How will you know when the "free fall" ends?
when panic selling dries up, look at bid and offer status to confirm. The daily losses slow, volume drops, and you start seeing small green days after long red ones. It means sellers are exhausted. Buy in stages sha because the new support can still be broken and it goes further down. you dont want to catch a falling knife by going fully into a stock on full offer immediately

Okay.....the THEME of my message is a bit different from the response, but your feedback is still helpful.
Your recommendation - OF BUYING THE RED - should be the loudest - instead of the mockery and the taunting.

Remember what the Gospel says about people with such character. Ref: Proverbs 24:17-18, Romans 12:15.

Thank you, Boss.
Sorry if my response was harsh in anyway. Don't worry yourself bro, once you know you have a solid dividend paying stock, the market will become more rational by February. No need going to the market to view red, which will mess up your emotions, allow it to bottom out and then buy more if you have cash or wait for the next season.

We are all learning. One new strategy I will start implementing is reducing my exposure in stocks I have poor margin of safety in seasons like this.

Why are some people happy when the market bleeds?

Do you take delight in seeing your fellow brother lose money? Why celebrate another man’s downfall?

How does it even give you joy to come here and keep chanting “red, red, red”?

If this were a village setting, such an attitude would easily be likened to witchcraft.

We need to be more considerate of others — their emotions and mental health — before throwing our unsolicited jabs.

Better days are ahead. 🌱
You need some stock market education. Except for some one in a dead stock, when a sound stock like Aradel, Zenith etc is bleeding it means the market is begging investors to come and make money because it is very temporary and won't last long, latest by February the bull is back.

So if you have a sound stock that is bleeding you should be happy to be able to buy more at a cheaper rate.

The people unhappy are inexperienced in the market and have no cash to buy more.

November- December is known as discount season and every stock bleeds as some people prepare for Christmas celebrations. The market has seasons and cycles.

My break even price is 534 for Aradel, I have reasonable safety. I am waiting for it below 650 to average up, if the heavy buyer coming in around 700 will allow it to drop to 650.
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ogawisdom(m):
Discount season is here

Whatever you do don't miss the Aradel bus, saw it around 694 earlier today but smart investors hit it up again to above 720.

It's possible to accumulate more below 650 before the end of the discount season and it goes above 1000 by February

There is a heavy buyer of Aradel that comes in once it's around 700 to accumulate, he is the one keeping it above 700. Once he comes bid -offer ratio favours sellers.

They will resolve their issues. The problem for America is not the genocide.
The problem is that 15% tax on imported fuel. It's going to totally eliminate importation if dirty fuel from Europe and America. Genocide didn't start today.

They will reach another deal that will calm trump. If not, trump will try to scatter things for our president in the next election, using genocide as an excuse.
Well American is all about their interest, they really don't care about Christians in Nigeria

You've raised a crucial point that gets to the heart of a major national dilemma.

It's absolutely true that for decades, we have advocated for local refining to end the paradox of importing what we produce. The emergence of substantial local capacity from Dangote, Aradel, and upcoming projects like BUA's is a monumental achievement that deserves recognition. The government's intent to protect these investments and discourage imports is a logical step from a long-term industrial policy perspective.

However, it's also important to understand that the public's reaction isn't necessarily a "conspiracy." For many, the concern is practical and immediate. This tariff, coming right after the removal of fuel subsidies, is perceived as a second major blow that could lock in high fuel prices. The fear is that without robust competition and transparent regulation, we may simply be replacing expensive imports with expensive local fuel, with the Nigerian consumer bearing the cost.

So, the real debate isn't whether we should have local refining—nobody is against that. The debate is about how we manage this transition. We must champion the strategic goal of energy security while also demanding a framework that ensures fairness and affordability for the citizens who are ultimately funding this national project.
There will be local competition among indigenous refinery which will check mate the fear of monopolistic market.

A reduced FX cost will benefit Nigerian economy very well because we are an import dependent country and this policy will help in that direction.

Fuel price and FX will be stabilised (may be not cheap but stable price) in the long term which will be wonderful for our economy.

Dangote is about to get richer, dude is a typical AGIP. The good thing is that it will appreciate naira and reduce FX pressure.

We as investors will still benefit by buying into Dan petroleum refinery shares too

Thanks.

Quick question. If it is starting in 2026, do you know which price will be used as benchmark?

E.g. If my OandO shares were bought in 2021 and they are on 700% appreciation to date, will they calculate the CGT on the 700% appreciation? Will the calculation starts with the price on 01/01/2026 as benchmark?
I will like to know.

If they won't, then it is better for one to sell everything to zerorise the gains of many years back.

This is very important, I will appreciate if all the professors in the house can assist in clarifying this.
You people should stop worrying about CGT, a law is not retrospective. If only our government will not loot the tax income it could have helped to improve our systems.

Anyway I am planning to take position in the serious market correction it may trigger, either way bull or bear I am ready.

NAHCO fell today after a good result and I took some, but should be profit takers.

My wife still keeps contact with her married ex. She says they parted peacefully so they are still friends.
I didn't have an issue with it.

But I recently found out he sends money and gifts to my inlaws and they are all so happy with that. Even celebrating this in my presence and saying I shouldn't be jealous or anything because their daughter knows she's married and their relationship was in the past.

This doesn't sit well with me.

I also know for a fact that my parents wouldn't accept unsolicited gifts from my ex or that of my siblings.
Having senseless in laws seal your fate, who do you want to talk to now to talk to your wife angry

Before peace there may be war. Tell your wife to stop as it is a huge disrespect to you and if she doesn't take drastic action that is if you are man enough.

Until you do something drastic they won't take you serious. Eg. Send her out of your house. It is cheating.

With 2027 around the corner and vote buying now in USD, a wise investor must have assets in USD and other currencies, its part of diversification.

You diversify across asset classes, sectors, currencies, even geographical locations for bigger boys.
