Nigerians have been insulting Jonathan for the past four years, the guy is going on without minding the insults, if they heap half that amount of insult on this babe's father, the girl will surely commit suicide on behalf of her father.

When you go online on ebay to buy stuff, don't you see the pictures of what you are buying? I want to see the pictures to convince myself if and what type of fertiliser you have.

If you don't post pictures of the fertiliser you claim to have, then that will leave a big question mark on how genuine your claim is.

Am out until I see photo.
PoliticsRe: Buhari With Classmates In 1958(photo) by ogb5(m): 8:58pm On Jan 25, 2015
What is so difficult in Buhari writing to WAEC to release his certificate to INEC ? The time used in searching for old pictures to use in fooling the public is more than enough for Buhari to ask WAEC to make the result public.

If someone asking for our votes can not respect us and show us his certificate, how can we call him to account to us if he becomes president and starts commanding all the instruments of state. I foresee buhari at best ignoring public calls for accountability when ever he gets public authority and he might even use instruments of state against anyone who ask buhari to give account.

PoliticsRe: A 1985 Newspaper Headline (buhari's Administration) On State Of Unemployment by ogb5(m): 5:16am On Jan 17, 2015

Very big LIE. There were no celebrations when Buhari was overthrown. A lot of doubt was cast on the motives of IBB and his group. The coup was partly financed by Abiola who paid dearly for it and was betrayed by IBB on June 12. I know there is a spiritual regression by most Jonathan supporters who now seem to support the most corrupt head f State nigeria has ever had and the annuller of a democratic elections in Nigeria but it is all indicative of the shock that has seized the Jonathan camp. Reading IBB coup speech at a campaign rally is the lowest of the lows by a sitting president only exceeded by denying the Chibok girls. When God turns his back this is what you see.

Buhari never retrenched workers, all the measures he put in place was to actually keep workers in employment and implement short term solutions to economic problems without devaluation that would have enslaved Nigerians.
Those economic solutions were right for those times and most third world economies were doing the same. What Buhari will do when he comes into power is support local manufacturing and ensure that demand is stimulated within the economy for people to afford goods and services. Expect a boom for the Solid Minerals sector, agriculture with guaranteed profitable pricing, strict anti corruption profile and yes if you are a trader, try to add value to what you are selling. Jonathan has reduced our foreign exchange reserves to less than five months of exports, PDP has a instituted a regime where recurrent expenditure is bloated with legislators taking home $2million each. Billionaires are not paying taxes, one third of oil and gas receipts are stolen. Very big mess and it is not idle chat, you and I will startling it fate elections if nothing is done fast.
You did not say amen to the prayer I offered for people like you.

Let me quote it again in case you did not see it previously.

ogb5:
Anyone who wish Buhari on Nigerians in this day and age, may God wish the sufferings Nigerians passed through in 1984 and 1985 on such a person. Let those pushing for Buhari say amen to this prayer.
Coming online to lie that Buhari did not retrench workers is very low of you, are you also going to say he did not owe workers salaries for months without paying?

You are writing as if Buhari knows anything about economics, what is the economic justification of his cancellation of the Lagos metroline project and making the country to pay over 60% of the contract sum as fine for the cancellation.
PoliticsRe: 6 Types Of Voters In Nigeria. What Type Are You? by ogb5(m): 11:03pm On Jan 16, 2015
I think I am a cynic.

Jonathan is not perfect but has brought some level of progress, but he did not do what I wanted him to do most, that is put many Northern leaders in jail for causing the death of thousands of Nigerians through their stupid insurgency against the nation.

Buhari is not competent to even be a commissioner in a state, so why should I assist to make him president? a post far higher than his competence.

Will Buhari understand the dangers of genetically modified food to the Nigeria populace. Will Buhari understand crop improvement and how it can lead to a secured nation.

