Why is the sin - actors trying to change the constitution illegally? Has these changes been approved by 2/3rd of the state houses of assembly?

The agitation for delta state did not start during the Babangida regime as postulated in this write-up.

The land procured at Osubi for the creation of the Delta state capital is still state government property till date.

Request for a Delta state, with a capital around Warri/ Effurun and Osubi axis was already in existence in the 70s.

The Itsekiri's opposed the the citing of the state capital at anywhere near Warri, fearing it will reduce the dominance of the Olu and also force them to lose land to the state.

And for correction, Babangida chose Asaba as state capital because his wife was from Asaba, that was the genesis of the bad blood towards Asaba. A place like Kwale would have been far better than Asaba as state capital.

I don't have anything against the North, on the contrary I pity the common folks up north who has big problems thrust on them.

The children of the commoners are killed daily up North, some are kidnapped and forced attack their own communities. Other poor ones are kidnapped and made wives to terrorists against their wish.

Those are not the ones I have problem with. You should ask your self, what has northern leaders done to solve the problem in the north? Have they done enough to solve the problems the north is facing? And if they have not done enough, what should be the punishment for such northern leaders who have not done enough? Is the requisite punishment being meted to those northern leaders who looked the other way while their subjects where being trampled upon.

The problem with the north starts with their leaders. They are very selfish.

The Niger delta had the problem of militants, their leaders went into the creeks to placate them, pressuring them to lay down their arms. The south east ones had the dreaded bakassi group that were meting out jungle justice in the south east. The south east leaders were able to cage them. The yoruba odua group ones put it upon themselves to trade blows with hausas in the south west, they have been prevailed upon to live and let live.

Quick to judge? Hell no! We have watched the macabre dance of the northerners since independence, they have been doing this dance since 1966, using violence as instruments of negotiation. It is the northern thing, they kill without thinking about it. Just that this time they chose to be killing their own brothers and sisters and kidnap some of them to use as wives.

I dont know if you know any southerner in Boko Haram, but when they come online to glorify the atrocities they have commited, they speak Hausa, a northern language. I am yet to hear them speak Edo, Ijaw, Ibo or Yoruba. Maybe you have heard them speaking southern languages in your meeting with them. You have to fill us in there

Who will pay for the difference in cost between the cost of the raw material and finished product. Who bears the cost of the refining cost and distribution costs, what about profits for all the people along the value chain from the crude oil stage to the point where the fuel is sold at the pumps.

For your information, Ibori was way ahead of his peers in terms of development of his state. The south south politicians have not been able to control the media that is why the the sw dominated media can label anyone of them a crook and it sticks.

But people on the ground compare politicians while voting and they vote for who ever they think represent their interest more. In this case Ibori's daughter got the votes of her local community, respect their vote.

You did not answer the question of what happened to those who stole more than Ibori. Your state governors since 1999 have been stealing your state dry, what has happened to them, can you account for the security votes your governor pockets every month?

There is no community in Delta state that can claim that Ibori did not do a project in their community, none.

With my little experience relating with the Fulani herdsmen I understand they are very friendly when you take time to reason with them.
They will go out of their way to protect you and your properties once you are friends.
I have had series of discussions with them and they are eager and willing to plant grasses for their cows.

They also said cows are bigger when the wandering stress is reduced.
Some of them pay to farmers to purchase maize stalk and cassava peels for the cows.
The plan is to sink some boreholes at some designated areas so herds men can fetch for their animals.

You seem not to understand the game plan, the fulani man will always find an opportunity to fatten his cows on your crops, that is why you have problems between them and farmers all over the country.

I once had them destroy my 50 acre farm in Delta state, of course when you complain to their elders they will pretend to be sympathetic while in truth they don't care about your loss.

cows are not like goats that wander off on their own and destroy crops, cows are actively taken to the farms and the fulani herdsmen watch while the cows are destroying your crops, believe me, it is not a mistake, it is deliberate.

I my case I got boys to lay ambush and caught one of the herdsmen in my farm, got him arrested and they paid me 200k as damages in 3 installments. The police could not do more than that, they simply advised my to buy a gun and shoot any cow that comes to my farm.

Now I have resolved to put both barbed wire fence and electric fence on any farm where fulani herdsmen are a threat.

You need to learn, in the 21st century and access to internet you should not be thinking like the way we were thinking years back.

If you have a farm and cows are likely to be a problem, simply fence it off with barbed wire. All it takes is a few strands of barbed wire fencing and the cows will leave your farm alone.

You can even go further and install solar powered electric fence on the perimeter of the farm, both abok.i and his cows will avoid your farm like a plague.

your socialist suggestion of creating grazing land for uneducated fulani cattle herders does not hold water, if they want grass they should plant grass by themselves or buy grass to feed their cows, afterall they sell the cows at the end of the day.

communal grazing lands will be overgrassed, poorly looked after and will be conter productive on the long run.

To solve your problem, install barbed wire fence and encourage others to install barbed wire fences on their farms.

I think it is a bad idea to reside illegally in any country. By doing so you open yourself to possible abuse. You can easily be blackmailed into doing what you normally will not want to do like prostitution or slave labour when you are an illegal immigrant.

On the other hand a salary of 70,000 naira for a single lady in Nigeria is not too bad.plan your life to always be on the right side of the law. Try to get a more paying job or do a business in addition to your job if you need more money.

My simple advice, stay on the right side of the law always, it has a strong way of preventing lots of regrets in future.
