tithe, I will go to hell or what? Or I will not receive blessings? Because I know a lot of people who are not even Christians but are wealthier and more successful than most of us writing these things. What is your point exactly about tithe paying. Will I go to hell for not paying tithe, or will I not be blessed? |
You address people as crazy and foolish because they have a different opinion as you. I stopped reading when I saw those words. I don’t think you are any better than the people you criticise. Hypocrisy! Hypocrisy! Hypocrisy. But before o stopped reading, the few reasons you gave, actually shows you are more confused than the people you call crazy and stupid. Grow up. |
kingshrd:my brother, kindly refer to the figures released by INEC some months back. That of SE was not that bad compared to other regions with similar population |
SarkinYarki:Tinubu and Lagos were there in 2015, but APC beat PDP by only a narrow margin in the South West. There was voter apathy in South East as turn out was very low in that region in 2015. With this decision, SE got the motivation they need to turn out and vote where Atiku will win comfortably. PDP has also got the SS pretty comfortably. PDP will still get a good percentage of votes from the SW regardless. PDap has a good percentage of the North central states, and half the states in NE except Borno, Yobe and maybe Bauchi. APC can take the North West, but PDP will sure get a good number of votes in Kano. So putting all these into consideration, it was an excellent decision |

yankison:I’m sitting down already, so you don’t have to beg. Say something reasonable |
was it my propaganda?