With Buhari's 150 cows roaming through several states, followed by dagger drawing Fulanis, with the cows eating peoples crops and the fulani herdsmen raping and killing farmers to ensure easy passage of their cows, will Buhari understand the requirement for modern pastoral farming?

Can Buhari take an informed decision on whether we should use uranium or Thorium for the proposed nuclear plants. Does he even know what Uranium is?

With the low level of Buhari's education, will he understand vaccination and how it prevents diseases or will he tell us to drink salt water to prevent ebola and polio?

Will Buhari understand demographics and how citing projects based on demographics generates the greater rewards for the nation or will Buhari simply do what he did at PTF and site developmental projects purely based on regional sentiments.

Since Buhari refused to complete secondary school, we he understand such elementary economics like factors to consider in locating industries or will he site another refinery in sokoto, 1000km away from the source of raw material.

I am a cynic, both candidates are not perfect, but Buhari should not even be a candidate in a sane nation. He is not qualified to even be a commissioner, so I stick with Jonathan

PoliticsRe: A 1985 Newspaper Headline (buhari's Administration) On State Of Unemployment by ogb5(m): 10:40pm On Jan 13, 2015
It is only children they can deceive by saying Buhari is some sane person. The adults who witnessed Buhari's wicked regime in 1983 to 1985 will never vote for him.

I can still remember vividly the wild jubilations in the street when the Idiot Buhari was overthrown in 1985.

Forward ever, never should our dear country be made to pass through the stupid economic policies of Buhari again.

He man was retrenching workers daily, teachers and other civil servants were owed salaries for up to 10 months, the idiot changed the colour of the currency, forcing everyone to send their hard earned money to the bank and refusing to allow the banks to release money to the owners, imagine bank rationing your own money to you, while your family is starving for lack of money to buy basic necessities.

Anyone who wish Buhari on Nigerians in this day and age, may God wish the sufferings Nigerians passed through in 1984 and 1985 on such a person. Let those pushing for Buhari say amen to this prayer.

Jonathan is a fool. Even a taxi driver in lagos will tell you that obj can hold a grudge for decades. What are his advisers paid for? One day you abuse him, next day you send party chairman to beg with half a dozen governors in tow. Even obj knows a fake disciple and Jonathan should just man up, ignore obj, and lose the election with the remaining scraps of dignity he can muster. Like his double talk about MEND, no one can be sure what the President's opinion on a topic might be from week to week. A gormless individual who has been elevated far beyond his capacity. #pathetic

What Jonathan is doing is called campaigning.

During election you reach out to everyone and explain your stand.

Obj can choose to go against his party, that his his business, but to move our democracy forward there must be party discipline.

It is shameful that OBJ is in PDP and he is entertaining opposition candidates, that is anti-party activity anywhere in the world, our constitution, with the many ambiguities in it, make it very difficult to enforce party discipline currently, OBJ might be getting away with it his indiscipline today but it will be remembered someday. PDP will use it against him in future and APC will not trust him to be loyal.

We are looking at 1000 bags per month for starters.

But I wasn't too keen on importing cos of all the gridlocks associated with such. If anything happens to a particular cargo at a time when we are low on inventory, it would affect production. That's why I prefer to make use of those already imported or produced in the country.

Do you have or know anyone that sells in the country? @ogba5
the only producers of LDPE in nigeria is the eleme petrochemical plant. I believe you will not be able to buy from them because they have their own distribution chain, you can search for their contact and see if they can direct you to one of their distributors. I don't have any contact I can give to you, but if you are in the east you can get from Aba or Onitsha. The best way to get a local supplier is to liaise with people doing bottled water in your vicinity, some use polyethelene in the making of the water bottles so they should be able to guide you on where to buy locally.

Note that their are different grades of LDPE, make sure you buy the one suitable for the application you intend to use it for.
PoliticsRe: See You In 2019: An Open Letter By A Pained Woman To Buhari - Sahara Reporters by ogb5(m): 8:39pm On Jan 13, 2015
Well written piece. The writeup is not about the office of first lady but about what women has achieved politically in the last couple of years. From 0% female representation in Buhari's govt in the 80's to over 35% representation presently. It will be a shame if we go back to the old days where women were suppressed politically.

