PoliticsRe: Arrest Of Card Reader Company Technicians Won’t Affect Elections, Jega by ogb5(m): 8:27am On Mar 28, 2015
Two technicians were arrested and immediately APC was informed of the arrest. That simply shows that APC was in communication with the company that produced the PVC prior to the arrest of those folks.

The question we should be asking is what business does APC have with the producers of the PVC, did APC contract the company to produce duplicate PVCs for them?

The security agencies have a constitutional role to prevent criminal activities and if APC succeed in convincing staff of Act Technologies Limited, producers of the PVC, to produce duplicate PVCs for them, then we need to support the security agencies in getting the criminals arrested.

Enough of these propaganda from APC
PoliticsRe: Don't Thwart The Will Of The People With Fake Elections Result, APC Warns by ogb5(m): 7:57am On Mar 28, 2015
APC and propaganda are co-joined twins.

You can not seperate APC from lies. There are already preparing the mind of their foolish followers to reject any result that does not favour them.

There should be freedom of expression, but people that abuse freedom of expression like lying mohammed needs to be punished for telling lies
PoliticsRe: Suit Seeking To Disqualify Buhari Adjourned To Wednesday 25th march 2015 by ogb5(m): 3:38pm On Mar 24, 2015
They should have closed this case long before now. Why does the judiciary always delay critical cases.

The case of the defection of some legislooters from PDP to APC is still in court 1 yr after the case was started.

This Buhari case, trying to disqualify him will be meaninglesss if it is not concluded before the election.
PoliticsRe: Is Aisha Buhari A Rape Victim? by ogb5(m): 3:27pm On Mar 24, 2015
No wonder Buhari refused to debate.

He does not want anyone to ask him his view on child marriage and what he will do to stop rape if elected

I just pity Nigeria where the worst of the worse can stand for presidential elections and really stand a chance of winning

They better be worried.

If there is serious crises in Nigeria, 100million refugees from Nigeria will sink the entire economy of Africa, Ghana being an English speaking neighbour will be among the 1st to bear the brunt.
PoliticsRe: How Nigeria Buhari Went From ‘ruthless Ex-dictator’ To ‘weak Leader’ by ogb5(m): 1:56pm On Mar 24, 2015
OP, Buhari has always been a weak leader.

Everyone knows Idiagbon, the deputy to Buhari in 1984 to 1985, because Idiagbon, the deputy, was the power base of that administration.
Remember the speed with which Buhari was sacked when Idiagbon went to Saudi on pilgrimage.

Who remembers the deputy of other military leaders? Go around and ask who was the deputy to Ironsi, or gowon, or Murtala or Obasanjo, even deputies to recent administration like babangida and Abacha regimes are not well remembered, but everyone remembers Idiagbon.

It is the weakling qualities in Buhari that is drawing rebels like Amaechi and crooks like Tinubu to Buhari. They simply feel they can use Buhari's popularity among the fanatics to get to the corridors of power and use Buhari's weakness to get unfettered access to the nations wealth.

Have you bothered to wonder what Tinubu thinks he can gain that is propelling him to work tirelessly for a Buhari presidency?
AgricultureRe: Invest In My 20 Hectare Watermelon/cucumber Farm by ogb5(m): 3:01pm On Mar 23, 2015
jasper7:
Last week, when I came back to owerri, I went to the market, to buy some fruits for my fridge. The Lady selling the fruits told me the small ball of watermelon I was pricing was N500. I was flabbergasted! Is this not the same watermelon that is sold for N100 in wholesale?

It got me angry, and I made up my mind that my watermelon farm that I have been delaying for so long must start up immediately.

Also, my cucumber has been in demand of recent, naturally I sell my cucumber within imo state, but now I am getting calls from Rivers, Delta, Abia, Edo and Cross River states for supply and my little 2hectare farm can no longer meet up with the demand.

So, I have decided to take the bull by the horn now, I have secured 20 hectares in the Hastom Green City at Ogbomosho, Thanks to Hotmas911.

The Land has been cleared, we are moving in next week for Land preparation.

Everything is set. The market, Labour, technical team and Land. the only thing that is left is the farm input.

I am taking up 10hectares personally, and opening up the remaining 10hectares for interested investors.

The ROI is a minimum, or over 50% in 5 months.

If you know me well, you'll know that I say only what I am sure of
I am interested.

What is the minimum amount one can invest and what is the maximum amount one can invest

BusinessRe: High Cost Of Clearing Forces Importers To Abandon Goods At Seaports by ogb5(m): 9:41am On Mar 22, 2015
cost of clearing goods in Nigeria is very irrational. I sent a car to nigeria recently and paid 400k to clear a car I bought for less than 400k.

I sent some goods of less that 200usd to Lagos airport by airfreight and they were charging me 70,000 naira to clear a goods whose cost price is about 35,000 naira. Duty and cost of clearing should be a function of the cost of the goods, in Nigeria, they just come up with several fixed charges not related to the cost of the goods that swell up the cost of clearing.

