Hey,ogb5,thks so much for your kindly help!
i have another question, the form m can approval within 3-4 days? smiley
Form m can be approve in 1 or 2 days. Just ensure that it leave your bank branch to their head office on the day you give them the proforma invoice and the insurance. On arrival at the bank head office they will have the Form M accepted within 24 hrs.

Tell them to communicate to you in writing immediately the form M is approved

Hey,thks all of u! i told my suppier and forwarder to change the shipment date.so what your meaning is,i can re open form m again from bank with supply correct PI,right? But the last i opened form m ,how to do? throw it or need adv bank to cancel ?
very worried for this, tonight i slept badly. cry
changing the shipment date is a wise step.
Next get the correct proforma invoice from the supplier, and send it to your bank, let the bank advice you on what to do with the old form M.
if the new invoice has a different invoice number, you can open a new Form M with it.
As for the old Form M, I don't think there is any sanction for not using any form M. why not just discard it when you secure a new form M.

the important thing is that you should get a form M based on the proforma invoice both you and the supplier agree to, and ensure that the form M acceptance is communicated to you before you tell the supplier to load the goods.

Bill of Lading date should be later than the form M approval date.

meet people in the business, like those selling truck heads, they should be able to link you. I got an offer once at Ibadan. They sounded then as if it a normal business in that people are always renting/leasing the tanks
BusinessRe: How To Reopen Form M by ogb5(m): 4:42am On Apr 09, 2011
if I am in this situation again, I will suspend the shipment until Form M issues are sorted out. I hate begging Nigerian officials when they see an error in a transaction.
BusinessRe: How To Reopen Form M by ogb5(m): 4:38am On Apr 09, 2011
make sure for M issues are sorted out before you load your goods on the ship. We just had a case like this and is not easy to sort out. Form M approval date must preceed the bill of lding date or else you will need CBN waiver to get your risk assessment report to clear your goods.

get the correct proforma invoice from the exporter and process the insurance for the goods then give it to your bank. The approval is normally done within a day or two. but ensure the Form M is approve before shipping

PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Many Faces by ogb5(m): 4:33pm On Apr 02, 2011
I wish you can chip in your analysis. How does WAI relate to war against corruption. IBB actually attempted to expand WAI to include war against corruption by forming what he termed war against indiscipline and corruption WAIC, off course it did not work. Satan can not cast out demons. Just like a sectional leader like buhari can not be a nationalist
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Many Faces by ogb5(m): 2:51pm On Apr 02, 2011
As at 1983 when buhari took over, the most pressing national problem was not corruption, there was a global recession affecting all oil exporters. Shagari was attempting to address it before he was thrown out by buhari. And buhari did not constitute a body against corruption, what he fought against was indiscipline by forming WAI and buhari failed to see that the recession was the greater problem then. His policies led to the closure of more companies and alienated other countries
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Many Faces by ogb5(m): 12:54pm On Apr 02, 2011
The problem is that Buhari sees himself as a vehicle for the protection of the Northern Interest, I don't have anything against that, but he should stop trying to fool people into thinking that he is a nationalist, he is not and will never be.

PTF was set up due to due to agitation by Northerners after the creation of ompadec, but while ompadec had a yearly budget of 3 billion naira at inseption, PTF had 60 billion at inseption, so PTF creation was a master stroke against the south. the southerners asked for Ompadec and got extra 3 billion naira yearly, in response the northerners asked for PTF and got extra 60 billion naira yearly and to execute the masterstroke perfectly, they needed a perfect protector of Northern interests, there comes in Buhari, the rest is history. To fool a few southerners they do a few projects in the south and spend the bulk of the fund in the north and we now get people being fooled that PTF did projects in the south.

In truth, PTF put Project signposts in the south and did projects in the North. and the PTF budget spend per region shows the extent of the disparity in project execution between the North and South.
If I were to be a northerner and does not believe in fiscal federalism, I will push for a Buhari presidency. But as a southerner who believes that every region of the country should be treated fairly in the distribution of national wealth, I will not support Buhari and people like him.
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Many Faces by ogb5(m): 12:30pm On Apr 02, 2011
Pataki:
Oga,

There is nothing serious with those issues that has not been addressed over and over again on this forum.

How people suddenly claim PTF fund was used for the development of the North is at best put to be ludicrous.

I remember as far back in my secondary school days in Abeokuta, PTF donated desks, and laboratory equipments. One of the first project PTF undertook was in Lagos. The Federal Medical Center at Idi-aba in Abeokuta was well funded by PTF back in those years. I remember vividly commissioning upon commission of various projects and equipments handed to that hospital back then.

I would be doing great injustice and high dishonesty if I said, I never felt the impact of PTF.

And most shocking enough, I never knew it was a Buhari behind this development nor did I know, this same man never collected one dime as a salary for being the PTF director but rather preferred to remain solely on his pension.

Now tell me how does this man connote as being tribal and a religious bigot. Shock me with an amazing discovery.

I would not entrust the leadership of my nation into the hands of Goodluck. He is highly incompetent and utterly clueless about this country.
I have always followed the PTF story right from the inseption of the PTF so I don't need to hear it from others before knowing what PTF did. That PTF did some projects in the south is not in doubt.
As a matter of fact PTF donated 1 bus to Uniport while I wa a student then at uniport. Several other universities were given buses also. PTF set up a drug revolving fund, for Government hospitals, UPTH Port harcourt and Central hospital Warri were beneficiaries. I am a witness to these so do not need any one to tell me.