Suppressing women means suppressing 50% of the population and that is not good for our development.

You can go ahead and vote for the losing candidate against the tide of CHANGE that is coming that will not disturb God's plan for Nigeria.
So any undecided voter is a pdp apologist. Please get a life. Many countries have problems greater than what we have in nigeria, it does not stop their citizens from being rational in their reasoning.

Truth be told, we have certainly made some progress in the past 4 yrs of Jonathan's rule. We are not there yet but we are making progress.

Even the increased confidence in the electoral process tthat is leading some to believe that the opposition can defeat the ruling party is good progress on it's own right.
PoliticsRe: Cloned PVCs Cannot Be Used On Election Day – Jega by ogb5(m): 10:02am On Jan 13, 2015
There has been a good electoral reform under Jonathan.

We now have a permanent voter register with biometric information embedded, this is quite good.

However, the system can still be compromised in the following way.
1. registration of unqualified people like children and foreigners. CPC used alot of children voters in 2011, APC might want to repeat it this year.
foreigners have always voted in the north, I doubt if that will change this year

2. Hacking of the voters register and duplication of the voters register. It is very naive of the INEC chairman to state that the voters card will be useless if duplicated. even as secured as bank debits cards are, people still duplicate them and use them successfully. Anyone who hacks into the INEC database will be able to get enough data on voters to duplicate genuine voters cards. they can even swap their own list of ficticious registered voters with the names of geniune voters in the database and disenfrancise the real voters on the election day. It will be very unwise for INEC to underestimate the potential threat from hacking of the database.

3. no voting has ever achieved 100% turnout, the unused ballots can still be allocated to a candidate, thereby changing the choice of the voters.

But the electoral infrastructure we have today is best in the history of the country and great thanks to Jonathan for it.

PoliticsRe: If General Mahamadu Buhari Wins... by ogb5(m): 9:07pm On Jan 11, 2015
if Buhari wins, boko haram will reduce their attacks since they will not want to embarrass Buhari who has been their sympathiser.
The north will get back to the business of federal contracts, collecting easy money for inflated supply contracts to the FG. This has been a very grave loss to them for the past couple of years.

Tinubu will quickly realise that the Northerners are smarter than him.

The south west will resume a weak agitation for true federalism in 8 yrs time, after realising that Buhari who carried on at PTF as if there is no South West will not cultivate love for the South West overnight.

Many of the poor people who voted Buhari will still remain poor, because govt policy did not make them poor in the 1st place.
Buhari does not have the magic wand to change the economic fortunes of the country hence Nigeria will remain a 3rd world country.

The planned nuclear power projects will be forgotten, emphasis will be placed on energy sources in the Niger delta

The Niger delta will be hot, petroleum production will be sabotaged

The country will have less money for development due to the sabotage of oil installations
PoliticsRe: GEJ And The Corruption Mantra: Is He Corrupt Or Just Misunderstood? by ogb5(m): 11:00pm On Jan 10, 2015
It seems Jonathan did not understand how corruption has shaped Nigerian politics over the years.

Corruption is the magic word to get the southerners on the side of any leader.

Just come out to say you will tackle corruption and the southern press will line up behind you. The first coup in the 60s was to fight corruption, the Buhari overthrow of shagari was claimed as fighting corruption even when it was clear that nigeria's problem stemmed from falling oil price then. The Okhar coup against Babangida was claimed as fighting corruption, Abiola was voted for in 1993 because folks felt that he was rich and as such will have no reason to steal the common wealth.