As an example, why will the Nigeria Aviation handling company request for a 50,000 naira fixed charged for every goods that weighs between 1kg and 500kg taken through the cargo section of the Nigeria airport?

So if I seng a 1kg shoe by cargo to Nigeria, i have to pay 50,000 naira to the Nigeria aviation handling company, before paying customs duty on the goods and other terminal charges. It is crazy

Pavore9:
l did mention horticulture on the first page, living in Nairobi and seeing what is going on, l swore never to have anything to do with cassava farming, let those who are in love with it continue! Coming to flowers, Kenya and Kenyans are reaping it big from flower export as every night different airlines air-freights flowers to Europe for sale the next morning as 70% of roses sold in European Supermarkets are from Kenya. Most
painful is that Nigerians import those same flowers from Europe!

Anyone that tells me that their weather favours flower growing more than Nigeria is high on fermented plantain root (l have drank it grin). Our weather distribution is vast just like Kenya's. Their Northern part is just like ours dry and dusty though there are places as cold like Scotland.l could liken Nairobi's weather to that of the Middle-belt. We just lack the will and capacity to be involved in it.

l would rather do vegetables like cabbage, lettuce, carrots, French beans, Eggplants etc as these crop accrue more income at a shorter time frame than the traditional cassava we are used to though there are also profit in it but the market structure does not favour the farmer who spent many months on the farm but individuals who are involved after it leaves the farm. huh

This links can give anyone an idea of what l am talking about.

PoliticsRe: FG Killer Squad Targeting Opposition : APC by ogb5(m): 4:02pm On Mar 11, 2015
FG has no reason to kill anyone in Rivers State. APC and noise making.

Rivers people have organised themselves into cults and have been killing themselves since the time of Odili.

Right from the time Jonathan was governor of Bayelsa state, he has maintained that his political ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian. Jonathan has not been killing or jailing his opponents, he is not about to start now.

lastpage:
Thank you for reminding these mofos!
They dont know jerk about electricity generation and distribution yet they are all ranting ignorantly!

Government OWNS all "Power generation".

Discos OWN all "Transmission/Distibution"

The Generated Power runs through the National Grid..... owned in-part (by direct assignment) the DISCOS.

If Fashola constructs say a 300MW plant in Lagos and wants to distribute it to Lagosians, he NEEDS TO USE THE CURRENT DISTRIBUTION INFRASTRUCTURES ('Nepa' Pole, Wire, Transformers, Sub stations, e.t.c )

These infrastructure currently is held in trust by the DISCOS (through payment of License to the Fed Govt)....for which they are authorised to collect money from the "Public" (when they buy "Electricity Cards/Monthly Bills) ...who use the transmitted power

Thus you can see why Fashola said "iff" they can sign their concession to/with him?
No point generating power if you cant distribute it while collecting payment for its use.

Until Fashola has a "contract" saying you are allowed to use the current Transmission/Distribution infrastructure of say Ikeja DISCO.... he cant attempt what most ignorant people here are criticising.

Like they say, "Ignorance is Bliss"
. undecided

You are the ignorant one who knows nothing about the deregulation policy.

You boldly come online to claim that the generation companies still belong to govt, can you explain to us why former PHCN staff were paid off, infact why are they called former PHCN staff.

Hope you know you can cure yourself from the self imposed hypnosis by APC propaganda

Power generation by State Government that is above 10MWs is illegal to be handled by State government according to the Law except it will generate the Power and transmit to the National Grid.

Are you educated about it now? cure yourself of ignorance first before commenting foolishly.
Do you know the mega watts of electricity generated by Rivers state at Omoku, Trans Amadi and at Eleme. You need to travel out of your birth place and see what others are doing. It is people like you that are singing praises on Fashola for commissioning expensive generators.

Some smart governors will use the deregulation of electricity generation and distribution to wean their states from reliance on the national grid, many of you will be caught offguard
PoliticsRe: I Can Provide Stable Power In Eight Months - Fashola by ogb5(m): 10:07pm On Mar 10, 2015
Fashola is a disgrace for saying this.

Power Generation and distribution has been deregulated by Jonathan. Any body, whether state govt, local govt or private individual can generate any amount of power today and distribute it. Even the Federal govt has made it possible for state govts to transmit power within their states. Delta state is building their own generation and transmission network, while Fashola is pulling wool over the eyes of the usual praise singers.

So nothing is holding Fashola from generating electricity.

On the bright side, in 16yrs of Tinubu/Fashola rule in lagos, they have generated 47 mega watts of electricity out of the shortfall of 10,000 mega watts that is praise worthy. They only have 9,953 mege watts to go.
At this rate in will take only 3,388 yrs to generate the outstanding 9,953 mega watts.

It is not too long, considering that Rome, was not built in a day, hopefully the Fashola praise singers should be able to wait for 3,388 yrs for electricity.