The problem is that how much does the buses given to schools in the South cost compared to the cost of projects in the North. Also how much does it cost to set up a drug revolving fund,  compared to the cost of multiple PTF projects used to dot the north by Buhari's PTF.

The cost comparism has been made, PTF budget and expenditure has been looked into and the verdit was that 80% of the fund was used in the North. For a Supposely national organisation, such wide disparity in budget spend between the North and the South is not good enough.

I was in the secondary school during Buhari's rule in 1984-1985. I will never wish those days for my enemies. Soldiers breaking into peoples shops and auctioning goods at give away prices. Got the currency changed thereby forcing everyone to deposit there money in the bank and refusing to alllow people to withdraw their money from the bank after depositng the money. Imagine starving when you have money in your bank account. Nigerians were queueing for Rice, Detergent, salt and vegetable oil essential commodities they were called then, and they have to queue for days to get these stuff to buy.

I will not tell people to vote for GEJ or Ribadu, but certaining I will not advice even my enemies to vote for Buhari, we need progress not retrogression.

PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Many Faces by ogb5(m): 10:58am On Apr 02, 2011
Pataki:
Jonathan's action shows that his worldview is narrow and shaped by his ethnicity and religion. There is no reason to believe his next four years would change. So why should I commit the leadership of my country into the hands of a proven religious bigot who tells me to go and pray that the people responsible for the October 1 2010 bomb attacks would come out and repent of their sins and tribalist that encourages only non-yoruba people in Lagos to vote for him and calls leaders of other political parties within the SW region - ''rascals''?! Why?
Pataki,

what is being said of Buhari are serious issues. It will be nice if you do not twist it toward Goodluck. Also note that Buhari as head of PTF used 80% of National fund for only a section of the country because he is from there. That is sectionalism at its worst.

The Leaders Nigeria need are national leaders who will see the wholecountry has his constituency, not someone like buhari who sees himself as a northwesterner, then northerner before regarding himself as a Nigerian.

How can will be sure that if Buhari is voted in, he will not use 80% of the federal Budget in the North just as he did with PTF fund.

PoliticsRe: Gej's Sins by ogb5(m): 9:46pm On Mar 15, 2011
i think there is  a grand design to make GEJ hated before the elections. How he manages the attacks on him will determine his success not only during the elections, but also after the election.

No president has been so belittled in nigeria like GEJ, imagine some people trying to throw stones at his convoy. this will not even happen to a police commissioner.
Anyway some people believe they own the country and others are tenants
PoliticsRe: What We Did Not Know About Buhari by ogb5(m): 9:52am On Feb 15, 2011
dayokanu:
Vote Buhari.
In 2011, GMB is not alone. He's supported by a team of volunteers online and offline like me, who never voted for him before. We didn't vote for him, because we didn't know. We didn't know that he supervised and birthed our only existing refineries. We didn't know that what he did in road construction while in the PTF hasn't been matched by 12yrs of the PDP, even though we claimed they were lopsided. We didn't know that in his time as head of state he reduced inflation from 23% to 4%, by fiscal discipline and a homegrown economic team (not achieved under any other era, even military). We didn't know that there was no religious crisis while he led. We didn't know that JJ Rawlings of Ghana took over 2yrs before him, and killed all the corrupt leaders, while GMB merely gave his own, long-term jail sentences. We didn't know that the hospitals and universities around the country never witnessed as much benefits they got from the PTF from any government after or before his time. We did not know, that this man haven been in all the oil sectors in Nigeria, has no petrol station, much less a refinery or an oil rig like so many of our leaders. We never voted him, because we did not know.
I am very sure you were either not around when buhari was rulling or too young to understand what was happening then. Buhari as military leader was too ignorant to run a country, as head of PTF buhari was to sectional to run a national organisation like the ptf. If there is a ministry on Northern Nigeria, Buhari might fit in, but I doubt if he can even do a good job in such a ministry. When buhari was ruling as head of state, Nigerians had to queue up for days to get essential commodities, and what were the essential commodities then, Omo (soap), rice, bread and vegetable oil. People collapsed and died from hunger and exhaustion from those queues, offcourse you were too young to notice.

The man crumbled Nigeria economy in a few weeks on entering. Nigerians generally do not commit suicide, but during Buhari regime, Nigerians were commiting suicide. Soldiers trampled on peoples rights, flogging people on the street, breaking into departmental shops and forcing the owners to sell their goods below their cost price, what a way to bring down inflation. Ofcourse the departmental stores like Kingsway left, and were replaced by kiosks. What also left was foreign confidence in the Nigeria as a country, no one wanted to risk coming to a place were the govt can trample on their rights, and the result today is very high unemployment because of lack of foreign investment beside oil exploration.

Buhari is a dictator and tribal leader.

His period as head of PTF was very unfortunate. He was among those who asked for ptf to be established just because ompadec was establish to use 1.5% of oil derivation money for the Niger delta. As head of ptf, Buhari installed project billboards in the south and did projects in the north. What a silly and sectional thing to do. He is among those who for decades, did not believe that the Niger delta needed extra money to counter the effect of oil exploration and just because ompadec got 1.5% derivation fund to cater for the oil producing communities, they founded PTF for the northerners. Nigeria does not need leaders who think of what their region can get from the nation, rather those who think of what their region can contribute to the overall development of the nation.

Nigeria does not need buhari

right now let him meet the northerners to vote for him, southerners are not in thesame country with him and he should not ask for southern vote.

THe president nigerian needs is the one who will see the who country as his constituent, not tribal, religious or sectional leaders.

Buhari should contest as head of ACF not as president of Nigeria.