Obasanjo simply labelled his political enemies as corrupt people and unleashed the efcc on them, to the praise of the gullible masses.

ask any Nigerian today between Tinubu and Ibori's who is more corrupt and most will tell you that Ibori is the more corrupt of the two, forgetting that Ibori impacted positively more on the lives of the people of Delta state than Tinubu did to the people of Lagos. This simply came about because Ibori was successfully branded as a thief and Tinubu as a progressive.

All Jonathan needed to have done to win the praise of the masses was to have labelled some folks as corrupt and made so much noise over their head. The southern press would have been singing how much they love Jonathan for fighting corruption, even though at the end of the day no one will actually go to jail for corruption. Just like in Obasanjo case, majority of those who took the rap for "corruption " where his political enemies.

Jonathan instead of making noise about corruption decided that the best way to frustrate corruption was to tighten govt processes. Instead of continuing the corrupt oil subsidy, he opted to end it out right thereby blocking that loophole, the mafia didn't like that, the masses did not understand the game. Instead of continuing the agricultural subsidy, he chose to register farmers and give them direct access to agricultural inputs thereby eliminating some corruption in the agricultural sector.

Southern Nigerians like melodrama, just make some drama about corruption and they will come dancing around you.

As for the northerners only God knows what they want.
To many of them, unless you are from the north, you are not good enough to rule.

And what benefit do you bring to the US aside always begging for aid, zmapp, military support etc? Your oil which is the only thinkg Nigeria has was never a major supplier to the US so what do you bring to the table?
Mr man, Nigeria did not ask for aid, we asked for trade. We said sell military equipment to us so we can fight those that are disturbing us.

You ask what we bring to the table, we bring dollars required for the purchase. That is all the world trade organisation requires us to bring in order to buy goods and services.

And what does Egypt and Israel give to the US before they became recipient of US aid year in year out?
Or what did ISIS give to the US before they were built with us support?

PoliticsRe: Economic Truth About Why Jonathan Queued For Milk In 1983!! by ogb5(m): 10:11am On Jan 09, 2015
OP you are insulting those of us who went through the horror of the Buhari evil regime in 1984 to 1985.

It is evil to want to re-write history just to sell a dummy politician.

No one in any country of the world like to spend days in queue trying to buy bread to feed his family. today the Syrians are queuing to buy bread due to the war in Syria, some are bombed while on the queue, It will be criminal to claim that the Syrians queuing for bread today like it.

Under Buhari not only did people queue for bread, we queued for cooking oil, we queued for washing soap, we queued for salt. many people collapsed and died from exhaustion in the queues. And this was a time when Nigeria was not at war.

And to worsen things soldiers were flogging people mercilessly on the queues, who likes to be flogged? why do you think Fela called Buhari a craze man in animal skin?

Your claim that profiteering was reduced shows your lack of understanding of economics, just like buhari, people go into business to make profit.
Using the military to break the locks of peoples shops and auctioning private goods at less than the cost price was not only wrong, it was evil. At the end of the day shops like Kingsway, Bata, Leventis have to close shop. People like you go to malls today to gloss around, the same malls Buhari killed by auctioning away their goods and rendering bankrupt in 1984.

Children who did not suffer through the economic stupidity of Buhari in 1984 and 1985 can vote for him, but people like us who saw the effects of his stupidity leading to scarcity of simple things like bread, sugar, oil, salt and soap and the closing of many factories will never vote for Buhari to come and repeat his economic stupidity.
Foreign AffairsRe: US Opens Up On Why Nigeria Cancelled Military Training by ogb5(m): 9:19am On Jan 09, 2015
Real friends are those that stand with you in times of difficulty. US have not stood with Nigeria in our time of need.

Israel murders the Palestinians daily yet the US give them free weapons in form of military aid, they don't bring the human rights bla bla bla into it. Nigeria is not even asking for military aid, we are ready to pay for the weapons yet the US opposes the sales of weapons to Nigeria.

The US has never been a good friend of Nigeria, they are simply looking for what to fleece from us and at the same time trying to dictate how and when we deal with the terrorists within our midst.

Time to stop US wheat imports