Idiots

You are very heartless and selfish,People narrated their grief and you call it a SUPER STORY?we dont need an herbalist to tell us GEJ is the worst president ever,i can't just understand why he would allow the killings to go on for 6years and start acting now because of election,Bokoharam that Obasanjo crushed in just 2 weeks
Is it that you genuinely do not know the problem or you are simply playing confused.

No president wants war during his reign. Jonathan wanted peace in the north, he offered amnesty, it was refused, he sent soldiers to clear out boko haram, northern elders where singing genocide and playing politics with it. Even some elements within the military were revealing military secrets to boko haram thereby making the efforts of the army almost useless.

The verdict is that strong force from the north wanted the north to be on fire to prove a point. They have made their point that they can make the govt to look weak, but on the overall scheme of things, who loses.

Jonathan has said if he loss the election he will go home, will the dead Northerners come back to life after a northerner becomes president?
PoliticsRe: Discussion Thread On The Reliablity Of INEC Card Readers. by ogb5(m): 7:09am On Mar 08, 2015
MzJackBaueress:
The test run conducted yesterday on the card readers in some selected states in the six geopolitical zones were successful in some states like Lagos and Delta while it was a huge failure in Kano.
Kano is one of the states in Nigeria with the highest collection of PVCs and it will be worrisome if many voters will be disenfranchized because the card readers rejected their PVCs during the election. This will surely affect votes in favour of APC from Kano state which is an APC state.

If the test run of the card readers in Kano was a failure, there's every probability that other northern states with APC stronghold might be affected too.

Card readers might reduce the chances of rigging but at the same time disenfranchize so many voters especially from the north. The latter should be of more concern to APC.

APC supporters what do you think?

Cc
Obiagelli,sincerenigerian,ibnsultan,orlandoowoh,demdem,cleverly,egift,koboko69,Gbawe,keneking,sachris...etc
If all Nigerians think like you, then the country is in trouble. So because the card readers might reduce votes in APC strongholds you are now against it.

You did not check whether the votes reduced in Kano were from the cards kept aside for rigging.

Note that the card reader is designed to reduce votes.

Multiple votes, proxy votes, under age votes are some of the votes to be targeted for reduction. So try to be patriotic and support initiatives that will help in eliminate vote rigging.
AgricultureRe: FG Unveils N45bn Sugar Project In North-west Nigeria by ogb5(m): 9:56am On Mar 04, 2015
We also need agricultural projects in the south. Keeping most of our agricultural capacity in the north can breed poverty among the rural folks in the south.

Whether Jonathan builds farms or schools or railway in the north, some northerners will still not vote for him because he can never be a Northerner.
PoliticsRe: Can Jonathan Win Election Through A Campaign Of Personal Attacks And Hate? by ogb5(m): 9:36am On Mar 04, 2015
There are two ways to manage a campaign. Pdp can show what they have done and plan to do and they can also show the electorates that they are a better option.

To show that pdp is the better option, they need to show the weakness of the opposition.

APC is campaigning on the platform of Integrity, so PDP wants people to reason it out whether People like Tinubu with little integrity can actually deliver integrity as party leaders
PoliticsRe: Can Jonathan Win Election Through A Campaign Of Personal Attacks And Hate? by ogb5(m): 9:04am On Mar 04, 2015
It is absurd for an APC supporter to complain about hateful campaign. APC quest for the presidency has been built on getting the electorates to hate Jonathan in the last 5 yrs.

It is right from Jonathan's 2nd month in office as president that they started by tagging him clueless. They followed up by calling the wife several derogatory names. Each time Amaechi insults the President, APC folks and their propaganda machines are all over the place clapping for Amaechi.

APC did not start their campaign by saying we should vote for their candidate, they have always maintain that we should vote out Jonathan, even the op repeated that line in his post. APC did not bother to tell us what they will do, they simply try to build hatred against Jonathan and urges everyone to vote against Jonathan.

The opposition is lucky that Jonathan is easy going, in many countries trying to instigate hatred against a sitting president will land you in jail, that is why we have laws against slander and libel

Due to the fact that Buhari is looking for southern votes, Buhari is unable to scream that killing Boko haram is injustice against the North.

noblefarm:
thanks sir. pls which varietyy will give best yield sir, cos everybody is saying his own is hybrid. which variety is the best.
need ur advice too sir, plantain and palm oil which one do u think is the best to go into. thanks
Plantain can be sold after harvest without additional processing, palm produce need additional processing into palm oil before sales. There is guaranteed market for palm oil because right now nigeria is importing oil for industrial use. The market for plantain is still suspect because it is basically a food crop.

If you have large amount of land and time and capital required for post harvest processing, I will advice you to go for palm oil. However for small land size or lack of time for post harvest processing, then go for plantain. But on the long run palm oil will generate more revenue than plantain for an individual investor.
